Ours was two to three days before it changed to In Transit, if that's what you're asking but I know that it sometimes takes longer and... I recall reading someone's post (don't remember which forum or when) where the status never changed on the tracker but they were suddenly informed that their case was at their embassy.  I know that that's not all that helpful but it's the best I've got... this whole process remains a black box...

    Thanks alot

Should I call and ask nvc staff about the real time status?

Hi, your signature timeline doesn't show an NOA 2 date but I saw that your VJ timeline has 10/2.

So you have not called YET?

We had ours NVC number in 12 days so you are at day 15 or so. I would call NOW.

Yes we made the deposit already and you Don't need the NVC number to make the deposit.

They gave us a receipt with number on it after she made payment at BPI.

Which kind of deposit you guys talking about?

Some visa applicants at the NVC have fees to be paid so an Invoice # is generated that links the payment to your case.  Not applicable to K1 visas but the system at NVC gives an invoice number automatically with each case.

The NVC # is embassy specific 3 letters and 10 numbers that the state department uses to process your case and allow you to track the progress from NVC to in transit to ready to interview to processing to issued.

But I can't track my case I have the 13 digits case #

The system don't give any status for my case

This has been brought up in both this thread and in other areas of the forum.  The consensus seems to be to mark "Intend" and then in Section 7 for additional information put "N/A (K-1 Visa Applicant)".

I don't think it really matters either way, as it is N/A anyway.  People have marked it both ways, and there doesn't appear to be any issues.

    As always YMMV.

you sure we don't need to provide details of support?

    Thanks for respond

Be sure the Beneficiary is the one who actually clicks the SUBMIT button on the DS-160  Your IP address is captured and they definitely want the DS-160 to be from the beneficiary.

I-134 was straight forward.  If you make enough salary (125% of poverty) then don't worry about all the assett stuff.  I was really loose with my I-134, just a snapshot of my bank accounts on a given day and I didn't include any portfolio info (stocks, bonds, IRA's, CD's, etc)  Include your 1099's and tax statements.  They supposedly prefer Tax Transcripts over copied tax 1040's, which you can get from the IRS website really easily with a copy of last years return in hand to answer some obscure question to prove it is you.  Include your pay stubs and the employer letter and you are good.

Continuing Relationship evidence.......just include a random sample of communication over the last 5 months.  One a week is good.  Select something to share with them that isn't too personal, maybe something with talk of wedding, etc.

what is difference between Invoice # and NVC #

Schedule your medical as soon as you get the NVC#.  The immunizations are included in the medical cost.  The shots include:

    • Mumps
    • Measles
    • Rubella
    • polio
    • tetanus and diphtheria toxoids
    • pertussis
    • influenzae type b (Hib)
    • hepatitis B
    • varicella
    • pneumococcal and
    • influenza

I'm not sure if every country gives every shot but they will be included in your medical fee.

    THANKS

YOU WILL GET YOUR APPROVAL SOON

Congratulations on your NOA2!  It was a long 5 months but you made it!

Hopefully you are on top of all the other requirements.  Things like police certificates, DS-160s, scheduling medical exams, scheduling the interview, etc...

There is a lot to do and once you receive the NVC # you have a lot of control as to how fast things move.

The NVC# is used for tracking your visa application.  It is also used when you schedule the interview and the medical exam.

    thanks a lot

NVC # is only used for tracking right it does not have any use in DS 160

please also let me when should I take my medical and which vaccines will be required pre interview?
