    No Interview

I am not sure what exact day I received the mail. It didn't even show up on my informed delivery.

I also did a service request online to find out the status of my case on October 18th 2021.

Unless you have no other way of paying, a money order should not really be used.

Do you have a receipt from the place you purchased the money order? You would have them investigate to see if it has been cashed.

Also, how did you mail your package? Did you get a tracking number and did you set up to get notification when it was delivered?

I mailed my package via USPS Priority - to Dallas

Yea I got a tracking number and it is showing delivered on February 25th

I did enclose the form for notification

The money order is trackable. It still has not been cashed.

  3. Sent my package on February 22nd

    Delivered February 25th

And I am STILL YET to receive any notification from them!!!

I paid with a Money Order, so I am wondering whether that was a risky way to pay?? I don't think you can even track a money order.

Why does things like this ALWAYS happen to me when I deal with USCIS?? I do everything right, yet my application is always a mystery to them for weeks.

I am sick of this sh*t!

    Hello!

My window is going to open on Feb 8, and I was wondering when they will release the new edition. Sometimes they let you use an expired version if there isn't a new one available and I wonder if this will be case.

BTW, I could not find your thread yesterday and decided to create one today. lol then I was reading the Jan 2020 ROC filers and I saw about the thread you created. I hope the moderators can merge mine and yours since I can't delete mine. 🤞

Hi, apparently the new edition is released on February 3rd

So I have a question, if anyone knows the answer, that would be great. When I try to download the i-751 firm from the USCIS website, it tells me the form expired on 12/31/2019 but no new form is available

    https://www.uscis.gov/i-751

At the same time I see this verbiage when I click on edition date:

12/02/19. Starting 02/03/20, we will only accept the 12/02/19 edition. Until then, you can use the 12/05/17 edition. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions.

The current form is the 12/02/19 edition but it also says it expires on 12/31/2019. I'm pretty confused now. Can I use this form or not? I would like to  file as soon as possible.

I would like to know the exact same thing.

    Can any answer this ????!!!

Today  I am November 18 filer and I got ROC got approved today.

    Lesson:

    1. This is a painful journey. have patience! it might take 13 months to 19 months.

    2. This is what I learned, sending 500 pages of evidences dont work in ROC. send minimal but make sure you are sending solid evidences. like bank statement, tax file, State ID with same address for both. insurance and having baby is big advantage. I sent only 40 pages. if you send them 500 page, they may or may  not review all the pages that you are sending. if  they review all the pages then it will take long time and it will create doubt when officer will review. Officer might ask for face to face interview.

    3. Review  your  application couple of times before you send it. make sure you are sending the right amount.

    4. send pictures like 15 to 20 with description. dont send them albums. They are not interested.

if you are paying tax and did not commit any crime. you will be fine.

Good luck... it's a long journey.

We don't have any recent photos, is that a problem???

Hey guys, nice joining this thread. Just curious about how long it’s taking the USCIS Application Support Center Norfolk, Virginia to schedule an interview. Any stories to tell? Have you had your interviews scheduled already or still waiting. Will very much appreciate any information. Thanks!

Hey! I have my interview next week in Norfolk, VA.

It seems as though Norfolk schedules your interview fairly quick after your EAD & AP are approved. I received my EAD combo card one week and the following week I received my interview notice.

  8. I finally received my combo card 2 weeks ago. I have USPS informed delivery, but my package for the combo card did not show up on there. My combo card was in a Priority envelope and was just left on my doorstep- I couldn’t believe it. They could of at least left it in my locked mailbox.

My daughter (K2) did not receive her combo card at all, even though we were approved and got our notices at the same time. I’ve put a request in about her combo card.

Our GC interview date is 3 weeks away, I’m so glad. This has been a very rough and stressful journey.

Was it sent to your old address even though you had changed it...? I get a bit nervous now as I actually changed my address.

Before I changed my address, USCIS sent two NOA to our mailing address (post box) and one NOA to our residential address :S

Yes, even though I changed my address with USCIS back in early October 2017 they were still sending mail to my old address up until January 2018.

I also done USPS mail forwarding to my new address, but that is very unreliable. They were not forwarding all of our mail including our biometrics appointment letter.

