My advice is don't over do it.
dress as stated above business casual. There is no need to do the flag thing. Just be Honest,Respectful, and Polite. I personally dislike people who over do things to get on my good side...
I want to thank everyone that helped answering my questions on this forum. We filed a family based petition based on marriage to a us citizen August 2016, and thank god we had a positive outcome. We received my gc about a month ago. And I just wanted to thank all the real couples for sharing their experiences to help those who are embarking on this immigration journey.
I am more than willing to help anyone with any ?'s they have based on my experience only. I am no lawyer but willing to share my little knowledge.

Putting your dirty laundry on VJ for all to see is not gonna solve anything. If you're serious about your relationship, listen to each other and talk to each other. Communication is key to a healthy relationship.
I've had a marriaged based interview on November 4 2016 and was given a continued for further review paper. I'm a bit anxious and worry because I have not received approval/denial/rfe or anything changing from online status it just says " interview scheduled"
Details on my situation, met my wife(usc) in H.S. In 07 been together since we have 13 month old daughter, got married in May 2016 and applied in late June and it was received by Aug 2nd. That's my priority date.
I went to a lawyer to help us fill out the forms I-765 i130 i485 together. I have been arrested 3 times 1st time it got rejected at the courthouse meaning no charges were filed. 2nd time pc381b possession of nitrous oxide with intent to inhale. I pleaded no contest and completed 15 Na meetings and it got dismissed.((1st arrest March 08..2nd October 2008)) 3rd time was a DUI first offense misdemeanor no injury nor accident, got pulled over because of my tags.
Lawyer said as long as I disclosed this info I would be ok.
Interview-nov-4 2016
Went in there at 10:00 appt was at 10:30 ended up being called around 11:00 IO was a young Guy, very polite and easy going. Went in there swore us in, then told us to relax that it was a very straight interview and not to get nervous as he would go back and forward to the computer and application. He then asked for my passport and any other form of ID I had I provided him my passport, ead and a tourist visa I was provided when I was like 11 years old ( came in legally ) overstayed it expired when I turned 15. And he took my wife's Id. Asked a few questions like name dob asked her my moms name my dads and where I was born. Then asked her my job title and she hesitated a little and then said appliance technician which is what I do.then he moved on to ask me my address and all the yes/no questions and I answer yes to have been arrested. He didn't asked for details just asked me what years did the arrest occurred I said 2 in 2008 and last one in 2011. He said for what and I told em first two possession of a substance and 3rd a DUI. My lawyer jumped in at this point saying 1st arrest no charges were filed and for the other 2 she got actual arrest reports so he wouldn't have to request em he smiled and said she knows what she is doing. Nothing else was said about my arrests. Then he asked me my last day of entry I said September 1 2001 I'm not sure if it was 1 or 21 it was about 15 years ago! He then asked my wife why her id had her old address,we then both explained that where we currently live the property has been sold recently and new landlord has plans to remodel and most likely we will have to move soon. He then said I have a cousin that went through that I know how it is. Then he moved on to ask us for joint documents I printed out about 60 pictures, took the phone and wifi bill and 2 years of our car registration. We have been married for 6 months and we decided to move in with my mom since she does not work and can help us with the baby (( is our fist child )) he saw the pictures and said our baby's birthday party looked real nice. Then asked about my sister in law pointing her out asking who is this? We both answer so he asked me your sister? I said sister in law and my wife said my sister, he laughed and said ok good. After that he took documents made copies, kept a few pictures and asked me for my wife's phone # then mine. He also made copies of our debit cards even though we don't have a joint acct yet because I didn't have a social security number. He then came in handed me a further review letter and gave me my ead card back as well and walked us out, I was too afraid to ask anything. The paper says to wait 120 days before contacting them so it's been 13 days and status hasn't change no letters nothing! Anyone had a similar experience with a positive outcome?! Thanks for reading my essay! Lol
