  1. I don't know what's wrong with AI answers and long as you are searching on your own. You can control what you get and you can follow up and ask for more info or clarification. With that said, what @top_secret said is correct just like the link I posted from Grok.
  2. If she is diagnosed as having TB, no. She will need to have treatment first. If it is negative, your date should be fiine.
  3. She learned from where? Did she go to the appointment? So a Filipina cannot change her name if she is married ti a Filipino (since no CFO is required)? This is a bunch of poo if you ask me. Be careful of where your online research leads you. Nope. My wife had no issues changing her passport, we did it right after we received the PSA marriage certificate. She can't get in until she has visa. CFO is a 1 time thing.
  4. It all takes as long as it takes. You should accept that to avoid unnecessary stress. I did mine and then Covid hit. The Embassy was shut down and foreigners were not allowed to enter the Philippines. Mine took very long because of this. Unless something has changed, for a CR1 an appointment is sent to you. You make appointments for K1. My advice is while you wait, build your case of a bonafide relationship that she can bring that info to the interview. They are scrutinizing visa's more carefully now. Hopefully you can go visit again while waiting. Patience is the key. Like I said it will happen when it happens and getting angry, impatient, and upset does not change that, it only makes the process worse. On the bright side, if she arrives 2 years from the date that you married, it will be converted to an IR1 which gives her an automatic 10 year green card.
  5. Yes. They know they will not get the original.
  6. Stop being paranoid, this process is not as scary as it seems. Think of the 221g as just asking for clarification on something. Provide what they ask and go forward. All immigration processes are becoming a little harder now and they want every I dotted and every T crossed as the saying goes. Just be patient and provide what they ask and you will be fine.
  7. Try using a different web browser. Clear your cache. Try incognito mode.
  8. Every LCR may have differences. First step is to go there and find out.
  9. Prehistoric thread
  10. I have no desire to debate with you because all you spout is nonsense. I already said this is not about you. It is also absurd to bring up how many Americans marry Filipinos as a percentage like it matters. What in the world does that even have to do with the immigration process? The Philippines asks for CENOMAR , you provide it because (like I said above )even if the chance is small there is a possibility that you were married. Should we abolish security checks at the airport because 100s of millions of people fly with not intent to blow up a plane?
  11. Maybe you should check the immigration logs on this site to better understand just how many Americans marry Filipino's. It's very clear that you have little to no understanding of the Philippines and/or their culture. You seem to base all of your conclusions on just you and your case. Exactly!
  12. This is correct, you must have the visa to book CFO appointment. You cannot leave the Philippines without completing it it.
  13. It's not the most likely they are doing it for. There are a lot of Americans that get married in the Philippines. If you pulled a CENOMAR on me you would get a CEMAR saying that I am married. Unless I get divorced or annulled and have it legally recognized in the Philippines (very long and expensive process), or am widowed, I cannot get a visa for another Filipina. Believe me there are people that try and that is the reason for the requirement.
  14. It has nothing to do with your marriage. CEMAR/CENOMAR shows if you are or have ever been married in the Philippines. Unlike America where the federal government has no records on all marriages (only state level) The PSA keeps record of all marriages.
  15. That part I understand. I thought he sent it to the Philippines through USPS. I would never ever use USPS to send anything to the Philippines for any reason.
  16. But did you use USPS to send it to the Philippines? That's more what I was asking.
  17. You sent it through the post office????😲
  18. Not required but they can ask for anything they want to at the CFO. Smart move to get it. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
  19. You did not mention CFO. Start planning for this as soon as possible.
  20. Both my sons are dual citizens and have no such certificate. Not all cases require you to re-acquire your citizenship. My sons were born in PH and I filed a CRBA to become US citizens. No oath required.

No, just show both passports when leaving.
  22. If he has US passport he is all set. They do not give US passports to non citizens. If you are waiting on paperwork, it's just to keep. Example: my 2 boys were born in Philippines. I filed a CRBA for both so they have US citizenship and passports. When we travel I do not need to bring their CRBA certificates, just their passports.
  23. I think you are way over thinking this and your questions are overlapping. Have your wife re-acquire her citizen and that pretty solves everything. The children you have together will get theirs when she goes through the process I don't think being a late registration will be much of a problem, you may just need to jump through some hoops. The consulate will advise you. When she became a US citizen your stepson should have acquired his US citizenship. This would make everyone dual citizens except you. Yes you would all get BB visa's. You will should also get both passports for each person.
  24. They can be crazy in their requests at times, but I have not heard of this one. Why would you need a copy of an application for a visa that you already have? Yes be sure on this. "they said" is taken as fact by most Filipinos.
  25. I'm not sure why you need it. I did spouse so forgive my ignorance.
