Anybody here with IL? the Dominican FB group is still quiet.

I remain hopeful but skeptical. I saw those post from China but seems to be from fake accounts. I'm hoping I'm wrong.

That's cool and very useful. You guys should post more and be our guiding light 😆😎
Hahah the thing is that Dominicans don't use VJ that much since there is an FB group with almost 20,000 members posting and helping each other. They only speak Spanish tho.

😁 But it was you that I had this discussion with, wasn't it? And what do you think, is my impression correct?
I know we have spoken in the past, but I don't remember discussing fake posts. And yes, your impression is correct

I must add that for the past few months, people from the Dominican republic have gotten their interview appointments by phone several days earlier than everybody else. And sure enough couple of people from DR reported getting interviews last Friday. Unfortunately they receive a lot of suspension because they can't provide "evidence". I watched this happen for at least 4 months now, we even had a small discussion here whether some posts on Facebook were real, and those posts belonged exactly to people from DR who reported their interviews very early on.
Yup, Dominicans don't wait for interview letters to arrive in the mail, we call 5 times a day to ask 🤣.

Nonsense 😋 Plenty of people received ILs already.
Really??, I guess it's only the D.R. that it's left behind. Thanks for the info

Any F2A interview letters for the next visa bulletin? I'm afraid it won't move at all.

If you go back on the thread, there have been a couple of Jan and 1 Feb NOA2 being reported to my knowledge.
Hi,
I want to know about NVC Welcome Letter, not USCIS NOA2.
-
Any Jan-2017 Welcome Letter?
-
I have a question about this....
What if you go to the interview with a recent/official (Single Status Certificate/non-marital status certificate/Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage) or however it's called in your country proving right then and there that you are in fact not married.
I wonder if that actually would help people in this situation?

Any Jan-2017 with NVC Welcome Letter?

I enjoy when you tell mods what is and isn't allowed on VJ. 😅
Isn't Forum shopping a legal term lol?

You want to stay in a house/apartment with no power in the middle of the summer and get upset that you can't because you are drunk?
- So what happened? the cops arrived, took your wife away and you stayed with the baby alone, being highly intoxicated in a house/apartment with no power?
- Your wife accidentally scratches your face and you decide to call the cops because you are drunk?
- You miss the first court appearance just because something came up at work? you are not drunk at this point and this incident had the potential to derail your life and you still miss the court appearance?????. (I know they can reschedule but come on!!)
- and on top of all of that, you guys are still planning/going ahead with a trip to DR?
What I see here is a lot of lack of judgment, even when the alcohol is not involved. Please listen to everybody here and cancel your travel plans for now.

Thanks for your replies,
@Jojo92122, Do you know if that counts as electronic processing, I know that some countries can't do electronic processing and the DR is one of those.
Thanks!

Hi All,
My F2A petition for my wife was approved and it's on it's way to NVC, I have two babies (twins) that were born after the petition was submitted. I'm confused as to when should I request the NVC to add the babies to the case.
I was reading this step: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/interview/applicant-interview.html
"Can my children also receive immigrant visas, even if they were not originally part of the case? - If the immigrant visa category in which you are applying includes derivative children, your qualified unmarried children under the age of 21 may be added as derivative applicants after your interview has been scheduled. Contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate for specific instructions. At the interview, the additional applicant(s) will be required to pay the same fees and submit the same forms and supporting documents as you."
- Does that mean that I should submit their inclusion after my wife has her interview letter in hand?
- When do I pay the fees for the babies? they make it sound like if pay and fill the DS260 at the embassy which sounds strange.
Is somebody has any experience with adding derivative children please help and share your experience?
Thanks!!

Yes, I am talking about that website. I just want to make sure the new one isn't fraud. I initially received an email/text message when my I-130 was received and then started tracking it on the old website. I just want to make sure my case is really approved.
Do you know when the new website was created.
Yes, that website is legit and No, I don't when it was created but I can tell you that that's the one that they are updating. I do believe that your case was approved, Congratulations!!

When you say newer one, are you talking about https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov?
I know that some people have had their cases completed and the https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do still says "received". It looks like they are not updating that one anymore, is there a reason why you need to see it there?
