weakheart reacted to Russ&Caro in Sending money to beneficery , is it good or bad
I didn't send such evidence with my application, and from various threads I've read, the consensus seems to be that it doesn't help.

Honestly...no. One reason, sending money to the beneficiary does not provide proof a real relationship. Second reason, you don't want USCIS or the Embassy to think that your fiancé is using you for money. That could send up a red flag as your fiancé's purpose or intent of marrying you. While it's to say that you shouldn't help your fiancé, but it's definitely not good proof to show that the relationship is real without ulterior motives.

weakheart reacted to pajobra in Financial documents how to do
You do not send financial stuff with the I-129F as that is just the initial application. You fill out a I-134 Affidavit of Support to be given at your fiance's interview. Usually what you need is last years tax returns, a letter from an employer, pay-stubs, bank statements etc. However all consulates are different. Here in Canada they only asked for last years tax transcript but I gave them extra anyway because I figure more is better. LOL

weakheart reacted to Perfect two 💑 in birth certificate petitioner required?
If you already have a copy of your entire passport/Citizenship certificate. You don't need to provide a birth certificate. This can be found on I-129F instruction_page10

I took my conditional GG and EAD with me for an interview but nobody asked me about it and finally I did not gave away. What should I do now? Keep it as a souvenir? -
weakheart reacted to DisneyLovers in N-400 January 2017 Filers
As far as I'm aware the 1-94 became obsolete as soon as you got your permanent GC, it's a souvenir now
Now if like me, you still have your 2yr temporary GC (as I never had a ROC interview to return it at) or any other expired EAD/AP cards, you should return that at the oath ceremony along with the current GC

i never imagined this ####### will take so long. my original plan was to get the citizenship, marry my non-citizen fiance and apply for her green card.
i kept delaying the wedding only for so long and then had to go ahead and marry without the citizenship. now baby is on its way.....and she can't stay with me while she pregnant because she does not have a green card.
I am beyond frustrated with this "system".

I know my case is still "within processing times" for Denver field office. But I went to the senator's office and filled out a release form enabling the senator's office to inquire about the status of my case. Let us see what they will be able to find out. They may get the same "within processing times" answer, but I think it won't hurt to try.

Yesterday I took my Oath of Allegiance- it was very emotional and unforgetable day, but I am done with the proces and my immigration journey is finally over.
Thank you Amazing People on this forum for the great help and encouragement. Thanks to you, this long and difficult proces was made so much easier.
Special thanks to cocann for his extraordinary job and selfless dedication .
Good luck to everyone else from January who is still waiting for interview or oath to be scheduled.
I wish you to get good news soon!

I do want to add my oath was in field office, if yours is in courthouse then security checkup and finding room where oath is can take little time, so add that up to 15 minutes, however at our field office I would say it wasnt even 15 it was like 10 minuets before they started taking us in the building, we were waiting outside,so 15 minutes is more than enough

I received an email and text from USCIS that my Oath Ceremony has been scheduled and they have mailed a letter that indicates the date and time. It came at 6:03 PM last night Checked USCIS on line and it notes this same status. This was exactly 2 weeks from my interview in the Baltimore office. Happy for the progress!
Baltimore has a huge auditorium for same day oath ceremonies, but they don't do same day anymore. Curious as to where the ceremony will be held---Field office, Baltimore courthouse, or Greenbelt, MD courthouse.
