Peachess got a reaction from hannac in Case Complete to Interview June 2018
Yaaayyy!!! I got approved this morning at LAGOS embassy.
It went very well. The only "but" was the waiting time, got there at 6:20am for a 6:30am interview, went through all the security checks, biometrics, etc. And had my interview at about 8:30am.. the interview by itself wasn't up to 5 mins.
I took the oath.. Questions asked-
How long was your husband in Nigeria before he went back?
When did u guys meet?
How did u meet and where?
Has he been married before?
So he divorced his wife in Nigeria?
Have u ever been married?
What does ur husband do?
When did u get married?
Do u have any photos of your wedding?
(I brought out the album and she asked me to open it and flip through, I flipped just about 3 pages, she asked who were in the photos, asked if we were married in church and if we had a traditional marriage)
Your visa has been approved!!
Make sure u pay the green card fee before u travel, read about your rights in the US, pick up your passport when it's ready.
I'm so happy this journey is finally over.. thanks to you all at vj for being a great support system.. and good luck to everyone else still waiting.

Guys, I’m balanced now 😜
The journey went thus; I left my house around 3:40 am and got to the embassy 4:55 am ( the road was free, first time I’ll see Lagos without traffic 😁). I joined the queue around 5 am and we were all called in @ 6:00 am .. They checked my police certificate, passport ID, ds 260, interview letter and passport photograph.. I was given a number and called back for biometrics later, before the main interview. ( I stood till past 12pm 😭 just coz they keep saying I should allow elders to sit first, I was crying inside myself, they turned me to soldier coz I’m young. I was Num 14 but they kept calling numbers like 50 😂.. it’s a weakening process, thank God it came out successfully )
IR2 INTERVIEW ( took about 10 mins, she enjoyed typing)
CO: Good morning
ME: Good morning (with a fake smile)
CO: what’s your surname? ( I replied)
CO: where does your dad live ( I replied)
CO: when did he get to the US and how ( I replied )
CO: Can I see pictures you took with him ?
ME: Okay, i showed her the little I had ( 1 real baby pics with him and the rest were FaceTime screenshots ) then she asked if there were more, I told her the old pics has been destroyed due to poor storage ( perfect excuse 😜).
Then she stamped and signed a paper after which she asked if I’ll like to continue my course of study in the US, I happily told her yes..
She gave me two white papers and said I’ve been approved😇😇.. For sometime I thought I was not in Nigeria again 🤣🤣
Its a joyful journey, worth the stress !!
All thanks to God for his gift of Success 🙏🏻
Thanks to all VJ members for your Timely support and prayers too.
Love You All ❤️❤️❤️
God bless Us All ❤️❤️❤️

When you have received ur welcome letter in your email, call nvc to review ur ds 261 on phone. Your fees will open up shortly after. This is if u r non pivot. If u r pivot u can pay all your fees as soon as you receive welcome letter.

Congratulations. You should contact your embassy for any information because apparently everything will be processed at the embassy. The embassy will probably send you a mail.
Good luck!

Hello Everyone , i just concluded my interview and I'm pleased to inform you all that I was approved 💃💃. The whole process has been tiring, but I give all glory to God.
So I was at the embassy by 6am and an official was already separating IV applicants from Non IV applicants. We were asked to stand on a line, open the envelope containing the medicals, bring out your confirmation page of DS 260, your appointment letter and insert in your passport. We moved past there to the main hall were we submitted the shot mentioned documents along with a copy of your marriage certificate, police report and birth certificate. We were asked to go back to the line, we were later asked to come take our finger prints and await interview. Meanwhile don't fret if they don't call Your Number On time, numbers aren't called serially. So the interview went as follows
CO: Hello (Name)
Me: Hi Good morning
CO: Raise your hand (took an oath to say the truth and nothing but the truth)
CO: can u tell me about your husband, how old is he, what he does. (I answered)
CO: how long have you been married, how long did u date before u married him, why did u marry him (i answered all)
CO: what kind of car does he drive, what is his shoe size, his favorite tv shows, his hobby (answered all)
CO: how can u describe the relationship with your mother in law (that threw me off but I answered)
Then he said my visa has been approved, I was given a white paper along with some papers and told me my visa would be ready within some couple of days.
It's okay if u don't know the answer to some of the questions. Just be very confident. That was my experince at Lagos Consulate today. Feel free to ask any questions
