i just called NVC and got our case number.
just a quick question i checked the status online and still at NVC may i know what are the 6 steps? sorry if this has been asked before.
praying for a positive week ahead of us specially to those who are waiting for Noa2.

Awww, I can relate to this IIaz, u are not alone, I have been there before where each day seemed harder. Right now we are waiting for our interview date next month and all the pain we felt during the uncertain days is no more. We cant forget how terrible the waiting was, but we dont feel the pain anymore. Everything shall come to pass and u will be celebrating at the end of this process. You are closer today than when u first began. I am praying for u

First would like to make you aware that this forum is for K-1 visa and notice that you are applying for IR-1/CR-1 visa. There is a separate forum for members that are applying for that kind of visa. As to your question about days until approval, those have been the average number of days for the USCIS to approve the K-1 visa applications prior to being sent to the NVC. Once it has gotten to the NVC, they then assign another case number to the application that will be used by the Embassy handling the visa and also that case number is a way for to track the applications progress to the Embassy. Once it is at the Embassy they then send out a packet to the beneficiary with instructions for paperwork to be completed along with the medical prior to going to the interview and getting approved for the visa. What I have just told you is the process for the K-1 visa. Not sure if it is the same for the type of visa you have applied for. Best advice is that you check with the forum concerning the type of visa you applied for to get advice.

Their is no set timeline. It just depends for NOA2 it's anywhere from 80 to 130 days or so on average. If you check the timeline estimates on here it'll help.

My fiancee went to her interview today in Abu Dhabi UAE and got approved. I was outside waiting for her.

If you case is approaching 60 days past the USCIS processing times you should contact the office of Ombudsman . They are the overseeing agency ensuring USCIS is doing their job.

Although I am a January Filer I thought to pass this information along to your group to see if they can help expedite your case.

December filer here! We got and RFE and we just got approved yesterday (Friday) exactly 14 days after they received and acknowledged our return of evidence

No problem, just hang in there! In terms of the congressional inquiry: you need to contact your local Congressman or Senator (place where you live now). I suggest just giving them a call. And they will tell you what form to fill out on the website. There is basically a form sending your request to their office and an additional privacy form allowing USCIS to release information about your case to the Congressman's staff. USCIS usually responds within 48 hours to their requests so maybe you are gonna get some information this way. 
 
You can also try calling them and then email USCIS but that got us nowhere even though that is an option. 

I definitely understand your frustration. I was severely depressed and nervous that something was completely wrong in our file. We finally got our NOA2 after 134 days of waiting (Received date Dec 1st; no RFEs in between). And seeing people approved from a month or two away from our filing date was incredibly frustrating. Yours is at 116 days right now based on your timeline. I know this wont help and everyone keeps saying it but "be patient" is really the motto here. We did file a congressional inquiry with our Senator, you can try doing that as well. It didn't speed up anything for us but at least we knew that our case wasn't lost and someone was working on it. Good luck and keep waiting. Soon enough it will happen!

Oh my god my heart when I saw these words on the screen of my phone...
I am in France and I woke up in the middle of the night, I wanted to fall asleep again because I work in a few hours so I didn't check the USCIS website.. But I told to myself "I will check before to sleep again, just to see".... AND I SAW THESE WORDS !!!!!
 
I want to thanks VisaJourney for this amazing forum, this amazing help, and to thanks everyone of you, it was so helpful and it made me so hopeful to read this thread, the reports, to see that I was not alone in this "waiting journey"..
And for you who was not approved already.. Stop the bad scenarios, USCIS doesn't process in the right order, that's annoying but we can't change anything to that, so instead of letting anxiety and stress taking the control of your mind, be positive, you will be approved soon

We got the NOA2 87 days after the NOA1 / 93 days after the received date

I know there is a ton of cases still in front of ours I just wish they would go in order even if i meant a longer wait for us. Im just afraid we will end up being one of those cases that gets forgotten about for months.

I know.  I was feeling the same the entire week, but I tried so hard to be positive. Kept myself busy so I wouldn't keep lurking here and be jelly of other people.  I know this is super difficult, but just imagine all the patient Nov and Dec filers who still haven't gotten their cases touched. Hang in there! Maybe next week will be your lucky week! 

This is getting ridiculous. Im happy for everyone who has had their case touched, but I cannot help but be bitter when I see people who filed after us getting their approvals. 

I'm going to take a break from Visa Journey for a bit. The pain of seeing others getting there approvals even though they have waited less time is tearing us apart. 106 days of torture!!!! Good luck everyone.

Yes I'm back I went to babados to see for my birthday. It was amazing.Now I'm back in the states going to school.We are in the process of filing our wavier for unlawful entry  ,which cost $900 dollars. I'm just ready for this too be over with and be with my soulmate❤️ SN the visa is been filed in Jamacia 

There were 0 Nov. cases approved today, along with 4 RFEs and 1 response to an RFE received.

18 days after approval we have our NVC number and ours is on its way to the embassy in Zimbabwe  We had already completed one of the two police clearance forms, and scheduled his medical for May 10th, without our NVC number, trusting we would have it in time.  We planned for him to move from South Africa to Zimbabwe on May 5th, without having our NVC number, trusting it would come.  So he leaves for Zimbabwe on May 5th to complete these last few items on our checklist before he comes home to me in GA.  This was our toast on our one year anniversary in this crazy good love story...and soon very soon, I'll be his wife

Oh, I wouldn't limit it to just Scandinavian women... nor would I limit it just to women (how my wife puts up with me sometimes is beyond me ).

Word.. Right on However if 1 man can manage many wimmens under the same roof. He is the man . I freely admit. I got very little say so in my house. VJ is the last shred of testicular dignity I have left . At least i can step into this arena, and pretend to be a man who has the courage of his convection's.