1st time I attempted to change my address with USCIS, they sent me a letter (to my new address) a few weeks after telling me they could find any information on my applications.

I called them and they supposedly put in a service request to change my address.

I called many time to find out info on my applications and each time I found they still did not update my address. The service request to update my addess had been ignored for months.

December 2017, our former Landlord was kind enough to give us our mail that had continued going to the old address. My biometrics notice was there and I found that I had been scheduled for my biometrics back in mid October.

What really annoyed me is that I went to an infopass on November 6th 2017 and asked if I had missed my biometrics yet and I was told no! I don't understand how the agent at the field office could not see I missed my biometrics a month prior.

Tier 2 can tell you what has been mailed to you and when. I usually call to ask if I have been sent any RFEs, because I  am still worried about not receiving mail after what I've been through.

Also, none of my receipt numbers work in the Case status up till now.

I applied on June n next week Feb 26 is my biometric. Can you imagine that? 😪

Unbelievable!!!!! Why do you think that is?

    Where is your local office?

I applied in September and my biometrics was in December (only because I missed my original biometrics in October - the appointment letter was sent to my old address).

How have you stayed so patient? Did you raise any SR or call them to enquire about your case?

  11. They are so quick to cash our cheques, but then dump our applications to the side and keep us waiting for months.

I applied in September and have yet to receive my AP and EAD. It is my AP that is important to me because I really want to travel home before giving birth.

I am just going to forget about traveling home to the U.K next month.

This process is so frustrating. It is even worse for me that NONE my receipt numbers work on the case status site.

I was told by USCIS that EAD is handled by your local office?

I applied in August and havent heard a thing about either GC or EAD..... And my local office online say it is one of the fastest in the country.

I heard that EAD is handled by the NBC, I don't know what to believe now.

I think you should call up and open a service request, or better yet make an info pass appointment to find out what is going on.

    Hey there, folks.

I have a pending I-131 (travel document) for travel that I've got planned next month for the holidays. I filed the document request along with the EAD and AOS papers, and received a NOA1 on June 15th, 2017. This seems like plenty of advanced notice (6 months).

I still have not recieved any update on my case. I called customer support and they said it went to the National Benefits Center and referred me to their processing times. Their support was completely unhelpful.

The I-131 form is handled by so many different service centers, so I'm not sure what the correct processing time to look at is. The NBC says they're processing up to September, which would have already passed me. The I-131 was sent to the Chicago lockbox along with my AOS and EAD.

I totally understand your situation. EAD/AP are handled by the NBC and not your local office.

I am sure (well I hope) you have received your EAD/AP by now. If so, is there anything you did to get them to finally process your EAD/AP?

I am in the same situation, I haven't booked any flight tickets yet but I want to travel home in March.

Guys, just found this on Wikipedia. Has anyone used it recently?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Employment_authorization_document#Interim_EAD

    Interim EAD[edit]

An interim EAD is an EAD issued to an eligible applicant when USCIS has failed to adjudicate an application within 90 days of receipt of a properly filed EAD application or within 30 days of a properly filed initial EAD application based on an asylum application filed on or after January 4, 1995.[1] The interim EAD will be granted for a period not to exceed 240 days and is subject to the conditions noted on the document.

An interim EAD is no longer issued by local service centers. One can however take an INFOPASS appointment and place a service request at local centers, explicitly asking for it if the application exceeds 90 days and 30 days for asylum applicants without an adjudication.

Thanks I'm going to try this. Mainly for my AP though, I desperately want to travel back home in March.

My applications was received September 25th 2017 and all applications are still pending.

We are on day 130 and still no EAD!  We called USCIS last Friday. Talked to a very unfriendly person!  He told us to call back in 2 weeks. 😴 Very frustrating to say the least.

Can you kindly share the email address you contact to get a quick response on your EAD

If anyone knows the email address to contact to inquire about the EAD/AP, can you please share?

I have seen comments from a few people saying their EAD/ AP were approved after emailing.

  16. I have had the same error message when changing my address online. You should still be able to send the form despite the error message.

I'd advise you to call USCIS and change your address with them too.

Hopefully, this works out well for you. I've been attempting to change my address since last year October, I have tried every single way, but I find out USCIS is still hanging onto my old address and have been sending correspondence to my old address.
