Health insurance problem
RO_AH replied to AnnaMJ's topic in Moving to the US and Your New Life In America
If the kids are US citizens they can get theirs through healthcare.gov as well as your husband. You can also go through there I believe) after you get a green card, but you would need to do it through marketplace. Of course this is all based on if you qualify. I believe they have a link to submit a request for help applying. Someone will call you. I think you have to make an account and put in an application put in an application first. At least your husband and children could get coverage immediately. -
Just to be absolutely clear, it is exactly 6 months from the first day you check in for your medical at SLEC.

Manila medical and K-1 interview: two notes from my fiancee's experience
RO_AH replied to PeterMcS's topic in Philippines
They have a location for all of that. These forums. Every pitfall you can come across has been posted here. The problem is if you only come here when you have a problem and make a post, you will not know the abundance of the information here. I started frequenting these forums when I first had the thought of pursuing a visa for my wife. I came here every day or 2 during the entire process. -
I do not know how many times I need to say this. Sadly that also includes this forum. Every LCR is different. Find out exactly what you need. Also they should be able to tell you how to get it. If they only want one from the embassy, you will need to go to the embassy. I flew into Manila in the evening. Stayed in a hotel across the street from the embassy, went there and got affidavit in the morning, then went off to my wife's place.

Texas' first Seafood City Supermarket opens in Sugar Land
RO_AH replied to TBoneTX's topic in Philippines
We have a Jolibee's inside of our Seafood City, and Red Ribbon. -
It's less than $350 for for the medical exam. Includes all vaccines and testing. Wondering how? Biden administration, that's how. You are correct, it's not easy doing things correctly.

You are over planning. No one can give you any guarantees. There are so many variables. She could be flagged for sputum testing in her medical which will set you back 60 days. You could get a 221g at the interview. Don't try to put the cart before the horse. Many people here have tried and lost at that game. Either buy a ticket with variable dates (which will probably be the same as what your pay for one 2-4 weeks out once she passes the interview. CFO should most likely be the least of your concerns honestly.

Manila medical and K-1 interview: two notes from my fiancee's experience
RO_AH replied to PeterMcS's topic in Philippines
1. Someone put up the percentage recently, I think 1 in 10, and Sputum is discussed in here probably every 2 weeks or so. My wife got flagged for sputum first medial and later ended up retaking medical and no sputum. 2. Also very common. I would be more surprised if they asked for it. -
Online is gone. Only in person now. You will get your appointment when you get it. Remember this is the Philippines. Most I have seen are getting appointments pretty quickly. You time would be better spent planning her departure and arrival than worrying about how long it will take, It will be done before you know it.

Exactly what you said. Maybe not what you meant. Of course. Anyone with any experience in this area knows. No one was telling him they would. Plain and simple, they follow guidelines set by US. No petitioner is going to change anything by crying about it.

Thank you but it was a rhetorical question

So who sets the policy for healthcare centers that are screening visa applicants?
-
Her visa will be valid for 6 months from the day she went in, in November. So March departure should be fine.

I have needed mine 2 times so far since my divorce. That was getting remarried and her CR1. No need to rush off and get a new one.

Expedite process of Marriage Certificate from PSA.
RO_AH replied to rhaenyrha's topic in Philippines
In answer to your question, and the reason I always tell people that the most important thing that they can do is ask the LCR about their expedite process, is once they have sent it off for normal processing, you can do nothing but wait. PSA needs the original. If it has already been sent, there is nothing that the LCR or you can do you can do. -
CEAC says refused. And I am confused. Manila K1 [merged threads]
RO_AH replied to Cheesehead22's topic in Philippines
I did not read your post. Just know this. Everyone's status shows that right before being issued. Nothing at all to worry about. -
In my wife's case we did not have a baptismal certificate. We did provide school pictures and school records (form 137e and form 137)) from elementary and high school.

Well when people here ask for advice I want to be accurate. I have seen way too many times where people have received a 221g, to lead them to believe that they will not receive one, or not be required to have more proof. I think that your wife is an exception to what is common.

I am trying to figure out what that has to do with late registration. If you come with a PSA BC that is marked with "late registration" you will need supporting documents. I am not here to argue as I have been there done that. Better have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I wish that I knew you when my wife had her interview, maybe I could have had you explain to the CO that it was not needed.

Not true. They will issue a 221G asking for more supplemental documents. That's why it's best to bring them in advance. Here is what my wifes 2221G said:
