We received the EAD combo card this past Friday after requesting a second expedite on the evening of 4/3/17. The first one was closed out because biometrics had not been completed. The response for the course expedite in the mail we got was simply a copy of the biometrics appointment letter. Call the day after your biometrics is completed to request expedite again. You can see if the office does walkins to get them completed even sooner.

If you don't mind me asking, what reasons did you tell them for why you needed an expedite?

I want to request expidite because my husbands lease is due to end and I'm afraid that I may not be working before we move in together and have financial issues because he'll have to pay all the rent with just his income, but as he is my financial sponsor (no co sponsor in my application) that they will say he isn't financially able to support me and deny my application :(

I remember you saying that 2 weeks ago. I tried to see if you had received yours and I couldn't find it. :/ I hope everything goes well and you receive it very soon! Happy easter. :)

haha oh yes of course I've already told you our timelines are the same! there is so much that goes on in this forum its hard to keep up with everyones journey. It's nice to know there is a whole community of people going through the same thing though, and that everyone is there for each other. :)

yeah I didn't get my NOAs til Tuesday.... so I wasn't expecting my biometrics letter this week, just keeping my fingers crossed that it arrives next week :)

If you've had a chicken pox history then you don't need a vaccination for it

For my K1 medical I had to provide blood test evidence of immunity to chicken pox, otherwise I would have to get the vaccine. It seems here the civil surgeons just take your word for it.

Thanks @Donnell & @SparklePony for the info, I had them when I was really young, my mum used to keep a medical journal of all the vaccinations and illnesses (anything that was notable - not just a cough and cold) so i'm gona get her to scan that and send it to me.

Wife just got 3 letters in mail for AOS, EAD, AP. All have notice date of April 4; received date March 27.

Congrats to everyone with new NOAs and anyone else with progress :)

congrats! our e-notifcation was dated the 4th April, and received the 27th March.... fingers crossed ours will arrive soon.

Mine was $430 for everything excluding chicken pox vaccination which I didn't have to do. I'll suggest you shop around as their fees vary but make sure they are an approved USCIS Civil Surgeon (list on USCIS website). You can search for some in your area on the website. Recently, USCIS now requires the medical exam to include gonorrhoea test, make sure your civil surgeon is aware of this. Overall, it's best to send the I-693 with your I-485 package so everything is processed together. Hope that helps

Thanks for the info! I've looked at the USCIS website list, but haven't contacted anywhere yet. I've already sent off my I-485 and

purposely didn't send off the I-693  with it because I know they can expire and didn't want to have to pay for it twice. I've read a lot of people just wait until they are asked for it to submit it/submit at interview so I just decided to do that.

Quick question about bout the chicken pox vaccination, if you've had chicken pox, generally you don't get it again, do you still need a vaccination if you've had chicken pox?

Yes it's true. It's a lil town and not much to see or do, worst I can't drive yet. But I take care of the house read workout trying to get busy. Housewife life 😂

I'm exactly the same, I can't drive yet, and there isn't much in walking distance from where we live. So yeah working out, I do go walking (not to anywhere, just to get out of the apartment) and bake and watch tv. Although my husband bought me a hamster :P he keeps me happy.

Oh, and scrapbooking, I do a lot of crafts :P

You're totally fine! I am a military dependent and my medical exam is being done by a military physician who is authorized to fill out I-693 (when we talked to hospital employees about the form, they knew exactly what we were talking about and set up my appointment with a doctor who's authorized to fill it out) on a military medical facility, and so far I'm not being charged with any medical bill. But when I called some of the doctors on the list on the USCIS website off the base, they told me it'd cost me over $500 to do all the testing and vaccination necessary.

I'm sorry I couldn't give you any useful information...

thank you, i appreciate the information you have given me! :)

I'll see if I could hold on to it, I already finished a required vaccination shot and got a record of it, and all the necessary blood tests and chest X-ray are also done, as well.

All we need to do is to fill out the form, sign on it and seal it. I just don't want to create any confusion between us and the doctor...

You're right, we never know how long the process will take...especially with the backlog. Thank you for your advice! Good luck to you, too!

I know this may be a personal question, and feel free not to answer if you don't want to, but how much has your medical bills for all the tests etc you've had done come to?

@emchappie according to the letter I got from them, they stated that they will send me a letter with instructions on when to mail it if there will be an interview waiver and if there will be an interview scheduled, I will take it along to the interview. in conclusion they warned never to mail or send it in before instructed. hope this helps. cheers!!! good luck.

