  1. It appears I may have included my packet in an invisible binder. I could have sworn I used the regular binder.....eh

    im over 150 days with NOA1 2/23.

    Serious question though:

Does anyone know how long it'll take for your fiance to get the visa once approved? I'm thinking about flying in for the interview (if we ever get there due to USCIS). I heard the odds of you being approved are higher if the petitioner shows up.

I keep refreshing the app like a mad woman lol. It doesn't help that California is an 8 hour time difference for me so each time our status has changed it's been really late at night. If you haven't already i would i call USCIS and just voice your concern that they haven't updated your status to received and that you are worried its got lost in the mail as it was sent over 3 weeks ago. Hopefully that will push them to have a look into it for you.

At least you know they looked at your packet! haha. Hopefully things start looking good for the rest of us stuck in FEB

I sure hope so, were on day 152 now

You and I are still on the same boat. This really sucks. I'm going to call tomorrow for an update. I think it's reasonable to tell them:

    1. My NOA1 was on 2/23. Today is 7/26. Your website says you are caught up to 2/15. Where am I at?

    2. People with NOA1 in March and April have already been approved.

    3. Laugh because it probably wont make a difference.

    4. Hope for a real update.

    sigh.

  4. So it just seems like there are only 3 of us left for Feb filers?

Me, "me and her", and  "missabc". I feel the pain.

When I sent my i-129f packet, I included the i-134 forms and documents to support it. I "heard" this some what speeds up the process, but I guess not. :(

Still waiting.. I don't even use the uscis case tracker anymore.. I depend on my mail more than anything else. meh.

Congrats to all the approvals....I'm sitting here still waiting....my received was Feb 21st....still absolutely nothing on the case......and my grandma who raised me just died on Sunday....he was hoping to meet her before she died.....I knew she wouldn't make it......sadness....it's taken the hope outta my wait.....at least for now.....

    I feel you..my NOA1 was 2/23.

Best of luck!! Fingers crossed for the both of us!

APPROVED! I got the email from USPS that I had a letter from USCIS and i had to go home and check. The file was approved 6/10 and i received the letter today. No email or app update.

I couldn't be more excited! I video called him and we opened it together. Happy tears!

Congrats!!! It's so nice seeing people receive their NOA2's.

Still waiting for mine.. 2/23 was my NOA1 :( Anyone else with the same NOA1?

I know it's tough TriloByte but try and give them another call soon. Keep calling them until they tell you something other than we received your case.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

What's the phone number for the california center? I only have the main line, but I can never reach an actual person. My case was received on 2/23 (NOA1) and it sucks waiting

So approvals dropped off again today. Was working Friday, they did maintenance 2 days later, approvals no longer work. Best I can figure is they realized it was working and did an emergency maintenance to break it so that they can meet their "make them suffer" quota.

Hey TriloByte, howd you obtain this list? It's a great way for me to track my case.. They received my case 2/23, still nothing going on for my case at the california center..

  9. hey folks,

there are probably duplicate threads about this already, but i couldn't find anything about this:

can i still file for k1 if me and my fiance did not do a certificate in laos?

i visited laos for 10 days back in late december. prior to that, i started talking to my fiance as friends. we eventually grew closer, which led to my trip to laos. during my time there, we were engaged traditionally (hmong), but didn't do any papers for a certificate i keep reading about. we have photos to prove we are engaged.

is this certificate mandatory when filing for k1? or are the photos sufficient? all insight from everyone here would be great! it's been depressing without her.
