That's a great news guys!!!
I think if her interview is early in the AM she might have the Oath ceremony the same day.
Mine was later than the last Oath ceremony that day. Then I had to wait a month . I think they usually have them in the mornings.
Good luck - you guys are almost there!!!
Keep me posted

Congrats @Lezzyme1979 on the interview!!
I am not sure if it's common or not, but I was scheduled only for N-400 while had I-751 pending.
I received a call (5 days before my N-400 appointment) from USCIS informing me to have my husband accompany me to the interview because they had to adjudicate ROC before my Naturalization.
Hopefully you will hear from them but I would definitely plan on going to he interview with your wife!!
One last step guys!! yeey
So we finally heard from USCIS regarding my wife's interview. They said to bring SPOUSE during the interview. I hope all will go well that day and she will have her oath taking done at the same day.

Hello Everyone,
We are also Feb 2019 filers, got our ROC Card in Jan 2020 and my wife applied for N-400 last Sept. 18, 2020 online.
Her biometrics done on Jan 4, 2021
Interview date: Feb. 18, 2021
Is it common now to get an interview and oath taking combo? I tried contacting USCIS if I need to be there in case she will have her oath taking at the same day as her interview, but no response yet.
Thank you guys and good luck in our journey. We are almost done 😀

just the message that it will be scheduled since june. long process. we will file for citizenship in four months,
When can you file the N400?
Is it 3 years after you received your Temp Residence Card?
It says online:
Naturalization Eligibility Requirements
Be a permanent resident (have a “Green Card”) for at least 5 years.

I am from Guam and I applied for K1 for my now wife. WE are in the process of ROC, she's doing her biometrics on Friday.
Guam has one of the fastest processing time. Once Guam USCIS office receives your paper work from the main processing center, it will be a breeze once it hits Guam.
Good luck

Hello, to answer your questions:
1. The oath will be held on a different day. Depending on their schedule, you might only be able to wait for a few days after the interview.
2. The Rev and Tax process the passports and yes they can expedite your passport, however, they will still have to send the paper work in Hawaii. Expedited doesn't mean 3 business days. It would be longer.
3. My interviewer was really nice. He asked me 5 questions from the 100 questions they ask you to studio. He also made me read. Basically, the interviewer just wants to know if you can fully understand and speak English.

Finally, my wife got her bio appointment schedule for 9/6.
She has the LIN number.

Since your check was processed you are on your way. Go back and check proper email address and /or cell phone number. Give them at least 30 days but you are evidently in the system. Any little issue can delay notification. Check your spam folder as well.. Best of luck!
Thank you. For some reason I looked at the back of the check that my bank posted after it cleared from USCIS and that's where I found the LIN number.
I never gotten any paper work yet, but when I check the status online, it's showing that it was received and they sent us the paperwork in the mail on the 28th. I''ll check my mail tomorrow
Hopefully we have an NOA1 there and the extention since we are traveling in May and my wife's green card expired on May 15th
If anyone is on the same boat as me and wondering if USCIS processed your documents and you paid via check,
look at the back of your check that your bank posts when it clears for your record. USCIS will put your receipt number...
Good luck everyone! Now the waiting game starts

Hello everyone!
Sent our documents on Feb 19 and USCIS received it on Feb. 25th. March 6th, the check was electronically processed. But I haven't received any notification via text or email that they received. Do they have to wait till the check clears before they send us anything?
Any input will be greatly appreciated.

It's super easy. Don't be nervous, they pick up on it and might think you're hiding something.
They will ill ask you about how you met, then ask you to answer yes or no questions. Then they asked my wife were we lived, she gave him our address and that's it.
i gave them our 2016 joint tax.
The CO then said, I'm going yo approve your application pending the background check. And that's it.
good luck on your interview!
Opps, didn't realized you already had your interview lol
congrats!

This was base on my own experience.
i was married in the Philippines to a Canadian citizen, he filed for divorce in Canada. I took the divorce decree to DFA for them to acknowledge that I am divorce and then took it to NSO, they then gave me a copy of my marriage certificate with a stamp stating, the marriage was divorced.
If remembered it correctly, they then gave me a certificate saying married but divorced, not sure if it's the cenomar or Cemar.
at that time, we were applying for K1 visa and took that document to the embassy. They never gave me a problem. I was approved with K1 visa

Hi Guys! Does anybody know if the EAD can be used as a valid form of ID?
My wife uses it before she got her greencard. And they didn't have any problem with the EAD.
Now she uses her greencard.

Thank you everyone! We would not be able to bear the stress without this thread. It helped us kept going knowing that we are not the only one experiencing the stress and dilemna of AOS.
So I checked our case status online and it now says
"New Card Is Being Produced
On May 14, 2017, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC**************, and will mail it to the address you gave us." Guam is a day ahead. Although our interview was May 15, but in the states, it was still May 14. They updated the status 8 hours after the interview. Looks like the background checks out. Didn't expect the AOS to be this fast under 100 days.

Interview Experience
We went to our interview and the Interviewer was really nice. He asked us how we met, then, he said, do you have any updated documents, I gave him the joint income tax that we filed for 2016. Then he asked my wife a series of questions from the initial form we submitted. Like "if you're a terrorist or held a gun or bringing goods for sale" and so on, just answerable by yes or no. Then he did something on the computer and told us that, I don't see any problem here, and I'll approve your application pending the background check. Background check is for 24 hours, so he said, he can approve our application tomorrow and we should be getting my wife's green card within 2 weeks.
Finally we can stop stressing lol.
Good luck everyone!
