Well it's a new day and I see there are no new approvals for CSC .... 2 yesterday for VSC and 1 TODAY.... sighhhhhh ..... no touch yesterday no nothing.

Getting discouraged....

I think Tamara is scared and now has realized that it is going to happen, she has 2 sons 22,23, also her parents are in thier 80's so she is worried about them, but the thing she worries about the most is the interview you see I tried bring her over in January on vistors visa, she got denied, and then again in March, and of course she got denied again, so I went to meet her in May and thats when we decided to get married and try to bring her to Alaska...and so began this process..

It's natural for her to feel that way, people aren't usually happy about leaving their family and everything they know behind. Thankfully most people have a nice way of adapting to a new life, and it's not like she won't ever get to return to Ukraine and see her sons and mother If you look around in the forums a bit, you'll discover a lot of people feeling this way and usually they are fine once the first huge wave of homesickness has left them. From what I hear the consulate in Ukraine is not the worst to deal with so I think she will be fine during the interview! Just make sure you support her the best you can, and not to forget about your own stress along the way. The whole K1 is tough business, no doubt, but it'll be all worth it in the end when the two of you can finally be together.

My touching usually doesnt occur until between 4:45-5:45 central time ... its becoming a habit since it has happened every day for the LAST WEEK!!!

I was just thinking of your case when I sat back down here again, how weird it must be to get a daily touch that way. Just approve it already, CSC. It's like the officer took a bite of a sandwich, picked up the file to browse it, put it back down again to have another bite, picked it up again when chewing on it, sat it back down again for a third bite and so on.. I think that would drive me nuts!

It's like a slow dripping faucet ........ and yes ITS DRIVING ME NUTS!!!!

AP is usually for the beneficiary, but they do sometimes do background checks on the petitioner, but I dont think they are the long drawn out FBI name checks that they do on the beneficiary. I haven't heard of any case being held up too long cuz of AP on the petitioner.

Background checks are done on both petitioner and beneficiary and can be done at any stage during the process if the requested.

I have yet to figure out how to track this thing.. when I input the figures it won't show anything at all

I do think it's a bit early for it to already be at the embassy in Norway though.

Gonna send lots of warm and fuzzy thoughts to your packages in Chile and Sydney so they will give you guys some quick interview dates!

I went to file for my new pass port yesterday at noon and today at 2 pm it was already in my mailbox.

11 approvals today at VSC ....that just drives me crazy. (And spare me the discussion of how it alternates every year... ) It still drives me crazy ...when I feel like CSC is moving slower than a snails pace ...and we are jumping for joy when we see one approval a day. UGH.

HI HI HI.... Sorry I was in South Bend earlier for a meeting and was not able to #1 check USCIS.com nor visa journey!!!

So apparently I received my daily touch ..... ahhh again CSC thanks for the touch but COME ON ALREADY ..... WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON WITH OUR FILE.

In all honesty I am beginning to worry. Every day a touch since 10/8/09? I read about a man that this was happening to (the daily touches) and it continued to happen for over 1 year .... If I am not mistaken his wife does not yet have her visa.

If its going to be denied then JUST DENY .... this is absolutely torturous!!

(oh and if it is denied they best be prepared for the wrath of MAL)

Anyway -- hoping for a better tomorrow that is filled with NOA2's!!!

Can someone please let me know what are the steps needed to change a consulate ( embassy) location before the K1 is approved ( RFE sent at this stage)?

Should I wait till it is approved, and sent to NVC and change it?

Any help is appreciated.

FYI .....

You might want to research the waiting times in Canada for an interview. I thought I read in this Forum that the waiting time is crazy long there.

Maybe look in the April 2009 K1 filers thread to see if you can find what I'm talking about.

Just an FYI - there is AP at every step and security checks at every step of the visa process for the petitioner and the beneificiary. This is standard so dont worry when you hear the word "AP" or you will make yourself crazy

My fiance is from Algeria so if anyone from Algeria could respond I am looking to see if there is anything special or different that what is normally asked for.
