  1. Hi! I called yesterday to USCIS to get a stamp to extend my 18 month extension that will expire in 30 days. I waited for maybe 1 hour on queue, and when someone answered, the representative said due to covid I would have to call 10 days before my extension expiration and they will schedule me for stamp.

I was supposed to be scheduled for my I751 interview last April, but due to covid, it was delayed. I'm still waiting for the new schedule, hopefully, before 10 days of expiration, they interviewed me already so I won't need the stamp.

Figured I'd share the news from the Dec 2018 filers thread:

Two people got case status updates to: Case ready to be scheduled for interview. Both have their local office in Chicago.

Maybe we'll see some updates like this soon in our group.

That's a good news, and kinda scary at the same time.. I am anxious about the interview and rfe..

Just an update, I had my biometrics today, I think I just spent like 15 mins there, very fast.

I think an RFE would come sometime down the road when it’s being looked at for an adjudication.

My husband’s friend also is going through the immigration process with his wife, and they have gotten rfe’s for both the I129F and the I-485, and both times it came closer to when they should have been getting an approval.

I see.. Crossfingers for no rfe..

Nothing. I did one of those requests online and it said it is within the processing times so basically told me to F off.

When you check your case online, what does the message say? I'm just wondering cause mine said they received my case and they sent me a receipt or notice of action, but if i don't receive it til march 3 that's when I need to call.. I wonder if you have the same message.

  5. BTW, in my case status shown on myuscis website, it says "On February 1, 2019, we received your Form I-751, Petition to remove conditions on residence, receipt number EAC, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how will we process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you don't receive your receipt notice by March 3,contact USCIS. "

What usually is in the receipt notice? Is this good or bad? I read some of your message that their case said in the beginning, like" you don't need to do anything at this time."

    What could be the difference?

  6. Hi again everyone. I just want to update my case too.  I didn't have the g-1145e for notifications so I called USCIS today to ask if they received my case and if I have my case number. I waited kinda long for the rep but the person I talked to was very helpful. I just gave my a# and my name, bday and country of birth, then he gave me my case number. I have EAC, I sent my packet to Dallas lockbox. So here's my ROC time line now.

I-175 packet sent from USPS  January 28, 2018

  8. Hello everyone, my window opened Dec 24, 2018, but I took my time completing my documents.. it's almost done, I think I can send it by tomorrow. We didn't have lots of things like others here have.. and i feel kinda inferior, we just recently opened joint bank account, last month, so only 1 statement for checking and savings account, my husband has a credit card that I'm on but I usually don't use it. I just put 3 statements from it. We don't have apartment lease on both of our names, I just recently asked our apartment management to add me on account, but I asked a letter from them to state that I'm added, and I asked our super to make an affidavit to attest that I live in the apartment since I came here. We just didn't think ahead of the requirements we'll need for ROC, we procrastinate with it.  I just tried to be creative on what we got. We didn't send every statements we have, only 3 or 4 samples, so my the file i'm sending is around 1 inch Here's my list, I'm kinda expecting RFE, but hopefully these will be enough.

Good luck to everyone here! I'll update my status after I send my document..

I was in much worst situation than yours. My wife and I were not living in the same state.

I did not submit any pictures and I did not bother submitting any bank statements because only my wife was using the joint bank account.

But my cover letter explained in detail our living condition and why we were both living in different states.

So you can only submit what you have. And you can always go open a joint bank account with you spouse, in case they ask you for more evidence.

This is what I sent and still got approved without RFE nor being interviewed.

+ A cover letter  explaining EXACTLY our living condition. I did not try to hide anything.

+ A letter from my contract with my employer specifying that, I will be off work 1 week every month to go see my wife.

+ Bunch of notice of assignments in different states ( Arizona, Utah, Texas,Virginia etc...😓😓😓) I have been moving all over this country and still is.

    + Joint Lease

+ BUNCH of plane tickets showing that I have been visiting my wife and vise versa

+ Joint Insurances (medical dental and vison) and medical bills showing we are both using the insurance.

+ Life insurance policy showing that my wife will be beneficiary if anything happens to me

    + Utility Bills

+ Tax (Filed as married but filed separately)

    +Bunch of credit cards statements.

I hope this will help you

That's very good to hear, congrats in both of you. Makes me more hopeful about my case. Thank you for your reply.

Well you can only send what you can. But is there a way that you can get on the bank account now? Better late than never.

Do you have any car loans in both of your names?  Bills in each others names or in one persons name and a bill in another? (Like a cable bill in your name for the house and an electric bill in your SO's name for the house, shows the same location).

Thank you for your reply. We have utility bills, the internet is on his name on the first year and we cancelled it and transfer on my name the next year after that, he's got electric bill under his name. We don't have car loans or cars. I'll add the utility bills on my evidence. And yeah, I guess we'll open a joint bank account. We have been talking about it and always postponing. We will open it as soon as he got back from his training at work on other state. Thank you.

Do you guys know if its true that every case now has interview starting 2018 due to Trump's administration?

  11. Hello everyone,

I am really nervous about my application to remove my condition this coming December 25 2018. I am anxious because I don't know if we will have enough documents to show as proof of marriage.

These are the legal documents that we have so far : 2016 and 2017 tax returns, joint health insurance for 2017, 2018 ,also one for 2019. I am on one of my husband's credit card, but we don't have a joint bank account. We don't have apartment lease that we have on both of our names but our apartment management office can give us a letter to say that we live together in the apartment. I will also ask for our super to write an affidavit to prove that we are living in the apartment together since 2016. As for affidavits, we have few friends we can ask for it and my mother and father in law.

We have tons of pictures together, travel documents, flights and hotel itinerary. We also joined some activities that show on tickets that we have our names on like NYC Bike Tour, Keto Fest 2018, F1 race in Mexico. Some events doesn't have our names on like some concert and Broadway shows we attended. We also have costco and BJs membership together.

My worries are we don't have joint savings and checking account. I regret I didn't do it, I thought my name riding on his credit card should be enough, and the apartment lease wasn't on joint as well but apartment management would give us letters. Will my evidence be enough to show that our marriage is bonafide?

Thanks in advance for your replies. I am just very anxious.

  12. Hi visa journey people, I am really confused and I need help.. I would like to share a little background of me. So

I came here in the US aug 17, 2016 in k1 visa,

    got married Nov 7, 2016

Sent aos application dec 12, 2016

    Did biometrics today jan 18,2017

I just noticed today that i lost my passport cause i wanted to carry it with me on my biometrics, but since i couldn't find it,, i just took my State ID with me. And i went to the biometrics without any problems.

The last time i saw my passport was when i was sending my aos application dec 12, i just realized it today. I thought it was just sitting safe in my stash, but i think i left it while i was scanning it on staples.  I already went to staples and they advised me to call the usps cause they said they send govt ids to usps to send it back to the owner. But passport doesn't have my current address.

I tried to call the usps but they advised me to call the passport agency to report my passport lost or stolen.  I will go tomorrow and try my luck in the local usps where the staples send the ids.

Anyway, my main concern is, if ever i will have interview, will it be a big problem if i lost my passport? Will they deny me or delay the process if i don't show my passport?

    What should i do?

Help me please.. Thank you so much for your reply.
