AOS is now taking between 11 -14 months, depending on interview location and other factors.
You can call uscis and inquire as well
-
We brought court wedding photo and also wedding celebration with family / friends that was done later. Just any wedding photo should be enough.
Good luck. -
Our AOS interview questions and experience is posted here. Please take a look. Good luck.

Our AOS interview went well. We arrived at Seattle office 30 minutes early. After a short wait we were called.
Our interview officer was a lady officer. She was professional and asked us many more questions than what we thought.
For my wife:
- They asked us many questions. From 485 form - all questions from last 2 pages...have you ever ______ questions.
- Have you been to US before?
- Have you traveled outside? Did you go to Greece...you applied for Travel authorization?
- Who attended engagement?
- When did you get married? Where was wedding? How many people attended? Where was Wedding?
- Who does household work?
For husband/petitioner:
- How we met. Which online site?
- They they asked about when we met.
- Why I choose Vietnam? How did I propose?
- Do you still have same job?
For both:
- Where do you live? How long did it take to get there this morning?
- Who does housework?
- How are things going? Any problems being that we are from different cultures?
She said that our documents looked complete and she did not need anything else. But we can provide any additional documentation. We gave a few more documents. She said we can provide few photos. We gave her many documents and photos.
Then she told us that they will decide in the next 2 weeks. If they need any additional info they will send a letter request. Otherwise we should get notification.
We answered each question. We had brought every document that could have been asked. We also had supporting documents to show our married lives.
Overall the interview was fair and bit longer than anticipated.
Thanks to VJ for support and information.
We received green card in mail after 8 days. We are both happy with the long journey and process. Now we can live our married lives.- Mike & Tuyen, Wouter Erwee, PollyC and 1 other

Birth certificate of USC petitioner is good to have but there are other documents that are even better. e.g. US Passport. If you have US passport, then no need for birth certificate.
-
To me it seems that US passport is sufficient to prove that you are USC and can apply for K1 petition. Naturalization cert is just a backup.
I did not need my naturalization cert at interview.
-
I wrote incorrect that interpreter may be free. For AOS one may need to bring interpreter, after all. Maybe a friend that speaks both languages could help.
-
Recommend asking for translator...it will give you peace of mind and help in any challenging questions in english that may be interpreted differently. it is free.
If she does not need interpretation that is fine during interview. But you cannot ask for interpreter during the interview if you did not request one before.

"Currently being adjudicated means"...
They are reviewing evidence to make a decision on your case.
-
To show strong relationship, consider these additional documents:
- All travel trips to see fiance - visa stamps (show how many trips did you make?)
- Photos of both together in many places
- Marriage plans - be prepared to discuss if asked
Best luck

For typical interview, the interview is verification and final check. All information in application, reports and checks are reviewed prior to interview. In most cases officers have an inclination on which way they are leaning to approve. But need to validate things to make sure application is legit before granting visa.
-
Save your money and you can do AOS successfully, for typical cases without lawyer.
VJ community is there for help, if needed!

My wife arrived in Seattle...straight forward. Airlines have used Eva and Asiana both.
-
For K1 cannot be already married or have wedding party.
I can suggest instead to have engagement ceremony. Engagement ceremony and party is also very useful in getting K1 visa during interview. Photos from engagement strengthen your K1 application.
-
Certification means it is official court document. Your divorce is still good with the court certified copy.
-
US citizen should bring financial support documents...See VJ K1 guide for details if needed.
-
Instead of wedding, I can suggest that you could get engagement ceremony done in June in VN. Unless you have already done engagement ceremony.
For K1 interview in VN embassy, engagement ceremony and photos are very useful to prove your legitimate k1 visa.

Maybe consulting a lawyer or expert, who would know about German divorce ...to double check on your papers.
-
Typically you shroud get NOA1 and biometrics appointment n 3 weeks or 4 weeks. If not maybe there is problem in mail package.
Did you sent the package via tracking? Did the tracking show package was received?
-
We had little problem getting P3. No P3 was delivered in regular mail. We sent request thru website to consulate to receive P3 via email. Then we received P3 in email.
Make sure you use the email address that you used in your application.

If medical exam shows anything that looks like TB then TB test maybe ordered by medical clinic doing exam before visa is granted.
-
Looks good...No need for sponsor photos. No need for DS 160.
-
Bryan,
This is common. We got a similar certificate also and submitted for our case. -
You can put in NA

In our case the medical exam report was sent directly to Embassy. There is not a choice to pick it up. We wanted to pick it up, but they said cannot.
Good luck.
