I completely understand. Filed March 6, Biometrics April 9, and nothing. I'm in the same boat as you and thinking the same- how on EARTH are people expected to survive without their EADs for so long??? It's absolutely insane, but I firmly believe that this entire immigration process is only designed for the resilient. 
 
I've cried a lot in the past three months, but after that, I gathered myself and continued sending resumes. Word of advice- go to the job interviews regardless, ace your interviews, get an offer letter, and EXPEDITE. I am supposed to have my offer letter tomorrow. Already got in touch with my congressman. I have all my other documents to furnish as proof of financial hardship to send, (late payment notices on credit card, late payment notice on HOA,) along with my offer letter. From the moment I get that offer letter in my hand I'm sending everything to Congressman's office. We are allowed to cry, we are allowed to be depressed, but we cannot crumble under this incredibly difficult system.

I feel exactly the same. My husband wants to have a infopass but I really don’t think that would help at all.
i have a wild idea is to move to place where local office handle cases faster.. I mean it is insane to wait a year while some people get it in three months. After you get your green card you can move again, right. 

Visa package was delivered to DHL in Montego Bay this morning at 9:02am and Reni has picked up his package!!!!!!!

Next up is POE next Wednesday, and I can tell you one thing...waiting these next 6 days is gonna be a cake walk after waiting a year and a month since the beginning of our K1 journey!!!

I never had a engagement ring or an "official proposal" and I had no problem with that on my interview. We got married and we dont even have wedding bands lol we just dont care for that kind of stuff, so there's no point in having t just to prove our marriage to other people!

going good. nope some stragglers are still trying to cross the finish line along with you. We had the consulate interview next Wednesday but a Brazilian truckers union strike has crippled fuel supply in Brazil. the airports are closed and the freeways blocked by strikers... looks like July probably for us after an interview reschedule now... amazing our bad luck

Bummer. He shouldn't have any problems coming by himself tho! 
 
Let us know once you have it issued!! As I said, after that its pretty fast. If I remember correctly, my case went from ready to app received and then ap, so you skipped that one. I'd say it should be issued before wed next week

It is normal, mine stayed like that for almost 10 days! Once it's issued it should be delivered really fast

After nearly 1 year of stress and many tears (may 5th 2017 filer) I was finally approved at Sydney Embassy on Tue !
after having our file lost, having to re do a whole new petition, under AP for a total of 11 weeks after First Noa2 in October 2017 , I really am in disbelief our visa is already on its way to me. 
Tue 24th interview 
Thursday 25th issued and collected for delivery. 
My tracking number says I will receive today. 
3 days from start to finish !
the gods were smiling down on us for the first time in this crazy journey 🙏
POE is 7th May, so spending my last week saying goodbye to my family and be very thankful ! 
 

So I panicked for nothing...he was missing one immunization shot which they just gave him and the nurse told him not to change the interview because she will get the medical exam to the embassy before the end of the day. 
 
So now I just have to wait for him to journey back to me and in a few hours we will be together!!!!
 
Now I can relax....until Friday!

I would not change it. For the same reason you already stated, at this point, after waiting so long, it's hust not worth taking the risk of a system error. And we know they are possible.
 
as Michael said, POE is super smooth, I've never heard anyone complain about it even having visa or entry issues before. Nothing was asked to me, nothing and I was alone.
 
when I had my interview they did not have my medical exams, so the CO said everything looked good but she couldnt approve it yet because of my medical, but it got at the embassy at that very same day, in the afternoon. Just one thing that you might want to check is how long it takes to get his visa issued after the interview. Will you guys pick it up at the embassy? 
 
I had problems with that, but I (anxious as I am) bought my tickets before the interview lol I went to the post office get my passport one day before my flight. So, to be honest with you, that is probably the only delay you can have at this point.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Yes, we have endured so much together and we are both just at the end. Me on Friday and you on Monday!!!! I will be available while abroad so if you need to reach out to me, just send me a PM or post here and I'll respond, I keep my phone accessible while traveling abroad because my son still has to be able to reach me while I'm away.
 
I will definitely post the results of our interview as soon as we walk out the embassy. In my heart, I know that we will be okay, we've made it this far which is why I said I'm not gonna change our interview date. Just gonna pray the medical is at the embassy before we get there and if not, hopefully it will get there by Monday/Tuesday of next week so they can process his visa and we can fly home together. But I will do my best to stay as long as I can so we can fly home together because we won't be back to Jamaica for a while afterwards. But I believe that God has this all worked out so there's no point for me to worry or stress anymore about it!!!
 
I will be checking up on you on Monday to hear the good news because we are still riding this train together!!!!

Guys quick updates uscis finaly gave me call back and the officer said that they are working on my case and should have interview notice in my mail soon . I don't know how did this happen but it happened . Thanks God 

Okay guys....MEDICAL EXAM COMPLETED AND CHECKED OFF THE LIST!!!!!
 
Reni said his overall experience was easy but that it was a long day. His appointment was scheduled for 8am but due to Kingston traffic he showed up at 9-9:15am (10-10:15 EST). He said that the people were nice and that the doctor who went over his medical history form didn't not persist with on asking him repeatedly about drug/alcohol/marijuana usage. He asked once for each question and he said no each time, so I guess he got the "good doctor" who was scheduled for yesterday's roll call...lol.
 
They did the normal blood work, urine test and chest x-rays. The did not give him his chest x-rays like they have in the past - the nurse told him that they will forward everything to the Embassy.He said he only needed 2 vaccines which only cost him $7000JMD which is approximately $58.00USD. His total amount he paid was $30320JMD (which is the medical exam fee and the 2 vaccines), which is approximately $245.00USD, which is AWESOME because of course we expected and were prepared to pay more. I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND going to your local doctor or clinic and getting the required vaccines prior to the medical because it is cheaper to do. I had Reni do this 3-5 months ago so the fact he only needed 2 vaccines is GREAT! The nurse provided his DS-3025 without him even having to ask for it and she was kind enough to explain to him the purpose of this form. The nurse was kind of enough to tell him that his medical exam will be there in time for his interview (I don't know if she was just being nice or she is the one that will personally handle preparing his medical form packet to send it to the Embassy considering the Embassy is a couple blocks away from the Hospital but hopefully it will be there before the interview). He completed his medical exam at 2:30pm (3:30 EST).
 
So our "Grand Finale" is next Friday (April 27th) and Reni and I are on an official countdown to hearing those beautiful words that we have dreamt about since May 23, 2017!!!! I will be flying on Wednesday to be with him and attend his interview!!!!

I just got the same notice on my email!!! This is crazy I didnt expect it AT ALL!!! 
 
P.S. Looks like our cases are on the same desk as we got almost identical timelines

UPDATE just today: Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. Hopefully they will be able to schedule it soon, I’ll just keep on praying. 😌

Asking for everyone to keep their thoughts and prayers for Reni as he journeys to Kingston as we speak to attend his medical exam. He's been on the road since 3am this morning (4am EST) as it is a 3-4 hour commute from his Parish which is on the west side of the island to Kingston which is on the southeast side of the island. His medical exam is scheduled for 8am and of course I've made sure he's ready to go!
 
I will share his experience later in the day after he completes his medical exam.
