Same reason why USCIS lost our I-129F petition after they had approved it?  Same reason why it took 6 weeks and 3 visits to the Social Security Administration until I finally got my Social Security card?  Because sometimes bureaucrats #### up.  That's why we want some measures of protection in place against those inevitable bureaucratic ####-ups, especially when they might get people deported.  USCIS's latest policy changes remove some of those protections (in favor of streamlining the process).

    Ho hum...... same old argument

And how about the people that play games with the system, Remember for every rule or law there is an idiot that caused it to be created

His mother lost his baby vaccination book but he did have them all as a child, but he was not in possession of any of his vaccination records. So when he had the overseas medical exam, they gave them to him again (2nd time in his life) I specifically asked him to get a photocopy of the vaccination report just in case this RFE happened (it was already famous when we were still in visa stage) but the doctor refused, claiming to not be allowed.

Then he moved here, we applied for AOS and got this stupid RFE. The choice was: go get a new medical exam, which would have required yet-another set of vaccinations (the second time in, sorry, 6 months, between overseas medical and RFE) or fight it. We called the embassy doctor to ask to send a copy (to get the vaccinations transcribed) they claimed to not keep copies. I called 4 different civil surgeons none of whom would do titers instead. So we fought it. And we were right, USCIS was wrong, as we knew all along.

    Gotcha, it is good 👍

It not only genuinely blows, but this was NOT UNUSUAL for AOS applicants at the time. Feel free to dig around the archives to see for yourself. People debting if it was better to just get another medical exam here ($500, time off work and another chest x-ray) and submit it or to try to push back, which one was less risky health vs immigration wise (my husband would have had to have all his vaccinations again, third time in his life, second time in 3 months) and general time on the clock wise. We opted to push back through our Congressman because seriously eff those incompetent idiots, their boss is going to see that they can't freaking read (or choose not to, whichever).

2 set of vaccinations in 3 months, why?

did you present his previous inoculation records?

While I understand the reason and intent behind this change, there will undoubtedly be more than zero people who totally get screwed by it, either because of a simple mistake or possibly even through no fault of their own. Like much of US immigration policy, it's unfortunate that a few bad apples can cause added headaches for people legitimately trying their best to comply with the rules. But that's the system we've got. This certainly isn't a malicious change just for the sake of making things more difficult like the article tries to make it appear. But I wouldn't call it "good news", either.

But If you read the instruction and follow them this will not happen, check, double check and triple check before sending, this is the petitioners responsability, not uscis.

Dude, politically I am on your side, steeleballz seems to be one of the more intelligent and polite members on here, you need to relax, differences in opinion are ok, we are adults.

The post he made referencing TOS wasn't a threat, it was a warning about how your responses might appear.

The personal attack was too much

Dude, I have no problem with a difference of opinion but he just does not know when to shut up. I would have let this ago, but he wants to talk about Potus, and our country. If he does not lile it why is he still here, very simple!

Hey, it is all good, but if you want to jave a discussion woth me that is fine, but when you want to bring the tos up, I lose all respect for you. Point blank.

its all good, i really do not care but when people speak bad about our military or my country, I take offense. Being as he brought the tos up means he has no argument

The shift in values and attitudes started way before January 2017 if you had been paying attention.  This whole Trump is a Putin puppet is really a joke, but whatever.

The shift in valies is we as Americans have none.

people do not respect the military that defends their freedoms, they do not respect police officers, hell, they do respect POTUS, they only know what they want and demand that they get it now.

what a disgrace, I am ashamed on some fronts, people demand nowadays, I remember when people asked, the strived to be better, they sacrificed, now, gimme gimme gimme.

Well said.....Thank you for a reasonable analysis.  I have actually seen posts which describe the change as giving USCIS personnel unchecked authorization to deny any case because they just want to.......and  "It sends a message of reduce immigration by any means necessary".......

Odd that some people gripe about the long processing times, but immediately smear Trump when a positive action is ut in place to help remedy the problem....

Like I said the only people that will have a problem with this is the ones that are trying to play the immigration system

The only thing people here understand is Trump continues to win at everything he touches and they just cant find anything of substance to complain about.  Its been almost 2 years of 2 scoops of ice cream and OMG he over feed the goldfish.

The only prediction they ever had that was close to right,  is "one side will not accept the election results  and there will be lots of butt hurt after the election

I love this tidbit by their hero.

Michael Moore predicts Trump-driven economic crash and advises not to invest in stock market

Ugh, the lovely leftists, what a waste.

Trump remarks may be hard and brash in his words, but this is what a leader does. There has never been a leader in history that cowers down to opponents or is soft in negotians. If anyone thing that the soft people  win..... wake up.

You our may not like him, but he is a duly elected sitting President of the United States. You have to respect the office, if not well you are simply a communist traitor and do not belong on United States soil.

Not sure if you are telling me or the OP not to p,at games.. as I am certainly not !

OP asked what they should say IF they do receive the passport and visa.. that is what I have answered..

If  the visa has been issued, as the status update indicates, then sending the joint sponsor paperwork may not resolve the situation without identifying the issue to the consulate,

Hit you by accident, meant for op

If the passport does come with the viss issued in it .. then simply ask

i have received the issued visa number xxxxxxx in relation to petition case number bbbbb

i was issued with 221g at interview and required to provide joint sponsor paperwork. Prior to me submitting  this paperwork, my visa has been issued. Can you please confirm that this is correct or if an error has been made. Please advise .

Do not play games, get a joint sponsor as the embassy stated.

The issue may not come up now but it might come up at the Poe and he/she is refused entry ,or at naturalization.

    take care of it now
