For a sibling visa, very unlikely that will be a reason for denial, because it takes so long, there is no legal path to her staying from a tourist visit. FYI I was able to renew a tourist visa and get new ones for my family while we were waiting for F3. It will depend on her ties to home and not on what you have filed for her.

    Thank you.

I am sill wondering if my sister and mom can come here on a tourist visa while they have the I-130 form pending.

I mean they will never tell them at the embassy we can not give you the visa since you want to be immigrant and live with you family in the USA through the  I-130 form.

How your family immigrate after you renew their F3 visa?

If you file she has the choice in 15 or whatever years (a little sooner if she stays unmarried and your mom can file for her)

if you don’t file, she never has the option

this is how most people do it for the very long categories (married child of citizen, sibling), file and forget, see what happens down the line

in the meanwhile .if she has competed high school or higher she can enter DV lottery each year, unfortunately the latest entry period closed a few weeks ago.

I did the DV lottery for both of them.

I like this idea. Can I file the I-130 for both of them now. And if my mom came in less that 2 years. can she also file for my sister another form to bring her faster if she is not married while the I-130 form is pending.

Any immigration through you is decades away so should not be an issue.

    What do you mean?

There is only one way for your sister to immigrate to the US.  It's by you filing the I-130.

Currently, it takes about 14-15 years for a USC to file for a sibling.

If you don't file the I-130, then the choice is made for her not to immigrate to the US.

If you file the I-130, then she has a choice in 14-15 years to immigrate to the US or not.  If she has kids by then, she might decide to immigrate to the US for them.

Your choice is to file the I-130 or not to file.  That's it.

Is that might effect or change if she want to come earlier with a tourist visa? I mean can she get denied at the counselor for any visa since I filed for her the 1-130 form?

Don't feel bad because you could not petition to bring them here until you were a citizen anyway. Only US citizens are allowed to petition for parents and siblings.

Nothing you can do now but start the process. Immigration is very limited. And nothing is ever fast. It is hard to accept for a lot of people but this is what it is. Think of it this way, at least you have a chance to petition for them now. This option may not be available for everyone in the future.

    I agree.

Do you know which forms I need to get started petition for them? and what I need as a documents?

I don’t understand the question? (Useful, respect, to who and how?)

Unfortunately with US immigration it is what it is, procedures are defined by law and there are quotas on both categories that your sister could fall into which is why the wait for her is so long.  If you want them to come here, it is a long wait, long for your mother and very long for your sister. If you absolutely need to be reunited with them before that then unfortunately the only real option is for you to go back to your home country.

    Perfect.

What should I start to do for them (sister and mom)? I will wait like everyone else
I mean which form should I file for my mom and sister? and what documents I need for filing?
Should I hire a lawyer or it is forms?

I feel bad because I waited till become an American to bring them here.

Yes but she has to remain single for your mom to sponsor her (at least until your mom becomes a citizen) - this is 5-7 years after your mom gets her own green card (so anywhere from 6-9 years from now)

For sibling visa doesn’t make a difference if she is single or married, but it will take at least 15 years.

(at least until your mom becomes a citizen) What do you mean?

Your Mother can only sponsor an unmarried daughter until she naturalises, you can sponsor her and her family but will be looking at 20 years or so.

Is my mom sponsor her is faster than me sponsor her?

What if I sponsor her before my sister getting married?

US immigration is slow, the pandemic will probably be over by the time they can get here.
Parent 1-2 years, sister will be longer, how much longer depends on her age and if she is single or married (in other words  if parent can sponsor her once parent has a green card, or if you will have to do sibling visa).

She is 33 years old and she is engaged.
She is my sister. I am not sure what is the different between parent can sponsor her once parent has a green card, or if you will have to do sibling visa.
Would you please advise? what is the better for my widow mom and my 33 engaged sister?

    Thanks.

If youre a USC you can petition her, will take a year or so, sister, how old is she is she married? Normally looking at Mother sponsoring her when she gets here.

She is 33 years old and she is engaged to be married hopefully soon.
What is the different between my sister being married or single.
Why my mom should sponsor her? is it faster?

    Thanks!

Do not dress casual, they consider the oath seriously.

Your notice, and Green card to be turned in.

You'll walk in the door, show then your Notice, get searched like at the airport, go to a window, turn in your Green Card, they show you your new NC, check for

errors, then sign, you wait until everyone has complete the same. Everyone recites the oath with a USCIS official, they thank you and show you to the door.

    Families wait outside.

I was in and out in 45 minutes. Might be a little different at different offices. I have heard of drive up ceremonies!!

I missed the 5,000 at a time ceremony by 2 days!! Cancelled. Waited 3 months, only to do it in the USCIS office with 29 others.

    Thank you so much.

    When is your oath ceremony?

Go to USPS online, make an appointment for a passport on the afternoon after your oath ceremony. With photo service.

Extra $15, but you know the photo won't be rejected.

Make a black and white copy of your new NC, you will give the USPS your NC, and the black and white copy.

(Make a color copy for yourself)

Make a black and white copy of your drivers license, one page front one page back.

Fill out the passport application online, so it's printed, not done by hand, and there will be an identifying scan code on it.

Get the passport card too, its useful when driving into Canada or Mexico.

Make sure you fill in alternate phone number, and email.

DO NOT fill out anything in the bottom of page 1. The USPS will fill that in during ID check.

You want to avoid having the USPS correct your application, that will slow down the processing down the line.

Pay the extra $60 for expedited.

Pay State department fees with a debit card, USPS will make a money order to send, best way to track the money.

Pay USPS fees with Debit or credit card.

    You are the best.
This is fantastic. I got it.
    Thank you so much.
