I'd be curious to know if the people getting RFEs for original birth certificates are from certain countries also. I also wonder if it could be a 'name hit' issue. Where the fiancee's name strikes something in their database, and they ask for the birth certificate to either confirm the identity of the beneficiary or proove that the name-hit is someone else.
Of course, that's just my thoughts which have no basis in fact whatsoever.

I checked, knowing full well it was a Holiday.

I had considered, at one point moving to the Netherlands to be with my fiancee', but it simply isn't feasible. He's still getting his education and I wouldn't be able to find a job due to not speaking the language. Maybe in a touristy area or something, but I'm a programmer, so... it'd be really difficult. Here, I can continue with a job I have, stay in a house that has relatively low rent, and he can get through college and start getting a job here. And the job market, as cruddy as it is, is better here than there from what I've been told.

I don't really know what to say but...
Good luck to the both of you, and I hope things work out either way.
You will be missed surely.
Thank you for everything you've done for VJ.

*joins the group of folks who are a little tired of seeing this same argument (about Andy and him needing to 'chill') go on multiple times across different threads*
Personally, I'm glad you've found someone to help you with your case that does more than pass on the same wait messages from USCIS. I really wish you the best of luck in getting things sorted out.

I had no problem whatsoever. This filled in fine on all my forms. I used Adoble Acrobat full version 7.0 on both my home and work computer. Windows XP Media Center and Windows 2000, both using Firefox as the download browser.

Congrats. It's nice to finally see some approvals getting out after a day of drought.

Personally, I think it really is a decision the two of you should make, regardless of what other people think. You're both old enough to make your own decisions. It is never fun to have a parent, friend, relative, whatever telling you that you should or shouldn't start a family. In my own experience, my ex-boyfriend's mother heavily pushed for three years for me and my ex to get married and have kids. We never did, because we really weren't suited for one another, and he didn't want kids. My fiancee' and I have agreed that we want to have at least one child, but not yet. He's still young, and we've still got a while before we are 'firm' financially, so that's the choice we made.
I wish you the best of luck and a *cough* enjoyable time. Hopefully you'll have good news to report soon enough.

Yep, I noticed that too.
But it seems like there were no approvals yesterday?
After lots on the 2nd and a decent amount on the 3rd, I'm hoping that people just haven't checked their emails or something when it comes to the 4th. Either that or the service centers took a day off.

Since it won't let me edit, I'll clarify what I mean...
Right now, the estimate for Texas is 99 days. The estimate for California is 114 days. The estimate for Nebraska is 109 days. At the current time, all of the applications for these three are processed in California, so I think some of this difference is historical (people approved back before the big transfer all to Cali).
And this gets a little more screwy because some people (like me) switch theirs to California when their apps are transfered, while others don't and leave their original service center. If I left mine at Nebraska, I'd have a 5 days less estimate.
The numbers eat my brain.

Yeah, I noticed that, too, although it seems to be every two or so that lowers mine. It started at mid-February and is now down to mid-January. While those dates may not be anywhere close to right, it's still nice to see them go down for some reason.
My only confusion tends to come with the fact that Texas and Nebraska forward to California. In my case, I sent to Nebraska and it's now at California. A lot of people seem to still have their original application sites listed. So of course... the timeline gets even more skewed because there really aren't any applications at Texas or Nebraska anymore, they are all California.
I'm babbling aren't I?

I was definitely not looking for a foreign love interest, we just sort of stumbled on each other and were both at a time in our lives when we were open to trying even over that distance.

After you get married in the United States, you file for AOS (Adjustment of Status) here in the U.S. It can take quite a while to process, but you stay here. You would only leave the country if you filed for AP (Advanced Parole) which would allow you to travel while the AOS is being processed and before you get your Green Card.

First, I'll say I don't read every post ever posted here. I only read ones that interest me or I think I might have some insight on. Of those, I do read them completely.
To be honest, it annoys me a little that some people 'skim' and they miss the entire point completely. I've seent his twice in as many days where numerous people are missing big blatent things in people's posts not least of which the actual question the poster is asking, or the fact they made a mistake.

I would wake him up immediately, and I'm sure he'd wake up the rest of his house.

I like Musicals, Sci-fi, and most Animation including foreign import animation...
I don't really like horror or religious films, horror makes me jump and religion makes me want to beat the characters with my popcorn bucket.
APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Address wrong.
