  1. Well when people here ask for advice I want to be accurate. I have seen way too many times where people have received a 221g, to lead them to believe that they will not receive one, or not be required to have more proof. I think that your wife is an exception to what is common.
  2. I am trying to figure out what that has to do with late registration. If you come with a PSA BC that is marked with "late registration" you will need supporting documents. I am not here to argue as I have been there done that. Better have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I wish that I knew you when my wife had her interview, maybe I could have had you explain to the CO that it was not needed.
  3. Not true. They will issue a 221G asking for more supplemental documents. That's why it's best to bring them in advance. Here is what my wifes 2221G said:
  4. About my statement? I am positive. Utah is an option if you want the get a CR1. I don't know of anyone that has tried that yet. Doesn't matter it you are Filipino. Get a CENOMAR (in your case it would be a CEMAR) and you will see that you are legally married in PH. In all cases your biggest challenge will be CFO. But like @IWander said she would most likely get it, she would just have to beg, plead, and jump through hoops. You will never get a ROM for your new marriage until you get a recognition of divorce. It is PSA now not NSO
  5. Just get anything you can. School pictures, school records, doctor records, etc. Also the things that you have listed. ring it to the interview.
  6. You were married in the PH so you will be considered legally married there until you get a recognition of divorce from the PH government. This takes lots of money and 1-2 years. You are better off filing for a fiance visa.
  7. Some things are blessings in disguise. Spring would definitely be a better time to have her come. Hard enough having to get used to a new place without adding ice and snow to it. She has probably never experienced anything below 65 degrees.
  8. Exactly correct! I think on my entire time on this forum I can recall maybe 2 that had to get treatment. Don't waste energy even thinking about it until you find out. One more thing that you need to be aware of @RA_PH1 is that the 6 month validity of the visa started the first day of her medical. So this means you will now only have about 4 months after she completes sputum testing to get to America.
  9. It could hurt to get a letter offer from your past employer if possible.
  10. You could also try Air BNB
  11. Immunizations are on the last day.
  12. Trying to do it ahead of time is a waste of time. When it comes tom the medical, you pay one fee and SLEC does everything. You must go through them to get approval. Previous records do nothing except immunization records.

    CFO Questions

Don't over think it. I would put son. Don't make this harder than it has to be.

    CFO Questions

#4 does not apply to you. Where do you see anything about a green card? Are you immigrating to New Zealand or Australia? So it does not apply to you. 1 valid ID. I am assuming you have a passport that is valid or else you can't travel. They no longer do online.
  15. Having a visa and CFO sticker pretty much tells them that you have submitted all of the documents to get that far. The only other thing that she needs to bring is he confidence. If she seems unsure she will draw attention and scrutiny.
  16. I just looked it up. It's 120 days.
  17. This would have been good to know. I was trying to get you to understand that the license takes 2 weeks to get which if you were getting married on the same trip would need to be 3 weeks (to be safe). Since you said you don't plan to get married your first trip, (thank god) in might be a good idea to apply for a marriage license while you are there and it would take 2 weeks to get. You don't be there when she gets it and you have to use it. But then again if you decide to go CR1 route (which is a much better option IMO) and if you go back and use it it would mean that you could do it in a 1 week trip.
  18. Just show both passports when leaving and he is fine. I brought my 2 sons the same way.
  19. Just to be clear they only have in person now. My wife was lucky enough to be able to do hers remote, if you call being stuck in covid hell and adding an extra year to our journey lucky lol. We were CR1 and married 4 years by then and had 2 children together. Her CFO which I was able to listen in on Skype was only a formality and small talk. I think we had the certificate within 4 hours of the phone call.
  20. The whole immigration process is long and very frustrating. If you don't know this going in, you did not do enough research. If you did your research, you know/knew what you were facing. Just stay positive, like I said I don't know of anyone who has been rejected. It took 3 years to get my wife and 2 sons here due to covid. Was it frustrating? Of course, but I learned long ago to not get bent out of shape over things I could not control. Just focus on having everything you may need, and MOST of all keep a positive attitude for your own sanity and most importantly to be that rock that your fiance needs right now. Never let them see you sweat!
  21. I don't know if I will get flack for this, but Filipinos love to worry and will go out of their way to find reasons to worry. Just a heads up
  22. Really? I built a house there, did not need to apply, file, pay for a building permit. I didn't even need blueprints from an architect. I hired people to build it, told them what I wanted, done. Try that in our free country. My wife had a store that her mom still operates there. If she wants to sell something, she buys it then sells it. Cigarettes, alcohol, beer, food, as long as it's not anything illegal. Try that in our free country. I could go on but you get the point.
  23. Out of every post you have seen here or anywhere in the internet, find me one where a person was denied exit. If your things are in order and your fiance has a strong confident attitude it will be a breeze. Make sure your fiance has all dates regarding your relationship committed to memory. I made a cheat sheet for my wife to study. When we first met, how we met, when we first met in person, each visit I made there, etc. Doing that helps her to have confidence. If you give her or allow her to have as much negativity about the process as you just posted above, it will hurt her not help her.
