For everyone whose interview is to come just know that it's a great feeling when you're going to be done with it and knowing there's nothing more to stress about for now! We just got approved yesterday and I'm soooo happy that soon I'll be with my fiance after so much time spent apart
. I was very nervous but the people were very nice and reassuring. So I'm going to tell you how it was for me in case you might find it helpful.
I was at the Embassy in Bucharest 30 mins earlier and they told me to wait across the street (there were 3 more people). A man came with a list when it was close to 1 and he asked to see the passport and the confirmation page of the DS160. He called us inside where we had to remove the belt, give them electronics and go through a metal detector (I beeped but they still let me go haha) Then when I was done with that I had to walk outside to enter another building where I got seated in the waiting room and I got called to window 2 very fast to have my fingerprints taken (since I was very nervous the woman had to explain me a lot of times how to place my fingers and she got a little annoyed with me but it's understandable
) Then she asked for the payment confirmation, 2 pictures, police certificate, passport, copy of passport, birth certificate original and copy, proof of financial support and proof of relationship. Then she told me to wait to be called at window 9. I was the last to be called which perfect since it gave me more time to relax and remember the exact dates.
Then I was called by the an officer and he asked me where I've met my fiance, how much we've been talking for, his age, his job, if he speaks romanian, if my family will attend the wedding, if he has visited me before, if he was married, if i have ever been to the US and what plans do I have after I go there. After I answered all this questions he said "Ok, we're done here" This scared me so much because he said it in a very serious voice so I thought he was going to deny me but then he said "I've approved your visa and you'll get it in 2 or 3 days"
I was sooo happy and i couldn't thank him enough. Now i just have to get the visa and that's it. So for everyone that's going to have the interview soon don't stress out like me because it's going to be just fine

Something really unexpected happened today! I had checked the CEAC website everyday to see the status of our case and it was always showing "at nvc". Today my fiance received the packet 3 from my embassy and he forwarded it to me! I couldn't believe it since on the website it was still showing it's at nvc and I guess i just got used to things moving really slow haha
so i asked him to call the NVC to confirm it and they said it had been sent to the embassy since 21th september so it's been a while. I still can't believe it as i was expecting it to happen by the end of the next month. I am still in shock haha

So the affadavit that you need from both you and your fiance for the RFE stating you've met.... Is there a sample out there to see what it should look like?
http://www.k1approved.com/k1-fiance-visa-guide/sample-fiance-meeting-statement-form-i-129f/ I found this website really helpful, it shows an example of the statement you need to send just to make an idea

Not quite sure what exactly you're saying but if you got your police certificate for a visa, you are fine. They make no specifications about it as long as you got a police certificate that hasnt yet expired you are okay

I just got out of bed to check mine and confirm it said that same thing (US Visa) and didn't specifically mentioned the K1.
Thank you so much, i guess I am a little paranoid right now
Good to know I don't have to make another one

Hello everyone, I am a little concerned about the police certificate because I only said it's for USA visa and didn't specify K1, do you think i should change it or it doesn't matter?

I do not know about your country but it was not needed in the Manila Embassy. It is needed for her CFO she will do as soon as she has her passports back
That's good to know, thank you!

Hello everyone! Did anyone need the petitioner's original/certified birth certificate for the interview?

Thanks ill keep this in mind, maybe I will give fiancé in case they demand it and just have her explain why I flipped it to married early. Has your case been received by NVC yet? I am NOA2 9/5/2017 as well and they have received mine yet.
It hasn't been received yet, my fiance just called in the morning and they said to call back friday because it takes a while for the approval to get sent and they also don't put into their system so fast even though it might have arrived. By this point we are just trying to focus on getting everything else ready so that way we don't delay it more

Also I'm interested if they require the paystubs? I didn't see it listed on the I-134. I was thinking of omitting them since I flipped my status to married early to get tax benefit. We will marry before January. I don't want to give them paystubs if I don't have to due to this change for tax benefit.
I saw some posts where some people were mentioning about them so we just wanted to be safe. Others were saying everything went fine only having the employment letter and tax returns so I guess it depends on the embassy of each country by this point

Hey everyone! I am a little confused if there is anything more we need for the Affidavit of support. This is what we have so far:
- the completed form
- bank statements with the total amount of money deposited
- letter of employment
- w2s for the last 2 years
- pay stubs for 6 months
- 2 years of income tax return electronically filed copies
I was also wondering if there is any of these documents that need to be signed, i'd be thankful if someone would tell me

Thank you! Interview next week, yay
I'm not going to lie, I think when I was more frustrated along this process was after NVC while waiting for my Embassy to contact me with the instructions to proceed (actually I did contact them) and specially waiting for them to review my documents and authorise me to book everything. Once you have dates, you feel so much better... And after doing the medical you really feel the end is coming
You'll see for yourself! Though things are really really fast for your country, so yay, not much to stress about soon
I've heard too that for the more popular countries the process might be more lenghty so when it comes to that it shouldn't be too bad since there aren't a lot of people from Romania applying

Big congrats to you two! Any of you can call NVC, they are nice like that and recognize the beneficiary's existence
So give it a try if you feel like it
Thank you so much! Congratulations to you too, i see you already have the interview scheduled so that must feel very nice

138 days here. I called USCIS on Thursday. He gave me a "referral number" Said I will be contacted by mail/ Anyone had any luck with this?
My fiance called Friday and they didn't give him any referral number, they were just saying they were processing february cases. Maybe it could be a good thing that they gave you a referral number at least

Jesus, its been 140 days and nothing from USCIS .I can see people even got their interview scheduled whose NOA1 date is even after me or most of them have already receive their NOA2 .Not sure how the hell they are picking up those files like on what basis. Hopefully their is something this week.
I know what you mean, 144 days of waiting and still haven't heard anything. Hopefully we hear something this week, then everything will go by a lot faster and we'll be able to finally be with our loved ones

Congratulations to everyone who got so far in this process! Seeing your cases move so fast after you've got the NOA2 gives me some hope that maybe the waiting is not going to be that agonising after we also receive our NOA2.. It's been 141 days and we haven't heard anything and it makes it even worse not having seen my fiance since january and knowing we can only see each other after i get done with the interview..He called the USCIS today and spoke to the tier 2 who hasn't been helpful at all. He was thinking to send a letter to the senator, anyone know if that would help and what we could tell them?

We have the same NOA1 date! The two apps I use are the USCIS and CASE TRACKER. I don't think either is officially an extension of USCIS. I looked at the developer profile and they same to be made my independent developers. In any case, the case tracker app is a good one because you can follow a few cases around your NOA1 date (using establiz's April i129 list posted last week-- thank you dear!), and with those cases you can run a search for all the i129's you're following to see whether those are progressing.
Thank you so much! Hopefully we're going to be approved soon

We got our NOA1 on 13th april and still no answer..waiting impatiently. My fiance called the USCIS already but he couldn't find much. Now we want to try out the USCIS app, can anyone tell me please which one is legit?

You have to wait for packet 3 from the Embassy with the instructions and then you can schedule the interview, at least that's how it was in my case. They sent the instructions to my fiance on the email and he sent it to me.
