For those of you who have recently interviewed in Mount Laurel can you tell me if they used your biometrics picture or took a new one the day of interview for your certificate? Also did they take fingerprints? Thanks so much for your help my interview is next week.

Mine was in August at 2pm and after the interview they did same day ceremony which now it is only like 5 minutes. Everyone in Mount Laurel is super nice. Good luck.
Thanks for the info! Mines at 230pm hoping for a smooth experience as I’m super nervous.

I highly doubt you need to bring anything other than what is on the list. It does say that if you sent in copies of something you should bring your originals. I brought all of the items that were on the list and they only checked the letter, passport and green card. In my case they didn't even ask for my husband's birth certificate. You'll just answer the civics questions, read and write as well as confirm some things in your application. you already sent in the tax transcripts etc right? They already have it.
Yes everything I scanned online during application submission. They don’t have my 2019 taxes bc I filed dec 2019 which I have copy of along with tax transcript.

What have you all been asked for during your interview based on 3 years application apart from the items listed on the interview notice that you took with you? My interview is coming up and I want to plan accordingly, I usually take more than what's asked for but trying to avoid having to take everything from Initial Greencard/ROC app. I plan on taking updated bank statements, 3 years worth of tax transcript from IRS, photcopies of our ids from previous addresses we have lived together, previous copy of apartment lease, current house deed, current car/house insurance for this year, utilities for this year that have names on them.
Items on Interview Notice
- Letter
- Passport
- Green Card
- Spouse US Birth Certificate

Yes good luck! Please keep me updated, do you recall if they do oath ceremonies if your interview is in the afternoon? I know they do same day oaths but not sure if your interview is later in the day.

Thanks for sharing. My countdown will be done in 15 days but I'm a January filer in Newark so I'll probably look at another 6 months wait or so.
Fingers crossed for you that the inquiry triggered something at least
I just got another update when I did a follow up to my question. My case case is at the MT Laurel office and my jurisdiction is for Newark! The mount laurel office is only 45 mins from where I live and from the looks for processing times the mount laurel office is quicker than Newark. Crossing my fingers.

Has anyone heard anything out of Mount Laurel? Our estimated completion date for N400 was July 2020, obviously didn’t happen. The completion date is just empty now...
I’ve seen one rescheduled interview that was supposed to happen in March rescheduled for August so at that rate I’m guessing citizenship in 2021...
My estimated date was July 2020
as well and it disappeared last week. Now I have the message “we are taking longer than expected to proceed your case”. I made an enquiry about this happening and I got the below response back in my uscis account inbox :Thank you for your inquiry dated July 26, 2020.
Requesting information about your N-400, Application for Naturalization.
Your application information has been entered into the system which schedules applicants for interviews at their local Field Office. Interview appointments are scheduled as slots become available at the Field Office. Once you have been scheduled for an appointment, you will receive an Interview Appointment Notice to appear at a certain date and time at your local Field Office. You must take the Interview Appointment Notice and photo ID to your appointment. Please review the Interview Appointment Notice for any other requirements. -

Here we go NJ. Just got an email back from local congressman office about N-400 interview timeline. They said Newark office began processing scheduling N-400 interviews from June 29th, on a limited bases. If anybody shares a new scheduled date, it would be very helpful
Thank you for sharing this! My husband is going to do the same for my naturalization case. I just got off the phone with uscis and they were no help.

I called USCIS this morning to find out about the same processing times for all the field offices. The girl I spoke with said she was surprised and explained that it was possibly a glitch because dates shouldn't be going back 2 yrs and showing July 2017. She did say that they update this information on the 15th of each month and hopefully July 15th will reflect accurate processing times.
She also reconfirmed that they sent my case to the West Palm Beach field office on Jan 6th 2020 for interview scheduling but no update from them yet so I'd have to wait until they do start scheduling.
What number did you call? I’d like to see where my file is and if they transferred to my local office.

Mine is Mount Laurel as well..I haven’t heard back since Jan after biometrics. My estimated completion time pre pandemic showed to be may 2029 and it is now showing July 2020. Hope to keep each other posted on updates

Thanks to all of you for replies! We just found out we did not remove restrictions on the SS card......this should be fun.
I had push back from SSN office when I tried to do it with my extension letter and expired green card. I told them USCIS letter says this is a valid proof for status and my eligibility and to get the manager to call uscis to confirm if needed. The lady thought about what I said and she issued me the approval right away. So don’t be afraid to push back back if the ssn office says you can’t use your stamp in the passport because you can!

Did you remove restrictions on your SSN card when you become permanent resident? If you did, by law - your SSN card that has no restrictions must be accepted by your employer to prove your eligibility to work in the US. I provided my SSN card without restrictions when I switched jobs and my Drivers License and they had to accept it. I did not provide my expired greencard even though i had my extension because they just wont get why you have an extension letter sometimes.
Hope this helps!

Anyone have experience at Mt Laural or Newark with N400 while Removal of Conditions is pending?

Got text and email that my case got updated last night. The update says that my case was transferred to another office and now that office has jurisdiction. They will mail me a notice of why it was transferred. Any one got an update like this? My case was at the Vermont Service Center.

N-400 Dec 2019 Filers
in US Citizenship Case Filing and Progress Reports

I passed my interview and took my oath in Mount Laurel, NJ today. My interview only took 10 mins and then 10 mins later had my oath taking ceremony with 5 others. I am finally a US citizen! The officer was awesome and he talked to me about Russell Peters and his jokes since we both are from Canada. It was a smooth experience overall. This forum has been a great help. Good luck to the rest of you!
