I must have overlooked it. This is the web page I'm on:

    https://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm?State=PA

I can't seem to find the region. I see that there's a D-PA, and a R-PA, and that they're both in Washington. I'm not too smart when it comes to this stuff, so I apologize.

    Go to this website: https://www.casey.senate.gov/contact/

At the bottom of the page is a list of offices (including DC). Pick whichever is closest to you and/or the Philly or Pittsburgh ones (I'm guessing they have the largest staffs) and call that number.

On that web page, click on the "region" at the bottom. Use the one nearest you and call that local number.

Exactly. Definitely call one of the regional ones -- they'll have caseworkers that specifically handle immigration issues. This will be much faster/easier for you than waiting for the DC office to filter your request through the system to eventually get it to that specific caseworker.

I believe I contacted my senator enough. I sent him an email and I just got off the phone after having left him a voicemail. I'm thinking of writing a letter and sending that out as well. I just want answers and don't like the way USCIS treats it's customers, especially acting as If I'm stupid saying they aren't processing cases beyond January 1st. We all know here they're processing many cases, from all the way back in December. So, I'm doing what I have to do and at this point it doesn't matter. I'm fighting for my NOA2 now.

If you're thinking of sending a hard-copy letter to your Senator(s) in DC, don't bother. It has to pass through a number of security/screening processes that take upwards of 6 weeks to go through before it even gets to the office. So, by the time they get it, you will have (hopefully) been much further in the process! Stick with calling/emailing. The Senator that I used to work for had all of their constituent services handled out of the local offices, so a short-cut is to the find the phone number of the main office in your state and call that (usually listed on their websites). These offices typically focus only on constituent cases/outreach so they are much friendlier/more responsive than the recent grads/interns who are forced to answer the phones in DC.

approval 7/19, NVC has not received yet.....

Hang in there, hopefully it's on its way, you're still in the normal processing window for the NVC. We had a significant delay of almost 8 weeks from NOA2 to the NVC, but the NVC finally got our case yesterday and assigned us a case # today. However, we seem to be an odd case and most people have gotten their cases to the NVC in 2-3 weeks, so don't worry too much just yet.

I will say that NVC won't do anything about a case not being received until after 6 weeks. At the 6 week mark you can email them and they will contact USCIS to find the case and get it sent over. Just keep calling and every other day or so and hopefully you'll have some good news soon. :)

This is something your congressperson can actually help with, you've got a solid paper trail for them to raise the issue with USCIS. I'd contact them and provide everything.

That note from NVC is pretty damning. I hope your wait ends soon.

On a related note, just for today's informed delivery. Nothing. Day 136.

The two NOA2s issued on 7/25 were day 132 and day 152 for their recipients.

The preceding four NOA2s were issued on 7/20 and were days 115, 115, 132 and 134.

Thanks, yeah we were thinking about going the Congresswoman route soon if nothing happens. Now that NVC has replied, it might be time.

Sorry to hear you're still waiting on your NOA2. Crazy that there is such a wide-range of timing for these cases, hope you'll have some good news soon too!

  6. Well, as we pass 7 weeks of our NOA2 but our petition not arriving at NVC, I woke up to an email from NVC research.....which said that USCIS had not replied to them on why our petition had still not arrived yet. They sent this:

    ----

    Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your previous inquiry regarding the status of your visa petition. We reached out to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to locate your petition, but have not received a reply. We will provide more information as soon as USCIS replies.

    ----

So....the waiting continues as USCIS and NVC cannot even seem to communicate as to why an NOA2 from June 6 still hasn't been submitted to the NVC, but people who received their NOA2 after us have already gone through the whole process and are getting (or have already had) interviews scheduled.

Sorry to vent, just one of those days where you initially thought you were getting good news...and then got the opposite.

  7. Congrats to everyone that have been getting their NOA2s, NVC approvals and the interviews! At last the journey for many of the people on this thread is wrapping up!

Unfortunately, we're still waiting (7 weeks now) for the NVC to receive our case. USCIS won't tell us why they haven't sent our case over despite it being approved (NOA2) on June 7....just keep saying it can take 90 days (NVC says 6 weeks), so at this point we're just hoping that one of these days we're going to get an email from the NVC. I also call the NVC every other day and have followed their instructions to have the "NVC Research Team" do an investigation into why they haven't gotten it yet. But, thus, still in limbo.

It's been a month since we received our NOA2........our case still shows "at NVC." Should we be worried?  I have called them 3 times this week, grrrrrrr.......just more waiting.

Congrats to all who've received their approvals this week!

Yeah, we're almost in the same situation as you. We got our NOA2 on June 6, but the CSC still hasn't sent it over the NVC - 6.5 weeks now. Supposedly NVC is investigating and a USCIS officer said he would note that the case should be moved, but no promises on either front. So, we're still waiting to even have our case get to NVC

I suppose thinking about it - The time ahead should be shorter than the time behind. With 125 days as of today, I can at least hope that with 6 months that they say it will take to adjudicate our file, it will be shorter than the time we have already waited.

Yeah, waiting is tough, just hang in there. It seems like a lot of people have been getting approved the last several days so hopefully yours is coming soon.

We just hit the 6 week mark of our case not being forwarded to the NVC. We received our NOA2 on June 6, but the case still has not arrived at the NVC. USCIS confirmed we were approved, but just hasn't sent it over for some reason...NVC asked us to email them and they will investigate. Hard to say how long that will take. So, even though we have our NOA2, still feel like we're in limbo.

NVC was blazing fast for us as well , my petition will arrive at US consulate in New Delhi tomorrow AND  I will get the letter from nvc as well tomorrow mentioning they sent my case on July 14 to Delhi. And by Friday, my fiancé will receive the packet 3 as well for interview.

So jealous! Hopefully CSC will finally send our case over to NVC this week and we can get moving forward. Best of luck with the next step!

Stubborn German called again, using option 5 instead of option 7 ( @Eric&Olya:D:D:D )....

So the wait was about 1 minute, the very, very nice lady on the phone said we're one of the new electronic cases, they've received our petition on Tuesday, but it's not in the system yet.
So our number should be generated soon! Hooray!
No medical still - but at least they have it! :D:D:D

Yay! Congrats on that. Our lawyer just called USCIS and apparently our petition was approved but had not been sent by CSC to the NVC yet and that it can take up to 90 days for that to happen (even though it says 2-4 weeks on the NOA2 and the NVC said 6 weeks, ugh!). Anyway, he said he would send a request to CSC to send it along and usually that works to get things moving so hopefully we'll have a number soon too!

  12. Hi all, I've been lurking in the March filers since we submitted our application, have appreciated everyone's comments! Was feeling fairly positive through the experience since we got our NOA1 on March 13 and then our NOA2 on June 7...but since then silence. I've called NVC twice this week already and they still haven't received our case... They said it could take up to 6 weeks for the NVC to receive it, but since so many other March filers on VJ have already gotten their NVC notifications...we're getting really nervous...
