    Hello,

My EAD request reached 100 days :(

Based on my SR (call I made on Day 90) I got this message from USCIS today:

"The status of this service request is:

Your case is currently under review.  You should receive a decision or notice of other action shortly".

This is very frustrating 🙁 today afternoon we received the correct information of our congressman, I will submit the forms this weekend asking for help.

Hey, it's the same email that I received on Thursday morning, then in the evening, my status changed to new card being produced. It should come no longer than Monday or Tuesday. Be hopeful.

    Thank you very much!

    My I-485 process was:

-- We accepted your fingerprint fee

-- We mailed a request for initial evidence

-- We received your response to our Request for Evidence

-- We scheduled you for your initial interview and mailed you an interview notice

    -- We updated your name

-- We ordered your new card

-- We mailed your new card

    Good luck to you!!!

    Congratsss!!:)

I was just wondering, how many days after calling USCIS to open a service request, did you receive the update that your card is being produced?

Thanks! Yes, I did the service request online on a Thursday last week, then on Monday this week I called, after the routine questions the man that I had on the phone told me I had a request pending so I should at least 5 days to have an answer. Then yesterday I got the notification.

  4. Hello everyone, it has been a while that i posted or checked in VJ, i just wanted to stay away a little bit as this whole process is stressing, in order to take care of me and my new family here. So doing my things home, i just received the app notification " a new card has being ordered' this happens on day 107. and after i made an online service request and a call. So congrats to all of you that have your cases approved, and again for those waiting, hang in there...i know its hard but there's nothing else to do besides waiting and passed the 90 days, make an online request, call...but it will certainly come. Good luck to all of us

Ok it's day 63 for me and I've been good all this time. And trying to stay positive. At least in my opinion,my husband's might think differently though.. 😂

I really hope I'm not the only one being obsessed with checking their stays on the USCIS site and/or app? I've settled it up to get emails and text messages but still need to check at least 3 times a day. Just in case. 😅And I also know that they don't update their site sometimes. I had that with my K1 visa. So the postman is eagerly awaited in this house too.. 😂 ow well just trying to see the humor in my craziness.

Hope everyone is having an amazing day!

Haha Kimberley you're not the only one believe me!!

Someone on this forum has mentioned that she was not asked for her marriage certificate even though her passport is still  in her maiden name. I, for one, was asked to present mine due to the last name disparity on my passport and on my bio letter.

So I think the process depends on the ASC location and its employees. The best answer, for me, is to bring the marriage certificate. It is like a condom; better to have one and not need it than not have one and need it. 😀

Hahahah!! Exactly like a condom! 😂😂😂

This is not necessary. They did not ask for my marriage certificate and the biometrics letter says to bring the letter only and proof of ID. I did take my marriage certificate with me because my name changed so the name in my passport and the biometrics letter were different and even then they did not ask me for it.

Also this is not specific to K-1 visa at all, a lot of people are adjusting status based on marriage that have not entered the country on a K-1.

I think I am also a little annoyed that my marriage certificate got a little wet in the corner because it was a rainy day <_<

Even though the bio letter doesn't mention to bring it, its important to have it with you because its the proof of legal name change, if you had your name changed of course, and spare you the time waisting in the manager's office for a name check. Hahaha yes it's for everyone adjusting from marriage based.

    Thabks for your response!

I only received the NOA for i130 & i485.... I guess it will come later?

i had the same issue too. so they sent me the NOA for AOS and EAD, not for AP. it came in mail like 2 weeks later, after i even had my biometrics. My case status said the letter was returned to them because the post office couldn't deliver it to my address...seriously? so USCIS sent it directly to me.

Hi all! My biometrics appointment is today at 11am. I arrived a little past 10:30 and now at 10:59, I am out of the ASC. The staff at USCIS Norridge, IL were extremely proficient and polite.

Note: If your only form of ID is your passport which is still in your maiden (unmarried) name, bring your marriage certificate with you as well. 🙂

    Have a good day, everyone!

That's exactly what i was going to write! Bring your marriage certificate if adjusting from marriage based. I did mine yesterday in Houston ASC. Went well.

  11. Immigration is nothing but a waiting game. Patience is the key word. No choice or nothing else you can do if the number of the days they ask you to take action have not passed. So, try really try to enjoy your new life, read, workout, craft just do something that would make you forget about all that. I know its a bit frustrating when you go to your mailbox and not find any interesting mail, you're like ''whyyyyy :-(( haha.. but what else can you do besides waiting. Hang in there, the best is to come. Y'all have a great weekend!
