My sister was my co-sponsor for the K1 visa since I had no income for how many years (fresh grad). Last week my fiance had her interview at USEM and the CO never asked us for the affidavit of support, but before we were called to the window I heard another CO asking to see the I-134. I'm guessing it really depends on the CO. Just be prepared even though a lot of people have not been asked for the evidence of support.

First of all, congratulations! I think we basically have the same situation cuz I went to school here in the PH too but I wasn;t able to graduate. But anyway, I guess this is a good proof that it's a good idea to accompany my fiance on his interview lol It feels very exciting! Congratulations again! :-) :-) :-)
Thanks, Sally! 😊
Yes, I definitely think that would be a good idea! At least he won’t be as nervous with you there by his side and better proof of a bonafide rel to the consuls. ☺️
Oh, and.. If you go with him you guys can leave your gadgets with the guard inside the embassy. I thought it wasn't allowed since I kept reading “No gadgets or electronic devices” but if the USC attends they have a little locker there just bring an extra ID other than your passport to leave with them.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Congratulations. It's cool you got to go through interview together. I went also and it was actually fun. Besides the embassy liking to see the Petitioner there, it really takes the stress out of the interview day by doing it together.
Thank you, Sir!
This is true, my Fiance was confident the entire time.. I was the one who was nervous. Haha

Hello Everyone! My fiance had her interview yesterday - October 27 6:40 AM at USEM and we got approved!
I was with her during the entire process and I was also asked a few questions by both Filipino and American consuls. Everything went very smooth! They did not even ask for the affidavit of support or pictures. All those stressful nights and torturous wait just disappeared.
A warm thank you to everyone here for all your guidance and support. May we all have a blessed and happy journey ahead!

Wow. Alright. Thank you so much! I was about to reply to your first comment. Good to see this one lol I'll try to do that
good luck to your journey as well!
Hi Sally. Our fellow VJ’ers have corrected me regarding this. My original post about rescheduling once is right or you’ll end up paying the interview fee again. 😟 I guess that link doesn't apply in Manila.
Thank you! Wishing we all have a smooth journey! 😊

Actually there is for Manila. This is from USTravelDocs:
" Please be reminded that even though nonimmigrant visa fees are valid for one calendar year, options to schedule an appointment are limited. The U.S. Embassy in Manila schedules hundreds of thousands of nonimmigrant visa appointments each year and must accommodate requests both for new appointments and for those applicants who need to reschedule their appointments for whatever reason. Applicants are only allowed to reschedule twice (not including the initial appointment) without penalty. If the second rescheduling attempt is canceled, an applicant will only be allowed to reschedule a new date after a waiting period of 90 days. Please plan your visa application accordingly to avoid problems securing an interview appointment. "
Basically two gimmes, then you start to have issues.
Thanks! That’s what I thought.

There really is no certainty to your question. The best thing to do is schedule your appointment before the slots run out, and keep checking back to see if someone has cancelled on an earlier date, but keep in mind you could only reschedule once.
While waiting for your documents to arrive try getting the CFO seminar and medical out of the way for smooth sailing.
Goodluck! 😊
@Sally08 EDIT: I guess there’s no more limit to how many times you can reschedule.

Congrats! Very happy for you
I hope your interview comes on smoothly.
But dyou think the november schedules could change? We've been notified with our status being "ready" but I we are still waiting for certain documents needed for the interview and they are being mailed from the u.s. so it's gonna take a bit while. I'm planning to get my fiance to the u.s. on the last week of november but apparently it shows the week before that is the only available slot. Dyou think it could change and somehow get a schedule earlier than that on november?

Hi wonderful people!
Does anybody know how long it takes before my consulate receives my case? I'm the USC petitioner and I am currently in the Philippines with my fiance. We got out case number on the 5th of October. I know it's still early, but I'm just a little overwhelmed and I really don't wanna wait longer than 6 months. gahhh
Try tracking it using your case number: https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx
USEM received our case one week after we got our case number from NVC, but until now the embassy hasn't sent anything to my F.

Is she employed or self employed? The education section for us also disappeared, and I assumed it was because of her self-employment. We had no issues.
Edit: Google tells me that DS-160 sections regarding education appear and disappear depending on how the previous questions regarding employment are answered.
She handed her resignation letter last week. We put: Not Employed.
We tried for the third time creating a new application for the DS160. We answered everything like the previous ones, but this time we didn't add her secondary education and it now shows the educational background. I don't know if that was the case, but it worked!