That does help alot! Thank you so much. I'm just reading up on the form, so I have everything just ready to go. :)

  10. For those of you who haven't submitted I-693 with your AOS package, do we get a notice from the USCIS when they want it, or are we responsible for organising it so we can take it to our interview? And if we choose to deliver it at the interview, do we get given a date for the interview, and is there enough time between when we are told about the interview, and the actual interview itself to organise the medical exam?

  11. 5 minutes ago, Denis & San said:

I agree. But at this point, I'm preparing to resend the package. I will wait till April 12 and see what they say at that point.  If they can't locate it, I have no other choice. I've already lost a whole month basically.

I'm sorry this happened :( Chin up! try and stay positive.

Could you try ringing them again to tell them about this different A# and see if they can find anything with that?

Just a quick update on my case:

My husband told me that USCIS had cashed the check yesterday morning, which was my 21st day. However, the check cashing process is still pending as of this moment. I've been waiting for the texts/emails since last night, but I think I must wait until they completely withdraw the money from my bank account in order to receive those notices, mustn't I?

My NOA came 2 days after the checks had cleared in my bank account. so dont worry too much! :)

I'm sorry, didn't mean to get you worried but I figured it would be best to let you know that this sort of thing can happen.

It's okay! I mean, I'm glad I know so I'm prepared. But after reading every post I can... doesn't look like there is anyone who gets their I-130 NOA and their I-485 on different days. Or is it normal to receive news about the I-485 of a concurrent filing with I-130 on a different day?

The I-485 that follows my I-130 just says "fingerprint fee was received" where as the I-130, I-131. and I-1765 all say "case was received"

I just hope there is a mistake and when I receive the hard copies of the NOA they are all in there.

When I filed for my AOS packet, we only received 2 texts/emails, for the greencard and AP. Following the sequence of numbers, there was one right after that was an EAD, however, when we got the NOA hardcopies, there was still only two. We called USCIS and they told us that EAD was NOT mine and they had no record of mine. I had to refile. Received the text/email a few days later, and from then on, everything pertaining to the EAD was always a few weeks behind the AP. Luckily I did not have to repeat Biometrics as the service center worked with me to get it only done once.

All this to say t5hat even though the entire packet was submitted together, they can still lose stuff, and just because a case number right before or right after yours is for the same application, it doesn't necessarily mean it's yours. If you already have all the hardcopies you're good but if you don't try giving them a call to see what's going on.

    Okay, now I'm worried :(

I am placing my bet on the one before your 130, and EAD is after your 130 ^_^

Well i've got both saved so when I receive either an email/text or the NOA in the mail, I'll be able to confirm which one is mine.

but the I-130 NOA is a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Now the wait for EAD to be approved so I can get back out there and work. I miss it so bad.

Try checking receipt numbers one after and one before your receipt number. I don't know if everyone is getting sequential receipt numbers.

i just cant work out which i485 is mine (if either) but from what it looks like neither of them have received RFIE (so if either of them are mine I'm a happy bunny) maybe.... I'm both trying to tell myself to stay positive, but I'm one of those people who thinks the worst, that way it can only get better. :P

HAHA i just did exactly that! There is a i485 the number before mine and then I131, I765 and another I485 (so surely my i485 has got to be one of the two) but all have been given a NOA and "case was received" and the i485 say "fingerprint fee was received"

    fingers crossed its good news

I included single notification form and put it in front of everything, so it had to be the first thing they see.

All three receipt numbers are one after another. MSCXXXXXXX303, MSCXXXXXXX304, and MSCXXXXXXX305

Oh okay, we had two e-notifications, he put his information on the one infront of the I130 and then I did one for the I-485.

So far we just have one NOA with a number MSC. But i would of thought they wouldn't have given an NOA to one part of the packet and not the rest, I would of thought they'd just give an RFIE

  19. Just now, vosovski said:

    Congrats!

We just got two texts for I-131 and I-765. Have a feeling that we are getting RFE for I-465 but time will tell.

    Both receipts start with MSC

So far we just have the 1 NOA for the I-130 so just waiting for the NOA for I485. I just assumed that if one gets a NOA then so would the other as they have been submitted together. (thinking about it, that was a really stupid thought)

Did you include a e-notification for your I764 (EAD)?
