So, it happened just like I ptayed it would. I left on Monday, March 27th to visit my fiance for a week. 😍
The night before I  returned, March 30th, we received a text msg. "Case Updated"🤗
YOUR CASE WAS APPROVED!
Getting the news together was priceless. God is Good!!!

Yeeeeah that's about how the tourist visa went for us as well. On the pink slip they give you near the top, it should have some sort of legal code that you can look up and get a very rough idea for why it was denied. In most cases, they deny the visa if you're unable to establish strong ties to your home country (good job, own a house, high income, kids, etc.) Don't worry about that having an impact on your K1 visa. They're handled totally differently and have completely different requirements. The only way you'd run into trouble is if the info you submitted for the K1 visa totally contradicts the info your submitted for the tourist visa.
 
When we applied for the tourist visa, Gaby was signed up for an English language program at a local university here. We figured that would make them more likely to approve the visa (she had letters from the school and everything), but nope.. They weren't convinced. So today when it was brought up, the interviewer asked if applying for the tourist visa was a way for her to visit me, and Gaby said of course. The interviewer didn't have a problem with this even though I or our relationship was never brought up during the tourist visa process (that's a big red flag for them if your mention a significant other since they'll assume you'll leave and won't come back).

I am in Hong Kong now for a week of trip with my fiance. We was talking about you few hours ago as we remember about the interview schedule of your fiance. I'm wanting to know about the interview of your fiance at Jakarta embassy. My tourist Visa was denied as well, and I was a little bit worried if it will affect my K1 Visa.
 
If you don't mind, May I ask some questions.
Mmm how long did the interview take?.
What was the questions the CO ask about?.
Did she get interview through the window or was it in a private/separate room because last time when I had interview for tourist Visa it was through the window. I wonder if Fiancee Visa interview in Indonesia on separate room or through the window as well?.

Interview results: Approved!!!
 
I can't even express how happy and relieved I am right now. Obviously we still have a lot to deal with with regard to AoS, etc, but this was such a weight off our shoulders. Her tourist visa was denied last year, which was an absolutely crushing feeling. So glad things worked out this time.

Guys, thank you all for being such a wonderful community. After my desperate rant yesterday, I have great news this morning: USCIS approved us last night!! When I saw the email after waking up, I couldn't stop crying for joy. 
 
For all those still waiting: I know how horrible it is, and I know how much of an emotional toll it can take on a person. Hoping and praying for everybody to be approved not only in due time (that takes forever in USCIS's terms), but pretty soon. Also, may we all get our visas eventually. All my best wishes to all of you and thank you so much for being such a great support again!! 

My interview was last Wednesday, March 22. I had with me proofs of ongoing relationship: screenshots of our convos on viber, emails, boarding passes from our visits that we made after we had filed I-129F, some recent photos. None of that was needed. Actually, the only thing that I needed for the interview was affidavit of support I-134 and proofs of fiance's income.

No, I didn't get any RFE and I don't think I will need any..let's say that I am extremely organized and checked every paper I gave like 5 times haha flight tickets of both of us from coming to the US or him coming to Spain, flight tickets of trips we made together, hotel reservation where both names can be seen, letters, passports with stamps etc..and besides that then none of us ever got married, none of us have kids, none of us have background..everything sign, pictures with his family, my family, our trips to other countries..we never met on a dating site so another thing that should not give trouble..and all the other papers needed in there. 
I am like you, no clue why are they taking so long for such a simple case. People told me I should wait until the 5 month and if I still got nothing, then send an email. Somehow I see at the moment anyway too many people having the same problem with waiting that long 

Don't worry folks, I am already over 120 days waiting! (almost 4 months by the end of this week). It's all about not losing hope..so keep it up!

Reaching 90 days of waiting this week. Hope to get good news by Friday. Since I'm flying to see my fiancé that day it would be awesome to celebrate the good news together. I'm crossing my fingers!

Hi , dont think sending in all that conversation info was necessary, Thanks for asking about me , i am in Taiwan now for two weeks , interview not booked yet , have some delay with getting police report from Philippines. Hopefully in next 3-4 weeks  she will have a interview. seams like here can book it within few days .     

I got the RFE on Friday (cause was what I suspected) and am mailing the response tomorrow (technically today, now...). Hopefully soon!

That's crazy because in my application I only stated "we met online" no specific site was mentioned and they approved our case.  I'm a firm believer that it all depends on the adjudicator you get.  Besides after thousands of applications I'm sure they already know what sites are marriage brokers and which are not.  Waste of time in my opinion.