Restart u computer
We tried restarting and used Chrome, Fire Fox, and IE. I'll try to do a new application, and if the same issue persists we will just go ahead and submit it and explain to the CO. Thanks guys!

You have to fill from the beginning and save the form at every point while you will fill it.
Yes, that's what we've been doing from the beginning. We have tried everything, but that section just completely disappeared.

Hey Guys! I have a question regarding the DS160 and need advice.
We encountered some problems filling out the ds160 form. It kept timing out on us and couldn't get past the photo and security question. We did some research and read somewhere that Firefox was needed. After downloading the new browser we were able to continue on, but now that we are reviewing it, we noticed the Educational Background section disappeared. We decided to just create a new application since she hasn't signed and submitted it yet, but same thing keeps happening - education background disappeared again.
I really don't know what to do? Should we just sign and submit and just explain to the CO?
TIA

not really a bummer, it is just enough time to get those prerequisites out of the way. tick tock, time is ticking away, don't waste it. While waiting on the NVC number, you need to get your NBI and CENOMAR in hand. Before these, you need a Birth Certificate from PSA. After these three are accomplished (don't forget to get one for every AKA name, also) - Get CFO scheduled and attend. They want a BOATLOAD of documents all about YOU so be prepared to send a lot of personal info to your F so she can attend the seminar. Try to get these all done BEFORE NVC number arrives. When you get NVC number, get online and get the DS 160 submitted. Print a payment coupon and pay at the bank. 4 to 24 hours later, you can scheduloe an interview. All the while, any free time your F has, be printing documentation on ongoing relationship. If Embassy appt is scheduled, do you have a hotel for her to stay at? Probably should get that arranged the same time you are scheduling a hotel for the medical.
Casa Bocobo is a 3 minute walk from SLEC
Sunny Bay Suites is 5 minute walk from the Embassy
If find yourself doing nothing, then start reviewing what you have done, and look for some step you can get done that you are missing. Waiting on the NVC number is actually a nice break, use the time wisely to get the fastest POE.
Best of luck to you!
We definitely will not waste time. Luckily I live with my F here in Manila. The PSA BC and our Cenomar we ordered online through the e-cencus website. This week we will try to finish everything... hopefully (Can't really get a lot of things done in a day with the ridiculous traffic).
Thank you for this, @AnJ Co. You make it sound so easy

To take the medical exam, they need a screenshot or an email printed on paper. This allows you to have the medical exam.
More and more people are reporting that they will NOT release the medical exam records to you without a copy of the NVC hard copy mailed to the Petitioner. Scan this letter and send to your beneficiary, as soon as you get the letter from NVC.
Bummer! And I thought things would start speeding up after the NOA2. Actually called NVC a couple of days ago.. no case number yet.. then he told me to call back after 6 weeks. (4 weeks receiving, and another 2 weeks for them to put the data in the computer - something like that) I'll try again on Monday. Thanks for the info.

So my medical was done last Tuesday and I got the result in the afternoon. I passed lol.
I might have the interview on OCT 5th that's the latest appointment showing. I have to check first and update y'all
Congrats!
For the medical does St. Lukes need a copy of the NVC letter, or just the case number? I read something on our thread last last week about them now requiring the actual copy of the letter, but can't find where its buried. TYIA

Just got notification of approval on my app for today! Best birthday present ever! And USPS played a cruel joke on me today. Sent me an Informed Delivery notification with no photo and when I checked the mail there was nothing. My sweetie is dancing on a cloud!
Congrats and Happy Birthday!
I can feel more approvals coming for our fellow Aprilities

Awesome news! Congratulations
So given all the late approval updates on the USCIS tracker... Might that be that is actually fixed?
More food for thought
Thank you!! Most likely they fixed it. I didn't even receive a text message nor e-mail on our approval. The conveyor belt probably died and needs CPR.
I think the third party workers are supposed to do the text and e-mails.
I'm so grateful to you all. Now I appreciate all the posts here about what to do next with the NVC.
Port of Entry Date on I-94 is Different than Passport Stamp

You should be fine. My wife also had different dates on her I-94 and passport stamp. Never had any issues getting SSN, and even at our GC interview the IO never asked about this.
