    Noa2 expires after 4 months.

which during you need to schedule the interview.

k1 visa before entering us has a 6 months to expire (more like 6 months from medical exam)

And after you enter US k1 expires in 90 days, which you need to marry in and file AOS.

Overall she misinterpret the thing they told her.

None of us will be impacted yet. The USCIS will continue to work cause they are fee funded and not government funded. The NVC might have some delay though, but that only affects people who already received their NOA-2.
Look around on the forum. There's many threads about the shutdown.

    Hellloooooooo Everyone

June and July had a big update of case statuses yesterday.
    They updated backdated approvals too.

This is the details of work done in January (only updated cases)

                     June        July     Total Jan W1 231 4 235 Jan W2 311 22 333 Jan W3 551 323 874 Total 1093 349 1442
I'm sure you can see how different it looks when they actually update things online!
We still have lots of cases (dates) that are not updated in the first part of June.
But here are the latest view into every month!

                   June         July           Aug           Sept            Oct          Nov        Dec     Total Approved 1317 263 13 6   1   1600 Received 1358 2941 3519 3176 3770 3304 3297 21365 Touched 996 206 139 129 128 67 27 1692 Excluded 370 386 404 287 244 205 185 2081 Total 4041 3796 4075 3598 4142 3577 3509 26738

The latest date they touched at the moment is July 14.

DISCLAIMER: Here on are my personal educated opinion.

Now my thoughts on this from watching how it flowed in the past is that hopefully they are going to change processing times to July 1 as of November 31. in order to let the June filers be able to officially start inquiries (I am really hoping of this even though I know it is not correct)

July is definitely going stronger than how April, May and June did. by having this much ahead with this many approvals in only 1 week didn't happen for a long time.
Please continue watching around carefully. For those in the September, please still do not put money on anything and watch for when and how August will start.
For everyone else, If I were you, before making firm plans I would watch for how things are going on 3 months ahead of you.

Even though there is improvement (looks like it) the improvement is not from a perfect place, this improvement still makes lots of July filers get to 200 days. And June filers are already 200+ days. NVC right now is taking about 40 days (although not for everyone). So when you are planning ahead keep all these in mind and calculate as if K1 will finish in 10-12 months.

Basically calculate the worst but hope for the best!! Because your positivity will keep you and your relationship healthy and happy!! But being realistic will save your sanity!

I'll be here with any other update if I get anything else during the weekends!

Good luck to all of us!

That's another thing that confuses everyone. Your application was sent to Dallas lock box (not the center) and went to California directly.

Texas doesn't do k1 visas anymore other than some rare cases that get transferred from California. All k1 goes to cali and some background checks (criminal background etc.) causes them to be transferred to Vermont or other places.

I'll be ok there are some days... it's just they don't update! I just need the updates so I can say for certain here they are getting better or worse....

I am hoping for that though july is the perfect month to catch up because they have less amount than any other month.

and I also don't believe they will let 7 months become their new average. I'm sure they will make it go down again soon....
    Uscis website news.

its not k1 it's l visas. It will relieve them but not move us.

I think what ppl are confused about is what the word NOA1 means. NOA1 is the ACTUAL hard copy form mailed to you called 797C Notice of Application to provide you with a receipt for your K1 visa application. On it states your Receipt Number which can be used to track the process of your application on the USCIS Online Tracker. Your receipt number is not your NOA1. The actual piece of paper with your receipt number on it IS.

IF you filled out form G1145 E-Notice of Application and attached it to your application, you would have received an email or text stating your Receipt Number. Your NOA1 is then mailed to you shortly afterwards and if you have not received it in the mail within 45 days from the email/text, you should call USCIS with the Receipt number they gave you in the email/text.

I guess what I am saying is we use the word NOA1 too loosely.
NOA1 is the actual paper receipt with your receipt number on it. The receipt number itself IS NOT the NOA1.
You could have received your Receipt Number via email/text (which IS basically all you need to do any tracking of your application) BUT still not have your NOA1.

I am still in the dark of the importance of the NOA1 document however like I’ve stated in many of my posts, I use it as evidence when travelling to the US to visit. It proves that we are applying for me to emigrate to the US legally therefore the Border Patrol Officer will feel confident that although I am in a relationship with a US citizen, I’m not planning to stay/ get married during my visit.

    Not really.

you get the text / email first and your number is written on it. Which says if you don't get your noa1 hard copy in 45 days, contact us. In that case you would have the number but no noa1 yet, which seems like the situation.

    .
Old post re-edit to keep the info flow:
    ---
So that was your notice of action 1(NOA1) as @nykolos explained.

you were also suppose to get a hard copy (printed version mailed to your address). If you have this paper, that's the NOA1 hard copy to save. If you didn't receive the hard copy, contact USCIS. If you have it no problem.

right now the wait is a little long, and they are processing june/early July cases currently.

Ask whatever you need  and don't worry you have loooots of people here to explain

K1visaHopeful reacted to Naes in November 2017 Filers K1 VISA I-129F (merged)
So he has the paper NOA1?

