  1. Update:

On November 20, 2019 my WAC case was transferred.

Case Status: "Case Transferred and new Office has Jurisdiction"

I don't know to where yet.

I am just happy it is not in the California limbo anymore.
I checked the Workload Transfer Updates and there is no note of transfer on November 20, no I am assuming my case was transferred to my local office because I applied for Citizenship on October 28, 2019.

BTW the status changed in the Case Status Online (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do), but not on https://myaccount.uscis.gov/

Activating notifications on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/displayLogon.do is very useful.

I am California and still waiting. I wonder if just to be more patient and what are the odds of getting approved by end of year. I haven't called USCIS and case tracker is still stuck at Fingerprint Fee Received on October 22, 2018.

Hi! I'm an CSC applicant still waiting too.

Considering the Processing Time for CSC is currently 16 to 21.5 months, our cases will be processed between February and July/ August 2020:unsure:

I've tried to use the VJ Timeline tool  to see where the CSC actually is in terms of processing, but with so many transferred cases, it's impossible.

So I decided to create this thread. Check it out:

  3. With the cases being transferred it's impossible to use VisaJourney's Timeline tool to see who is in the same Service Center, so I wanted to create this thread to see who else has their I-751 being processed in California. Please share in your monthly threads, so we can have as as much information as possible.

When did you apply? Was it approved already? When?

    I will start by myself:

    Filed: October 18, 2018

Did biometrics in July and now, almost 13 months after, still waiting.

  4. I just talked to a representative on the live chat and they told me things I already knew like :"You can get an idea of how long it will take to process your case from the processing time table available on our website at egov.uscis.gov/processing-times." and "Yes, you may file for naturalization once you have been a permanent resident for three years and you have been married to a U.S. citizen for three years and remain married to him or her. However, your application for naturalization cannot be approved until your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, is approved."

My I-751 is still showing as "Fingerprint Review was completed".

Here is how to reach the live chat: Ask Emma> type "Connect to Live Chat"> click on "Case Status"> choose "Connect to Live Chat".

    Thanks @ascazubi

My I-751 case is in California, now between 16 and 21.5 months for processing times, which would push my approval to sometime btw February and July 2020.:(

In January I changed my address and I did the Biometrics in July, no RFE and no transfer.

Has anyone of the California filers been approved yet?

My status online is still on Fingerprints fee received, even if I had my fingerprints done in July....

Are you checking the status in https://myaccount.uscis.gov/? My status there shows "Fingerprint Review Was Completed". And when I check on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do it shows "Fingerprint Fee Was Received".

I applied in California and even though I moved to the Midwest in January and then applied for Citizenship in October no movement was made about my I-751. I am still hoping that after I do the Biometrics for the n-400 they will transfer my I-751.

Quick question for October filers? Which documents did you upload for online filing? Thanks.

There is a Document Checklist here (link extracted from https://www.uscis.gov/n-400). For the "Documents referring to you and your spouse" part, even though the checklist stated either tax return transcripts or "Tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages or birth certificates of children", the online form kind of suggests that you submit copies of all of the documents that might help your case (which makes sense), so in my case I went ahead and submitted everything that I had.

The Guide to Naturalization also has some useful information, like this: "Note that unless a traffic incident was alcohol or drug related, you do not need to submit documentation for traffic fines and incidents that did not involve an actual arrest if the only penalty was a fine of less than $500 and/or points on your driver's license."

When did you move to the Midwest?

It's been 9 months since I've moved. I changed my address with USCIS properly and all.

With California so backed up and so many cases from California being transferred, I just wanted to estimate, in case they do transfer my I-751 because of the N-400, when that might happen.

Was your I-751 transferred after applying for N-400? Or do you know someone who had this happen to them?

I believe that there are several relatively current postings where the N-400 was approved, yet the ROC has not yet been adjudicated.....Can you say USCIS is messed up.

One thing, you have to do is proper change of address with USCIS and USPS.

    https://www.uscis.gov/addresschange

Thanks! I am aware of this risk and I am taking my chances. Yes, USCIS has some issues... I've had problems with them before, you can see in my timeline, so my expectations are in check. I did change my address properly too.

  9. How long after applying for Citizenship does it take for USCIS to transfer the I-751 case?

I applied for Removal of Conditions in California, so I am eternally waiting (12+ months and counting). Then, in October 28 I submitted my application for Citizenship and now I'm in the Midwest. I've seen some cases here of people who had their I-751 case transferred after submitting n-400. I am wondering if and when it will happen for me.

Check this (source here): "VJ strongly discourages the use of google docs for monthly filer threads; there are privacy concerns as they are not administered by VJ, so others can potentially see your Google login and from that other info about you and your loved ones, and there is also the potential loss of all the data if the original creator of a doc removes it from their drive. Please use the threads themselves or the VJ wiki, for your data gathering needs."

  12. My I-751 is still pending. Is it better to wait to apply for N-400 or just do it already?

I see some of you waited the ROC approval. Why?

Also, I moved from the West Coast to the Midwest and changed my address with USCIS, but my I-751 is still being processed in California. If I apply for N-400 now, what are the chances of my I-751 being transferred?

Also, how do we request the combo interview?

Hi! We created a  WAC timeline document and it includes a 2018 tab. I know you have a timeline going on in the October 2018 filers comments but if you share in the document, it would also make it more visible to filers from other months. Thanks! And wishing a speedier approval.

  15. Hi!

Part 9 of the N-400 form. I traveled to Guam (US territory) with a connection through South Korea.

Since the moment the airplane took off from the US and the moment the plane landed in Guam it was a total of 19 hours. But because of the time zone difference, my departure from the US was on Wednesday (local time of the place where I left) and my arrival on Guam was on Friday (local time of Guam). Do USCIS round up everything to the same time zone or not?

Also, is the departure and landing time the right thing to consider? If not, what time should I consider leaving and re-entering the US in order to count 24 hour periods outside the country? Is it the boarding time? Is it the time I pass through immigration? Is it the time I passed through security?
