Well, increasing the information flow required would increase the workload, which would increase the wait time and potentially the cost. I'm happy to wait in silence while they process the cases, since I understand some of what goes in to the process. Most or all cases are subject to background checks, so it's not so much about if/when they are sent for that, but how long it takes to get the data back. That can vary greatly depending on individual specific factors.

Hey, at the very least, they could be more verbose, right? Let's use your background check example. I wouldn't take much to update the case status online to "Sent for a background check.".  It's the absolute dead silence limbo for months that drives myself and others mad. Most of us who are "patiently" waiting, are more than happy to wait. It's when we add wait and silence together that we get a new molecule called "rage".

We run scrapes on the online status box to see how many petitions they get every day and how quickly and what order things are being processed.

I'm not sure how money has any relationship with just doing what's sensible and working on cases in the order they were received.
 
We've paid them good money to look at our cases, they should do it in a timely and orderly fashion. How they operate is unacceptable IMO.

I definitely think they should go in more of an order. I'm glad we're approved already, but I feel bad for the people still waiting. I know this process was extremely stressful and my fiance was super patient with me. I'm so impatient and she kept me going the whole time. 

It's just a matter of time now before you received a letter from NVC. Where will you do your interview?

Congratulations did they email you on a Saturday? I'm so confused if I'm going to get an email, text or letter in the mail. It's so inconsistent 

Our attorney filed them together. I'm thinking we will be notified by snail mail

Sounds like it depends on the worker who gets assigned to you and how fast they work this is so frustrating 

It doesn't seem fair or right that they are so behind in updating their web page it's the least they can do that they are still updating from December 31st. It's a black hole and frustrating beyond bel when people's lives are at stake! What rights do the "people" have who are trying to come here legally. It is so inconsistent and obviously not all workers are equal in the pace that they work....ugh

Hi Good day.  Thank you for this very informative forum.  We would like to know if petitioner/applicants from this forum encountered this kind of response from USCIS Manila after days of filing the I-130?
 
"Thank you for contacting USCIS Manila. Your I-130 petition is currently lined up for review. Please note our adjudication process takes 30 to 90 days upon receipt. You will be notified in writing as soon as final determination is completed."
 
Our DCF for I-130 was filed and accepted by USCIS Manila last February 3, 2017.
