August 2018 filer here.  I filed for Naturlization last July and I got my Interview scheduled for October 29th,  hoping for combo interview.  But I wanted to share for those that are thinking on filing N-400 with I-751 pending.

I just want to add here that my online USCIS case status hasn't changed since last year, it still says "we received your case". Also, today I received the approve letter. When I got the green card 3 years ago, at least online case status update was accurate, but now I dont know. I just wanted to share with you all.

Just got the biometrics reuse letter, along with a WORKING SRC receipt number that I can finally look up several months later. 'Fingerprint Review Was Completed'.

I was super worried about biometrics since it took them SEVEN MONTHS to get back to me on that. To add insult to injury, they're not refunding the bio fee. C'est la vie.

I guess next stop, interview (maybe).

SRC friends! I got notification today that My fingerprints review was completed! I did not even get notice to get biometrics. The last notification was the 18-month extension letter. I guess they just used my old fingerprints taken two years ago.

    Fingers crossed for you all!

According to the USCIS lady I spoke to. She said as of this September, they were working on April and that means 9/18 filers will hear back by February.

There are people in August 2018 still waiting for their greencard.

    Hello,
My husband and I applied for removal of conditions I-751 in March 2019, our interview is in 2 days.
We previously got scheduled for an interview in August, but then received a letter that it got cancelled and about 2 weeks later got another one scheduled.
Any tips for interview? What to expect?
    We are in Massachusetts.
    Thanks!

We just closed on a house in June with an extension letter for my husband and had zero issues! We thought he might have problems so we scheduled an infopass to try to get him a stamp in his passport but they wouldn’t give it to him and the lady working said they cannot legally deny you a loan because of the extension letter. We told our loan officer right away and all he did was scan a copy of the letter and green card and everything worked out. Not sure if going through a credit union helped.

We just bought a house closing in November. I provided the extension letter and it was no problem.

Yes. And I think you should put in a request.  There is nothing to lose at this point

    Of course!
Go to the new USCIS website and log in. Under Resources click Ask About Missing Mail. Then click Non-Delivery of Notice. From there just fill in the blanks and explain what notice you are missing. We wrote something along the lines of "We received out NOA1 on 3/4/19 and our case was transferred to NBC on 3/14. We have not received our biometric appointment letter yet. Can you please send this? Thank you".

The first time we did the request in May we never heard back from them and ended up calling USCIS to inquire about the status. We spoke to a tier 2 officer who said that once they get closer to making a decision on your case, they'll send out the biometrics notice because they expire after 5 months (however I thought fingerprints expired after 15 months). I believe that was in in June she told us to wait and put in another service request if we haven't received the appointment by by September. They did send out a duplicate notice of the case transfer, but that was it.
Then we went ahead and put in another service request in July because so many others were receiving their biometrics appointment.
    Good luck!

You're welcome! I was told it was taking around 6 months to send out the biometrics notice and encouraged to follow up in September if we hadn't received the notice by then.  Hopefully, we'll start seeing some movement in all of our cases soon

SRC here! Our updates have stopped as well, but today USPS Informed Delivery shows we have a letter coming from USCIS  We put in a service request in July 10th, but have not heard anything back yet and case status still shows that it was transferred to our local office.

    Hello everyone,
Visajourney has been a great help to us with the immigration stuff so in return id like to share our i751 interview to everyone wondering what and how it goes.
Since most are probably gonna go through the interview due to the recent changes i hope it helps.
Interview schedule was at 8:55am but we arrived and went in at 8am.
Screening (like the ones on the airport, emptying your pockets, belt and watches on trays and then shoes off) [We did not bring our phones inside since usually its like that with immigration interviews, but the moment we were waiting in the reception area we saw several using their phones even if there's a sign saying no using mobile phones while waiting🤣]
Reception (where you will give your appointment letter just the 1st page, then wait for your name to be called)
8:30am we got called in. Swear to an oath etc etc .  He asked for our ids (we gave our driver's license), my expired green card and asked us documents wed like to submit. Then the interview. Here are some of the questions arranged accdg to how the interview went
    1. You have a child together?
    2. Can i have the birth certificate? (They want the copy and original, they will double check stuff from the copy you gave that day to the copy you first submitted to the original)
    3. So tell me, how did you guys meet? (Literally what he asked us)
    4. When did you start seeing each other?
    5. When did you meet each others relatives?
    6. How long have you been living with each other? Who is living with you?
    7. Have you been on a vacation recently? (He asked us twice in between these questions)
    8. Tell me, who were with you on these vacation?
    9. Did you stay at a hotel?where did you go?
    10. Who paid for this trip?
    11. So where is your spouse working? (This is where it seems like the officer was really testing me how well i knew my spouse)
    12. Whats his position? (He then asked my spouse the nature of work)
    13. Does your spouse work overtime?
    14. What's your spouse's annual income?
    15. How much rent do you pay? (Because i gave the lease contract late)
    16. Who pays the rent? How long are you living in this address?
    17. Do you host parties at your house? (He was joking since our address has a "fiesta" in it)
    16. How old is your child?
    17. When is her birthday?
    18. So i want you to face each other and in 30 secs tell each other what made you decide to marry? (I was so nervous i just started saying whatever comes to mind that i liked and loved about my spouse)
    19. So lets just go over your file.. ( this time i knew we were almost done) he just asked about whats in your i751 application so make sure you memorized everything from your name to your bday, to your socials, address, spouse bday, children's names and bdays etc..
He then turned his back and gave us a letter saying our application is approved and green card will be delivered in mail after 1month to 90days.
9:10am we were out the room and back to the reception where the lady was congratulating us probably because of the big smile on our faces.

My only advise is try to relax and be calm. Smile at your interviewer. Adjust to his/her pace and mood, if he's in a lighter mood smile from time to time. They can feel it if your lying or being truthful. Regarding documents we submitted, we gave him latest copies of our bills, most recent photos, lease contract (which was specifically asked on our interview appointment letter), tax documents, health, life and car insurance copies.
Hope you guys got an idea of the interview from our experience😊

    Hi all! Just another update:

We had our interview yesterday August 7 (Guam Time/ChST). Just a little background on our case, my husband and I have been together for over 7 years, have one child together, neither of us has ever been divorced and we are still together. The IO first verified all of the information on the I-751 form including SS numbers, date of birth and addresses. The IO mainly asked us about the co-mingling of our finances and our recent change of address. One thing I did notice though is that it seemed that they did a little background check with the bank prior to the interview. I opened a new savings account after we had filed our ROC and she asked me about the money transfers between our joint savings and my new account. Anyway, her questions were mainly to clarify how we handle our finances and if we have access to each other's separate savings account. We were also asked about our recent travels and change of address.

Finally, she asked if we had anything new that we want to add to our case. We only gave her a few family photos from our recent vacation. And that was it!

She didn't confirm if I was approved or not and only said that she needs to do a bit more admin work on my case. But she did advise me of the processing time for getting the new card, etc.

This morning (Aug 8 Guam time), I checked my status and it said "Interview was Cancelled" (very briefly, but had me worried!) and then changed to Case was Approved!

Thank you to everyone else who shared their experiences (reading yours had helped me prepare for my own petition) and good luck to everyone who's still on this journey
