I think they are referring to this post:
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=31464
The person posted in this forum, but is referring to an I-130 which is a K-3, yet they still have K-1 listed on their forum profile, and their timeline says K-3. I think the person who posted that topic was confused.

I think what they are asking is:
On the forms where you list previous spouses, like the biographical information and such... do you list your prior spouses with their maiden name (the name before you were married) or their married name (which would be the same as yours - if you were a guy)?
I don't know the answer on this one... never been married before, myself.

Congratulations!

There have been a couple of postings about this. Really it doesn't mean anything. What they did is moved the date to six months back from the current date. It was updated on September 8th, so they put it at March 8th to make that six month processing time thing.
At least that's what people have been saying on the other two or three posts about this

Congratulations! That's awesome.
Really hope everything else moves faster and of course real nice to see some of those who have waited a while finally getting approvals.

Wow, congratulations! So many approvals today!
I've almost run out of things to say. Heh.
Good luck with the rest of things!
-
Congratulations on your approval, and I hope things go well for you. Hopefully the approval can be something you can both be excited about and ease some of the stress.
Good luck.

Isn't it a great feeling to finally get it all sent out? There's that nervousness about everything and how it'll go, but it's a lot better than the rush to get things together.
Good luck to you and best wishes for a quick processing time.
-
That's great! It's awesome news to hear you guys finally got approved. You deserved it 100%
-
Congratulations!
Yay for even more people with older NOA1 dates finally getting approved.
It really lifts the spirits to see.
Good luck!

Welcome to VJ,
Keep the faith. We're all going through the same process and that same nervous feeling. If nothing else you can take solace in the fact you aren't alone. We're here for support and well wishes. Good luck to you and best wishes for things to go quickly for you.
-
Congratulations! I think I saw this post yesterday and missed adding my well wishes. In any case, great to see things going well and hope things continue to move quick for you.
Good luck!

Congratulations, and hope things move faster for you now that you're out of CSC-hell!
-
Yay! Glad to see you and so many of the other March-ers get approved. Congrats and good luck with the rest of the process!
-
Congratulations! Such great news! That's quite a few of the older petitions.
Good luck with the rest of everything!

Well, I'm not an expert here by any means, but all the extra code to add the things like the colors and such adds extra text. So, where if you were to write just 'blah' it would be 4 characters, but 'blah' is 23 characters.

Congratulations!
It's great to see some of those who have been waiting a long time finally getting approvals.
It gives me warm fuzzies. Good luck!

You can probably find more information on your move to America over in:

But there was a topic recently about excess baggage and shipping things. You can check that out at:

I think it's the perception that at least our application is being worked on. We like to know that something is happening, even if it's this big gray thing called a 'touch' that could mean everything or absolutely nothing. -.-; I'll be watching for those myself as soon as I get my NOA1.
-
Thank you for all the warm welcomes.
It's good to know others are in the same wait.
It' also nice to see who my filing buddies are.
-
Just to post a little update here as well. Harry and I finally sent out our I-129F and are now in the waiting game. We're expecting it to transfer (as they have been) from NSC to CSC. Oh well, cross our fingers and hope things go through easily.
Hope everyone else is doing well on their journey.

Really, it seems to depend on what country you are from. For example: There are a number of countries who participate in what is called the Visa Waver Program (VWP). Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure Mexico (the country listed on your profile) doesn't participate. The Visa Waver Program allows nationals from certain foreign countries to enter the U.S. without a visitor's visa and stay less than 90 days. I've heard from a couple of people on these forums, including myself, who have used this process for visits during the time of the K-1. Usually, they only ask the purpose of the current visit and how long you're staying.
Alternately, and probably safer though, is to go visit them in their country.
Good luck.

A big thank you to all the people on this forum who havve been so helpful in the past few weeks when I was getting together this packet. I sent it out in the mail this evening, although probably won't actually get into circulation until tomorrow. I'm glad to at least have it sent off. Currently, it's off to Nebraska, although it will inevitably get forwarded to California. Yay for the middle man.
So, now I join the waiting game with the rest of you.
Best wishes for us all, and fingers crossed that everything goes well.
Thank you again for all the help,
- Barbara and Harry
When does gov. need to see financial records????
in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
Posted
You don't need to show proof of your income until the actual interview process begins (ie. after the NOA2). It is required for the embassy. BUT you will have to show at that time that you meet the requirements. Others have suggested that if you don't have six months of history above that poverty requirement, that you should look into a co-sponsor.
