Have your fiancee/fiance bring a copy of the petitioner's Naturalization Certificate (and the original copy as well) to the interview and turn it in when asked. They collected a copy of my Naturalization Certificate at the interview and returned the original.

By being a refugee like many of us who escaped the country in April 1975, by boat (aka boat people), or via the HO program. Once you are admitted to the U.S., you get your GC, then your citizenship 5 yrs later.

    Thanks for clarifying that Frontgear!

  2. Hi everyone.

I think this question was asked before on this forum but I want to ask for some clarification.

For the visa interview, the petitioner is asked to provided birth certificate . If the petitioner is a naturalized U.S. citizen and does not have a birth certificate from his country of birth, can the petitioner use his U.S. passport and Naturalization certificate in lieu of his birth certificate?  The petitioner has left his country of birth over 40 years ago since immigrating to U.S.  I doubt the petitioner can obtain any form of birth certificate from his country of birth.

    Thanks in advance.

First are you iPhone or Android?  For the iPhone the app that you want is: Case Tracker & Searcher - for USCIS Immigration.  The name on it is Stephen Aldous.

For the Android I am not sure since I have an iPhone.

I use this on my android.  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spinachsoftware.immigration.uscis.casestatus

Hi everyone, I am apologize if I posted it in the wrong room. My fiancee just have her interview yesterday at US Embassy in Ho Chi Minh. She got blue sheet asking for Canada Police Certificate because she was living in Canada for 2 years using student visa. Does the blue sheet mean a bad sign? Where do she go get her fingerprint in Ho Chi Minh Vietnam anyone know? :(

Tiffanyandgrace, i am curious to know about the outcome of your k-1 visa?  Did you eventually pass the interview?

They have to be close though...RFE's all around my case number but nothing 25 before or after ( but then they pick up again well after my number). So hopefully that's a good sign.

Did see where someone's case was rejected because they used an old form that is no longer accepted..That sucks!

    Case Tracker app(iphone/ipad)

My k-1 petition was delivered to CSC on 4/11 and new I-129F form was made available on 4/10.  I hope my petition does not get rejected.  :(

  7. Hi Everyone

Does anyone know of any affordable and reputable STD/HIV clinics or doctors in Saigon area?  My finacee and I want to get tested now before the Visa medical review.  I want to make sure we do not get surprised by any unfortunate illness during the visa medical review which may cause delays.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Someone recommended Family Medical Pratice clinic (http://www.vietnammedicalpractice.com/)  but it seems to caters to foreign visitors and very expensive.  They seem to overcharge you.

    Thanks in advance,

I am also a Vietnamese girl and now living in HCMC. My fiance is in Ohio state. We are also waiting for NOA2. Nice to meet you here

There are alot of companies in HCMC can supply instruction/procedures for K1 visa with costs requirement but I think I will arrange myself since there are tons of information online we can search and download, rather than pay alots of money to those company but not sure about passing interview or not. If you still need, let me know then I can give you 1 to contact to.

    Hi Kitty Anh

Nice to meet you! I sent you a private email.  We hope to hear from you.

  9. Hello All

My Vietnamese fiancee needs some help after the NOA2 when she needs to gather documents , complete online DS-160, and other steps that is required.  She is not fluent in English so she may needs some help.  Anyone can help or knows someone in Ho Chi MInh city who can help her out.  I am not in need of an lawyer but someone who understands English/Vietnames and is familiar with the K-1 visa process and can provide her with some help if needed.  We are willing to pay a fee for their help.

  10. I have chatted with my Vietnamese girlfriend online and video chatted with for on a daily basis morning and night for 8 months. I finally visited my Vietnamese girlfriend on 11/10 - 11/13 and gave her a engagement ring. For those days ,she stayed at my hotel and spent all day with me sight seeing and got to know each other and met her family. I have photos spent time with her and her family. I have Uber account with her profile that was created on her behalf and receipts showing places we went together. She doesn't have a credit card so my credit card was used for payment. We have exchanges gifts and she also gave gifts to take back to my family.

Is this enough time spent with her for K-1 petition requirement of proof of relationship? Do I need to make more visit to meet her in Vietnam for petition approval?
