Yes we got approved. But for interview I'm worried.
You might already know this but some of the reasons that I have seen k1 visas get denied have been for . Huge age difference between the couple , not enough evidence of the relationship or bad criminal record of the beneficiary . Some embassies are more strict than others a lot of the African countries , Caribbean and Arabic countries .

Yes sir, we got engaged and we have a lot of proves to show for our real relationship. My family his family photos of engagement day, video etc.
thank you very much for your time to respond me.
best regards.
Great ! The don’t worry too much I’m asuming that if there was an issue with your fiancé the petitioners criminal record it would had came up when you guys sent the paper work .

Try contacting the embassy through email or phone . My fiancé’s visa was in ap for almost 4 weeks and after I emailed them a 3 days later I heard their actual decision . If it was approved I wouldn’t worry about him obtaining the visa but you might have to contact them you never know you might have to remind them about your case . Best of luck with everything .

Hello everybody, I just want to know, my fiance ( petitioner) 9 years ago had a criminal record, but it is closed by court!
At school some hooligans attack him, and he (my fiancé, Petitioner) was alone, they was 6 and one guy of that group of hooliganes was injured by (my fiance) he attack with small knife on his leg and arm, the reason was to protect himself from that band of hooliganes. My fiancé was arrested for short time (one month) and that case was closed by court after 7 years.
So can this influence on his interview or to get his visa? I'm so worried 😩 about this. Now he is doing his PhD degree and he never have any problem. Only that one!!!
As long as your relationship is real and you have proof pictures and screen shots of conversations and you the beneficiary has a clean record with the law you should be fine . I saw on that reality show 90 day fiancé visa on tlc that one of the petitioners has a criminal record for marijuana and his fiancé the benifisary still got approved .

Why is the President blamed for everything in Immigration when obvious lack of preparation might be the real reason??
Did things really change a lot on uscis applications after trump winning presidency ? I submit my previous application before he was president and things went ok , but now I'm about to start another process and I'm scared because of all the things people are saying about trump . Anyways to the person who made this post , you are not alone in in this . My k1 visa for my fiancé got denied too and it was very devastating , his was denied for something in his police report but we won't give up until we are finally together for good and if you do truly love this woman you guys shouldn't give up either . Best wishes

Congratulations I am starting mi es soon , keep us posted on how the interview goes and all best luck to you both ❤️

My bf and I have been keeping a close watch on processing times as we want to file K1 in december. He is very pessimistic about it and thinks with all the new rules it will just take longer and longer. He is convinced that, now the president can't stop immigration, he will do whatever he can to discourage people to immigrate. He fears the proces will only be delayed more and more and become more expensive.
What are the new rules ?

May they work slower because they are busy spending all that extra money LOL
Haha you never know ! But I read and article that when the applications prices go up is because suppostly they hire more people to get things done faster , but from ive been reading here it seems to me the opposite or maybe they are looking at each case more closely .

I sent my k1 visa application last year and the whole approval with Interview and all tool around 7 months and that's considering that they requested more evidence or else it would had taken less time , sometimes I wonder that when uscis increases the price of an application is that for the paper work to get done sooner by their staff ?

We filed the waiver Aug 28, 2014...requested an expedite in mid Oct. Expedite was approved Oct 20th. His waiver was approved Dec 17th. The holiday kind of interfered so he didn't enter til January 17th, 2015. I'm reading now that it's taking18 months...
We used a lawyer. His only offense was a tourist visa overstay. No other crimes. He had a 10 year ban.
18 months just to get approved ??

My waiver package was about 3 inches thick...done By an attorney...it's way more than just filling out forms...and I had at least 3 serious issues...And many secondary issues.
My suggestion is to get a lawyer who's experienced in waivers...the last thing you want is a delay because your package isn't complete
Around how long does it take for the waiver to get approved and for the person to get the visa ?

For a i601 waiver do you need to prove hardship on the letter that they ask you to write or you just have to show prove why your fiancé shouldn't be inadmissible.

A question for you how much did it cost 12 years ago ?

My immigrant visa interview was on the 20th of July and I was approved, they told me I will receive a message within 10 business days to collect my passport at DHL office.i haven't received any messages since then and am so worried,my status on the immigration website says ISSUED since 21st of July. pls do I need to Go to the DHL office without the receiving the pick up message ? Have anyone be in such situation before?
I don't think you have anything to worry about since it says issued , give it more time or contact the embassy via email .
-
What's the reason he wants to do that ?
-
They could make it th issue if the woman is the one who is a lot older than the men specially because in Islamic countries it's not usual for a young man to want to marry an older women unless it's for some kind of benefit as a green card or so . I'm not saying it might be the case
-
Something similar happen to me too but later on they sent me a request of evidence and then I was able to gather everything I needed and sent it again , you can also call them and explain them your situation and they can guide you exactly about what you can do .
-
You can check your visa status on this website https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx just type in your case number . When I did my k1 visa and I had any concerns I contacted the embassy through email and they were pretty fast and nice replying to me . I believe she ha 3 months to enter the USA once her visa has been issued but it's always good to consult with the embassy . Good luck with everything !

Yes we got that paper
...ok thank you!
The whole process should only take 6 months or less . Best of luck !

If they granted you the visa with the k1 process then what you did might not had been that big of an issue , if you are already here And haven't gotten in any trouble in the USA then I don't see why your previous issue should be any problem with adjusting your status .

So we found out that our lawyer made a mistake in how much my wife makes a year he wrote the 2014 income instead of 2016. she didn't make that much in 2014 but she made enough in 2016 and the NVC sent us that we need to bring the AOS documents to the embassy in the interview.
Can my wife make another AOS and ask her mom and dad to support me as well? will it be a problem that the lawyer wrote the wrong amount?
P.S. our case has left the NVC and now it's in the embassy and my interview is in Aug (next month).
I hope you guys are able to fix the paper work before the interview . Worst case cenerio you will just have to take the correct paper work the day if the interview or contact the embassy if here is a way you could drop off the right paper work of your finances income before the interview . As I said before it shouldn't be a big deal once you clear things with them . Only problems are when the benificary has some kind of criminal record or if the embassy doesn't belive it's a real relationship , other than that everything it's good and you will be with your loved one soon ! 😀

Thank you for replying. I appreciate it
.
in 2014 she made less than 18,000 but in 2016 she made more than 20,000 and he wrote the amount of 2014 total income instead of 2016. Although her mom and dad are signing a AOS for me as well do they do i864 or i864a or what?
She added her moms income too ? If she did already I think they will conbine both incomes and it should be enough to sponsor you . What did the lawyer had to say about this he or she should find a solution .
Need help with i601
in Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)
