I email mine yesterday night. Customer service said you should receive a response within two business days. So I should hear back Monday. This has never happened to me before so it’s very overwhelming!

Never happened to us either. Have faith. If they cashed your check or charged your credit card then they should have it. Seems a lot of us had the same problem so I’m guessing it might have been a computer glitch.

They said the same and just told me to email the lockbox support. I did that yesterday and she said to wait to business days to hear back from them. So we will see. I saw a few people not even getting responses from the email. No idea how this is supposed to work if we can’t get a receipt number.

If it’s been over 15 days from the time the file was received then she should be able to give you the case/receipt number on the phone. We specifically asked for it and she provided it after calculating the days we’ve been waiting. I would call again and you should get a more helpful agent.

Am just wondering what is a Lockbox? we sent our package with Fedex to the following address:

    USCIS
    Attn: I-751
    2501 S. State Hwy. 121 Business
    Suite 400
    Lewisville, TX 75067

Is there an email that we can inquire about our receipt?

    TIA

The lockbox is the processing center which your file first goes for processing. For you it’s the Texas Lockbox based on the address above. I would call USCIS number at 1-800-375-5283. If they have processed your case but you haven't received your NOA the agent will ask you to write to the Texas Lockbox which is different email from ours (Phoenix Lockbox) that the other filers mention earlier in the thread. They will also give you your case number to track the case. Good luck!

Hey guys! Need some advice... I filed in April and got accepted on 4/22. I received an email stating my NOA will be mailed 7-10 days but yet to receive it. Kind of freaking out and not sure to sit and wait or try to contact USCIS... (try to contact them). Anyone else still waiting?!

Our case got accepted on 4/23. We called USCIS because we didn’t even get the email. The agent said we should have already received the NOA. Based on your case being one day earlier than ours I would call them. She told us to send an email to the lockbox to get a new NOA issued which we did today.

Great. at least you are able to know the reason why you didn't receive it previously. hope you get your NOA soon!

We also called again this morning, turns out the check is wrong. we did not include a biometrics fee because I thought we didn't have to. they are going to mail us a letter saying how we can resubmit a correct check. but at least, they are able to locate our file and it is not lost.

hope you get your NOA soon!

Thank you. That’s great they were able to locate your case too. Good luck on getting your NOA soon after they get the new check.

I hope they are able to find your package somewhere in their pile. I’ve had it happen before in the post office where it falls behind a table and they locate it eventually. I’ll let you know if they have a case number for us.

Update. Called the USCIS. Agent says we should have received the NOA. So need to send a letter to the lockbox email to get a duplicate distributed. At least got the WAC case number. Took about 30 minutes for the agent to find our file. Bizarre.

I have a feeling that they have lost out package in whole because our check is not cashed nor did we receive any text msg.

your check is cashed so that's a good sign at least they did get your package. I would Call USCIS and they will be able to tell you your receipt number

so we mailed in our package on April 25 and it says it was delivered through ups on may 1st.

its been 11 days, no text msg no checks being cashed.

we got worried so we called USCIS and they told us they are not able to see our files in the system. meaning it either not being processed yet which they think its unlikely or its being misplaced.

so they gave me this email lockboxsupport@uscis.dhs.gov to try locate our package.

anyone has encountered a similar situation? any idea on how long it takes to hear back from this lockbox support email?

    thank you alll

Please keep us updated. I’ll probably send an email as well in a few days since haven’t received text or email confirmation from when we sent it on April 22. Maybe it’s a Phoenix lockbox issue?

    Thanks for the info.

i called them this morning because USPS notified me that my package was delivered on 5/05 and have not heard anything from USCIS.

The customer service representative told me that is too soon for them to confirm if they accepted my case. She also said it’s taking them up to 15 days to send out the text/email with the confirmation and case number for those who included the form G-1145, and another 15 days to send out the NOA. That means we will have to wait up to a month since the packages are delivered to receive the letter.

Good info, thank you. I would assume it’s up to 15 days from the time they charge your credit or cash check not from when it’s received. I imagine the packages pile up.

    Hi Guys,

We submitted my husband's file on April 25 and UPS shows it was delivered on May 1. We still have not received any text msg and our bank account is not charged yet.

Should we call and ask what's going on? If so, which is the best number for us to call?

    Thankyou

It took them about a week for them to cash our check after it was received.

My packet was delivered to Phoenix AZ on April 20 and I havent got any NOA yet. As for the check i used money order and USPS is not very accurate when you track it.

