Hello everyone!
Does anyone here have a SD Jan 5th 2018? Or similar dates? If so, would you mind maybe just liking this post so I can follow your timeline and get a notice when your cases reach CC? (Just so I don't bother with PM or multiple posts).
Given my SD Jan 5th, when should I expect my CC realistically?
Thank you!
Have a good day everyone, and let the Dec CC's come!
Everything I have read is saying 4-6 weeks from scan date (assuming you've done the fees/DS260 and all already) to Case Complete. So I would say mid-February?

Many thanks

I had been wondering the same. Glad I came across this!

Exactly 6 weeks
You guys are making me panic because they just got my documents today. I'm crossing my fingers that there's no checklists or anything

NVC received my case in December, all fees paid and they received all of my documents (we had to wait on the police report) today. Here is hoping they're in fast review mode!

The medical at Kingsbridge can be done at any time but you will need more than a single day for the results.
Understood on this. Moreso concerned with whether we are really screwing ourselves timewise by doing them back to back v. separating them.

All,
I know I've seen some very old posts on this but want to make sure I'm not too far off.
My wife and stepkids have to travel 4 hours to London to do these appointments (We are currently mid-NVC process but pre-planning). How bad does it mess things up to do the medical and the visa interview the next day?
Only asking because travel for 4 people to London is easily 400 a trip just for the bus. If they go by plane/train it doesn't get much better. We easily cut 40% off the cost by getting a hotel and doing them in succession. Any risk to this other than getting a "Approved pending medical?" Also, how quick would we know the full approval so that we could schedule flights out of the country?
Thanks!

All,
Working on the NVC packets and the checklist says to include marriage certificates and all. I am bringing my wife and stepkids. Should I include my wife and I's marriage certificate in the kids packet as proof of relationship with the children? Thanks!

Nevermind. It took care of itself

Hoping someone has an idea here. The NVC gave me the case numbers and invoice numbers for my 4 petitions. I was able to do a choice of agent for 3 and the NVC was immediately able to process those forms and finalize it. For the other, it took about an hour before the choice of agent form was available. I filled it out and called and got the speech that I shouldn't have been able to do it for up to 4 weeks.
So now, I have one petition that at least 2-3 NVC agents have refused to touch, saying I will have to wait weeks for my case to be entered into the system so that I can make my choice of agent/pay my fees, but I already made my choice of agent in the CEAC and they were able to process the other 3. Are they just being difficult?

Yes I have been saying this for months. I think one person in Nebraska enters all the approvals after they are mailed. It's probably easier to do them all at once.
Sorry, didn't realize it until I saw it.....you're definitely right... but I think it may also be they mail them in bulk... approve them, pile them and forward to the NVC all at once

Here are all the updates I got
( These are just all the updates on case # I was tracking )
April 3rd. ~~~ sent to DoS
( sad part this case # is 9 away from my case # )
March 20 ( 5 cases ). ~~~ Sent to DoS
Match 19 ~~~~. Sent to DoS
March 17 ~~~~. Sent to DoS
March 15 ~~~~ Sent to DoS
March 13 ( 3 cases ). ~~~ Sent to DoS
March 6 ( 3 cases ) ~~~. Sent to DoS
March 3 ( 2 cases ) ~~~~ Sent to DoS
March 2 ( 2 cases ) ~~~~ Sent to DoS
February 24. ~~~~~ Sent to DoS
February 21 ( 2 cases ) ~~~ Sent to DoS
February 15 ~~~~. Sent to DoS
January 25 ~~~~ Sent to DoS
December 19 ~~~~. Sent to DoS
So yeah they approved lots of petitions today looks like
@harsh2010 I am realizing there is a pattern to these. They are sending them in bulk to the NVC or something. For example, my cases were approved on 12/8 but they didn't show online that they were forwarded to DOS until today.

I will admit it is a bit unusual, and even when I talked to my state Senator about it, he says situations unless are for health reasons don't get approved without paperwork to back it up. it is what it is, let it roll off your on your way to NVC now.
I guess they figured the mental health of three children from a low-fraud country would be hard to prove... and minimal risk it's for anything but a legit reason

that by far is great news, and once they are far away from him, I am certain things will get better.
I appreciate that. Either way, I'm just letting you know what I told them. I'm getting a lot of hatred because I wasn't asked for evidence or rejected. I guess I was just lucky.

I am sure that once they get here and get settled it would get better for them, I hope the biological father doesn't cause any issues with them for getting their visa's to come to USA, people like that might do all they can to stop it.
We caught him in a good mood one day and had him have a document witnessed with a solicitor authorizing their move. He really doesn't have any ground to stand on with trying to stop it.

Wish I knew what you told them to approve your expedite but congrats!
Like I said my friend.... literally... Extenuating Circumstances... and explained I have three young kids with a loose cannon of a biological father. Let them know that this process wasn't something they could understand at their age and that it was to the point it was causing them to act out, both at school and at home. My youngest's teacher actually pulled my wife aside during the update meetings to let her know there was cause for concern. Pretty much it.

congrats
how did you request that ??
Just called USCIS customer service. If you meet one of 10 (I think) criteria and can prove it, you can get an approval. It's rough though... someone on another forum got denied citing ISIS attacks in Egypt but I got approved having young kids in a rough situation with their bio-dad and being emotionally distraught by me being gone.

Yes I agree with Longingfor.... Try at NVC to expedite as well.
I was thinking about it...... but this is perfect... would get the kids to almost the end of the school year... would give my wife time to pack up.... ... in a perfect world... we do our interview and all in April... my birthday and our wedding anniversary.........

That's really terrible. I'm sorry to hear it. Mine is still the same. 11/21 I placed it. It was under review on 12/4 and when I followed up on 12/7. I put myself in queue for T2 so that I can check the status today. If not I'll call first thing tomorrow.
I just got off the phone with Tier 2. They said my expedite request was approved yesterday and all 4 I-130's are being forwarded to the NVC :-)

JustinS,
If your case is under review then that’s a good thing. Give it time..
@Sundee This is for an expedite. Not the case itself. Either way, our friend on the forum has had two rejections in the time I've been pending for one... so.... I won't take that as bad news

I have started 2 one on 11/27 that was denied on 12/2 the other when I called back to find out the first one denied and did another 12/7 and got the email today it was also denied...I placed a call to my congressman's office but the person who handles these cases is out this week and I wouldn't get a return call till Monday.

well both of my expedite request have been denied, apparently ISIS in Egypt doesn't qualify to have a case looked at sooner..
Weird... mine is still pending...

Speaking of waiting, how long does it normally take from delivery to scan date. The NVC has had my documents since the beginning of the week but have not scanned them in so I'm basically getting further back in line. Thank you.
