On December 14 when I spoke to the immigration officer she told me that my biometric was reused and my case was requested for an interview. Then on the 15 of December I check my case and I saw a notice that says my biometric was reused. ( under the document section). I will also receive that notice in the mail. However, I’m just practicing my civics test because I’m assuming my interview will be soon. Just go ahead and study for your test since you know you won’t need a biometric anymore. I’m not worried about the I751 because I’m sure the immigration officers know that it is there. That is where they took my biometric from anyway. Lol

I am WAC and since MARCH 2019 it says, we are scheduling your interview, which hasn't happened yet and I have filed N400 in March 2020 as well. Its very frustrating and depressing... How many of you March Filers are still waiting for ROC? Just wanted to know that I am not alone...

My N-400 (March 2020 ) & I - 751 (Mar 2019) was approved at Newark office. Oath ceremony was on same day. It was a combo and easy interview. We had interview letter only for N 400. We are MSC *****.

Thank you for all your help . God bless!

USCIS call center representative will only proceed if your extension letter is expiring within 10 days otherwise they will ask you to call back. They are driving me crazy for a stamp and I really need to travel due to a family emergency and its truly a messed up system due to Covid19. Once you call USCIS, representative tells you to expect a call within 5 business days but in my case they didn't bother to call me back, called them 3 times and every time after hourly long hold, after verifying each and everything they give you same lollipop. When you tell them you were told to expect a call, they tell you,Officer wrote reason for not calling back because there is no appointment available. I was requesting them I can go to any other location if there is any appointment available but they refused that only closest to your postal code can serve you. Now another tier 2 officer will call me in 5 working days and then I have to prove through documents via email that's its an emergency and then within 5 days they would call me back, if TIER 2 approves then that officer would schedule an appointment and then I can get a stamp No walk-ins regardless you have an emergency and no appointment unless you have an emergency and good luck proving them. Feeling so depressed but don't see any other solution except going round and round. Cherry on to (Tier 2s are available only b/w 8 am to 1pm with an average hold time is 1 hour plus.
I was wondering if I travel on expired letter, Would I be able to get a stamp from US Embassy in my home country? By any chance on way back cant they verify my status at airport that I am lawful permanent resident. I need seniors help regarding this emergency travel, do I have any other option? Please help me with your knowledge.

So without confirmed appointment security doest let you in, doesnt matter its Emergency or whatever, they have instructions to let through people with appointments only. I went on my appointment day (28th Sep) a little earlier and they sent me back and asked me to come only 15 minutes earlier. After clearing the security there was another officer was confirming appointments outside the office (2nd floor) and he matched my appointment time and name and then let me go inside the office. Then 3rd checkpoint where my picture was taken and scanned my both hands index fingers and verified my expired Green card and then finally I was in the line for my turn. Officer didnt ask anything, just requested my Valid Passport and GC (which she confiscated after giving me I-551 Stamp on my passport (valid for a year) The whole process barely took less than 5 minutes and even asked about my case status which she checked and asked me to expect a combo interview in coming months. She said system has requested Bio-metrics for N-400 and you are in line for finger scans. The whole Crew at Sacramento USCIS Office was nice and they greeted nicely plus they were helpful throughout the process. I hope it helps

In these covid times walk in is a little no. I had a hard time getting in when I had an emergency appointment, I can't imagine them allowing walk ins. I'm not sure why they are giving you such a hard time I got an appointment when offices weren't even open -heights of pandemic in April- I'd suggest you keep trying. And if you're desperate enough, the worst that could happen with a walk in is they don't allow you in but at least you tried.

One could be this much lucky and I am struggling in California and they are continuously denying me with a simple pre written email that I dont qualify for an info pass appointment. I am soc sick of it, they say that they are only scheduling for emergency purposes. God they are so mean, I bought tickets in January and then covid happened and now flight operation resume and have whole family rescheduled $4000 worth tickets because if we dont travel within 12 months, they will expire. Here comes the USCIS pain in the a**, so rude and cold hearted people who are trying their best to hush me away from appointment. First they were giving me excuse that come within 10 days expiry and now I dont qualify for emergency criteria. I would appreciate if you share your experience that what on earth you told them that you got it, please share your tips, suggestions welcome lols I am losing my mind seriously

So, here's what we did. We contacted our congressional representative and they said they made some calls and emails for us. However, I think what got us the emergency infopass appointment without any of the documents they require was that we kept calling and calling. We spent 54 hours on hold, talking to tier 1 and tier 2 USCIS representatives, and trying to get help from outside USCIS. Sadly, in the US, immigrating is like a full time job. They want to deny you, but if you're patient and persistent, you can get an infopass appointment. So, my advice is to keep calling to the point that you've bothered them enough that they just give you the appointment.

Yesterday, we got a phone call from a Tier 2 USCIS rep and he approved our emergency infopass meeting to get the I-551 stamp without any extra paperwork from work, need to travel abroad, or medical needs. Just keep calling every other day, keep telling the Tier 2 rep that they keep telling you you'll get an appointment, but they keep cancelling. Do whatever you can to bother them enough that its easier for them to give you an appointment than it is to keep denying you.

I'm sorry you're having so much trouble. This country has always treated immigrants like second class citizens. It's a real shame. I'll be praying that you get your appointment, inshallah!

Once you filed your N-400, you should expect to have a combo interview, the cases around yours are no longer accurate, because it will depend on  how quick your local office can schedule your N-400 interview. I only saw one or two people had their I-751 approved while they still waiting for their N400 interview.

Just got the notice in my email today that my new card is being produced! I filed near the end of March 2019, had biometrics in November 2019, and had no movement on my case at all until just now. I guess I get to skip the interview!. SRC is my service center. I hope everyone else starts to see movements

I feel I am really close to getting approval, I see so much activity on i751 cases close to mine. Two even got approved today.  I don’t want to delay it anymore by applying for citizenship. As the case will have to transferred and I heard with the virus, no New citizenship applications are being approved. Its been 13 months, I really don’t want cause anymore delay.

Its totally your choice, you can wait for I-751 approval but in the end you have to do it anyway and in many cases N-400 takes up-to a year duration for approval etc So why not cut the waiting time short and apply for N-400 while your case is pending for I-751. This can become a Combo and in some cases USCIS merges both interviews together. (they will still approve I-751 first even in combo & then approve N-400) Yes you can file N-400 after 3rd year window opens (same 90 days prior rule applies here as well) you will need to upload documents such as GC, marriage certificate and other to prove once again that this marriage is bonafide.
It is pretty straightforward so nothing to worry about, then there is a payment of a little bit more than $700 that can be done online so I would really suggest you doing it as soon as possible to get it over and have a peace of mind. You can make a folder in your computer and can gather all documents in scanned form like Tax Returns, Kids Birth certificates, Bank statements front covers and mutual assets to prove your marriage legit, though majority of the documents would be the same which you already have sent for  I-751 but uploading them online is way more convenient than sending them through mail.
    All the Best 👍