Seems a few of us are still stuck in the Bermuda Triangle of USCIS.

I'm actually going to call today for a similar reason. We never received our paper NOA after 3 weeks! We did receive our text notification though saying our case was recieved. Did you submit form G-1145 with your packet? If so I would definitely call.

Please let us know what they say. Good luck!

We sent our RoC packet in mid-April, and USPS tracking says it was delivered as expected to the Phoenix lockbox on April 12th.  The check hasn't been cashed yet, and we haven't received any notifications (via email/text or paper copy).  Has anyone else had to wait this long for the check to get cashed?  Is it time for us to call in?  My husband's green card is going to expire very soon, and we're starting to get concerned about not having any form of confirmation or paperwork.

I would call them. Worst they can say is need to wait another week before calling based on someone saying earlier that they can’t check case until it’s been 30 days. Since we didn’t get notification either I’ll probably call next week if still nothing.

I placed the G-1145 form on top of the I-751 form as well.

Did you sign up for USPS's Informed Delivery service?  https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action That's how I knew I will be getting the hard copy NOA on 04/20. I only received a text notification on 04/17 that case was received.

Yes we have Informed Delivery. We should have also received text based on your timeline and others. Strange. Well hope we get NOA soon. Thanks.

I had the exact same update as @Ehri&Mark. I'm currently at 13 months and I still haven't gotten an interview notice. When you say 10 months does this count from July 2017? If I have to wait for 13 plus 10 months now I'll go nuts 😁

They asked from the time the case status said “Ready to be scheduled for interview”  to the actual interview was 10 months for us in LA office. It took about a year from the time we filed AOS to green card.

The next status if I recall correctly was Interview Scheduled. And we get notice in mail about a week later. And then the interview date was about a month later. Hope this helps.

Hi guys. I need help. Im getting nervous and worried and anxious. 🙁

I got an RFE for a new medical. I did my Medical. And they have found out that I am TB positive. Now I need to see a infectious disease doctor to further look into this before completing my I 693.  But my question is, how is it gonna affect my Green Card process? If I ever need to go on a treatment? Would they wait for 9 months till clear before the doctors release my I 693? Is my Greencard gonna be delayed? Or how its gonna go? My RFE deadline is only until next month only.😭

Suggest you post this on the main AOS to get a proper response from people like Geowrian since this group is more limited to just July filers. Hope you feel better.

I am so distraught right now. We are 7 months into the K1 process and only just realised that we could've done DCF for a CR-1 because I have been living in the UK for 4 years. At the beginning of the process we looked into CR-1's but saw that the usual processing time is 12-14 months and didn't see anything about direct consular filing, and we liked the idea of getting married in the US. Anyone else gotten themselves into this ordeal? The thought of those thousands of dollars going down the drain is nearly bringing me to tears...Can't believe we screwed up this badly...Getting married in US is not worth that amount of loss... 😞😰

Yes I stupidly did the same thing when I was living in China for 13 years. Ooops. I even had some VJers tell me to cancel K-1 and proceed with DCF. So now anytime anyone asks which one they should do I say CR-1 and especially if it’s a country with DCF.

Anyway misery loves company. The good news is she has her green card now so you’ll get through it too. Try not to live with too much regret.

I was reviewing with someone about my form and they aren't fully aware of how the process goes (nor can I find anyone to go over this with) and she mentioned something to me that was confusing.

So for the I-129F (Visa K-1) paper on page 2, does the physical address have to be filled out even though my mailing address on page 1 is the same?

Would this also apply to page 5 to add the address to the physical listing while the mailing is the same?

You need to put your physical address. In other words the address that you are living at. Sometimes people have different mailing address than where they live . Physical address may also be used to determine domicile. If it’s the same address as mailing then just simply type the same address. Good luck.

I also have transcripts I can use to show that I've been doing school online for the entire time I've been in China to prove my intent to finish my education on campus.

If the interview date is close enough, I should be able to register for classes and get the registrar to write a formal letter showing that I am registered for on-campus classes the semester that begins shortly after we plan to enter the US.

    Here's a cover letter I'm working on:

    Look good?

Perfect. You will have no issue based on above.

Thanks for your response! I have all of these. If absolutely necessary, I could travel back to the USA before my wife, but I would rather not do that, especially because I'm on a teaching contract that will expire precisely when I would like to go back to the US and I would like to accompany her to the interview and move together back to the States.

You’ll be fine then. Personally I don’t think you need to travel back. I would bring your teaching contract showing it’s expiring as further evidence that you’re planning on returning.
