Had my interview this morning in Dallas we were in an out in 20 minutes. Only questions about our marriage was where did we meet and when did we get married. Super nice lady it was like a normal conversation. She said it would take approximately 30 days because they are short staffed & just depends on her work load. & probably had to go through supervisor first. Overall I feel it went well! Now to check For a statues update daily. Lol  asked all 485 packet questions as well.

Congratulations to all who got their interview dates, November and December are moving along pretty well right now.

Interview scheduled for July 18th!

You know I was thinking about that.  Like how can I remind myself about ROC.  The IO asked me about my home deed and if my husband's name was on it.  I was thinking about working on that this next year.  IDK
Relax....sounds like a foreign concept lol.  So excited we can go on the reggae cruise now!  My husband said he would only go if he had his greencard because he's worried about re-entry.

I have had nothing but problems with SS. It started with my original application and a misspelling of my name.  I had to go back to a POE deferred inspection site and have a new i94 issued.  I got the card about 9 weeks after applying. 
 
After marriage I tried to change my surname and it was not approved, so I gave up until I had my EAD.  
 
Went back with my EAD and it was sent to DHS for manual verification.  It finally got approved, but took an additional 3 weeks.  I was told it was bc my card has first, middle, last name and my EAD only printed first, middle initial, last name, even though the back of the card had my full middle name.
 
You can check the SAVE case status page to see when it gets sent back to SS, but it still takes them a good 2 weeks to re-do whatever it is they do when they get it back.

About 9 days. The status changed to "your card is being produced" and remained that status for 1 week before it changed to 'your card is mailed'. And the card is received in the mail box 2 days later.

Congratulations!!! I'm so excited for you!  
My husband seriously doesn't understand how much this means to me! I'm so glad everyone here does!
 I showed him this forum yesterday and he was like just like oh that's cool . ?

It's under a year so that should be quick! ?

Got the EAD card today in the mail! YAY!!
 
Had the quickest visit ever to the SSA and got my name change. I'll tackle the DMV tomorrow  

I will be going to DMV Monday! Woot woot! I hope I can simply renew my DL from last yr. I got it with (DACA)  so I won't have to wait for a driving test and stuff. Anybody know?

if it's ready to be scheduled it's ready to be so at your local office... meaning it's been transferred.

Lol, I think it's because most of those who are on this forum already have their EAD so they're probably now busy looking for work or going to interviews or already working.  Btw my status hasn't updated either, my EAD was approved March 9 and it still says card in production, and I already went to my interview and was approved but the status still says Interview Is Scheduled.  Hopefully I get texts/updates this week.

On a more serious note, if I could get the card until Thursday I'd be able to take care of the SSA and DMV this week. But that's only dreaming... as far as I know it could take them another whole week to mail the card.
