My status on NVC changed from CC to review in process so I called them to see what happened and that's when I was told that my file had been sent to the Embassy because of my expedite and that embassy will contact me.
 
But i winder if we should call embassy instead? Not sure. But we asked for expedite through senator so they're handling it all and already emailed embassy about interview.
 
Hopefully you guys get an interview soon!!!! Praying my hubby is here before end of January if possible, I saw Islamabad has dates available for interview for this week and next.

To be honest, when we applied for the expedite we thought it was for NVC, so when we got an email saying that our expedite request had been approved pending the NVC paperwork review we got real confused From what I can gather it just means we get the chance to call the embassy and request an interview date, rather than waiting for one to be assigned, but we're going to call the embassy tomorrow and maybe I'll know more after that! We did it just through email, and there were a number of reasons, mostly fairly personal, but my husbands grandmother is quite ill so that played a big part in our decision to request an expedite (he lives here in NZ with me)

We are right there with you, and for a 2nd SD so the nerves are high especially after we were messed around by NVC so much 🙄😐

OKAY so we have an update!
 
We got a checklist on 11/28 because we were missing a police report that wasn't actually missing at all. The NVC employee told us to call back in a week to check that the case had been put in line for a supervisor to review it again. We called back tonight and ANOTHER ISSUE. When the file was updated on 11/30 the date in the system was changed, so it looked like we sent in our original pack of documents on 11/30, starting the 11 week process again. The guy at NVC this time was so helpful, tried to find a supervisor but couldn't, and told us that he would make it a priority. His words were 'This is considered a case complete and as soon as the supervisor flags the case you will be in the queue for an interview, call back in another week to make sure that has all gone through' so I'm taking it!

WOO finally got our scan date today December 1!! Now to wait hopefully lnly 6-7 weeks!

Just to share with you guys, when i was waiting everyday for NVC processing, i was checking approx every case from July/August/September Scan dates , i calculated the time that took every case for CC or a checklist and below are the results:
 
For (July/August/September) Scan dates: The average was 50 days 
For (August/September) Scan dates: The average was 48 days 
For (September) Scan dates: The average was 47 days 
 
*50 Users used for the above Data*
 
NVC is obviously taking 6-7 weeks now to finish cases or send a checklist.

Here we go again with another wait!

Here's hoping we can get at least this part of the process out of the way before the holiday season starts!

While that's statistically correct, logic doesn't work as an argument against a phobia. You don't go from being irrationally (no offence BostonChops, I have exactly the same issue) terrified including physical symptoms to being okay with flying just by knowing that it's statistically safer than driving.
 
BostonChops, I'm so sorry I have no simple answers, but they guys up above are solid - if she can provide super super solid ties to PH then she'll have a much better shot at getting a B2 from my understanding. Wish you all the best!

I think once we all get our visas and get to the states we should have a meetup somewhere because we all deserve a MASSIVE drink!

You guys! We got approved!! This process has been so tough and it's not over yet but we got an update on the app this morning, on the day of our anniversary party with my extended family and there were definitely some tears! I know it's so, so hard, and I know I am really lucky to have my husband here in New Zealand with me but that day will come for all of you x