    Edit for clarification:
He said he has the noa1 receipt number but waiting for the noa1. From what I understand that would mean they still didn't send the paper one. And in the status it tells you to call them if you don't have the hard copy.

am am I missing something or maybe the OP meant "waiting for noa2"

You receive your NVC case number after your I129 is approved in the US. Once you receive your NVC number, you can do the medical exam and schedule your interview.

Yes, literally. Lying could only make it worse. What I posted was the exact conversation between me and the BP officer. Bring a copy of the things I have mentioned. (Don’t just say you “can”. Prepare the documents and carry them with you each time because you never know!)

Also, don’t  you think it is more likely you will be allowed to enter if you can prove you are trying to immigrate (EVENTUALLY) legally? (ie you will have a copy of your NOA1, right? just in case they ask to see).

Frequency doesn’t really matter AS LONG as you haven’t overstayed. 183 days out of the previous 365 is allowed on a B1/B2. I stayed for 175 days (in a row!) in 2016 and left and stayed out of the US until the one year anniversary of my initial entry passed.
That is most definitely on my file when they pull up my I94 and I still haven’t caused anyone to flinch when I enter (knock on wood now, lol).

I guess my emphasis is do everything legally and have ALL of the necessary docs to tie you to home. Let them know this immigration stuff is serious to you and follow through!
The word fiancé is not the “f” word. They can only stop you from entering if they have an inclining that you won’t leave. Answer their questions politely and truthfully and show them the evidence that you won’t stay if necessary and you will be fine.

    Welcome!
There are lots of recent posts containing advice on travelling to the US and elsewhere while waiting for your NOA2 (too many to quote even, lol as I just tried to share them in this post but there were too many).
This is page 24 of the thread but if you just scroll back to page 20, 21, 22 and 23 you will find answers to your questions through examples of what we travelled with/what happened at BP. Those are all recent trips too.
It’s quite easy and if your prepared, reassuring.
    Good luck!

At the same time you apply for AOS after marriage you would apply for an EAD and AP (advanced parole). Both seem to take 90 days/3 months from application to receiving so I wouldn't expect to be able to travel before the end of summer. And as stated above, I would not expect that we would even have our K1's finalized by the end of summer with the way processing is going now, never mind being able to be married.
That could be a good thing though as you could still meet up with your Fi overseas for the reunion BEFORE he has arrived in the US.

That’s what I thought. Just wanted to clarify for those that think the full process still only takes 6 months.
I would have done the CR1 route had I not read approval rates of 6 months too.

I’m on my way stateside Thursday morning (I’m the Canadian alien👽). First trip over since engaged and since our application went in.
I’ve got my NOA1 receipt, a letter from my employer stating how long I’ve worked at my current job, my dates of leave, and that I will be scheduled to work upon my return, paystubs, a current statement from my provincial medical, a bank statement, my itinerary (return ticket), my apartment lease and my tax returns from last year.
I’ll let you all know how it goes.
    Pray for me!

I may be mistaken but I think you all may be assuming that the google drive Excel sheet has some precedence over the actual USCIS information as you would retrieve it from the app(s) yourself. The info is only transferred from the USCIS public info so if you can see your info there (from an app or USCIS Online but not on the spreadsheet), I’m sure you’re good.
    Am I correct?

    Hello everyone!

My partner Courtney and I got engaged on August 8, 2017, and we filed our I-129F paperwork to the Dallas dropbox on November 15, 2017 by USPS Priority Mail, and a few days later got notified that our application was received on November 20, 2017, and that it was sent to the California Service Center. Now we wait!

I'm from the UK, and I'm returning there on January 4, 2018. I'm in the US on the Visa Waiver Program at the moment, but considering how much time I've spent here as a tourist over the past year visiting my fiancée, I don't think I'm going to be allowed to come back for a while... so hoping for a speedy processing time, like everyone else is!

Today I added up all the estimated/historical processing times for the various stages (http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php?history=90) and turns out I should be getting called to my visa interview in London around July 2018, but of course I know it could be sooner or later than that.

I saw some posts earlier on about what people are doing to keep their minds occupied while this long process goes through. Personally, I'm finishing a graduate degree in England (I have to go back to for that anyway, so it wouldn't matter all that much if I could stay in the US!) and I'm going to be spending as much of my time packing up, getting organised, selling what I can, and working hard to save money. I'm not as worried about the time apart as my fiancée is; I miss her terribly when I am not with her, but usually I can cope... but she hates it and can't really cope. Sometimes I wish we were back in the old days (hundreds of years ago) when there wouldn't be all this paperwork, but then again hundreds of years ago we wouldn't be allowed to get married so I suppose we have modernity to thank for that

Best of luck everyone. Keep those heads high!

    Milly

We have a script for it. No we don't see a case history, just the case status. If you download the app case tracker for example and search any case number you can see up to 500 cases in each search with only their dates and status. This is basically the same thing we are doing but we do in bulk.
