Thanks for the information, just want to confirm is that the same portal in which USCIS update your case and you can track your case# anytime or is this totally different.

I'm not 100% certain, but it looks like they are updating that system and leaving the other one behind.  I know of people that already have the 'Case Complete' and https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do doesn't say anything but https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ does.

    Weird.

    Hello,

My wife has her visa interview scheduled for 8/8/18. She went to get her medical examination done in Lahore, Pakistan on 7/21/18. They told her that her examination results would be available same by 7pm.

The clinic called her in the evening of 7/21/18 telling her that in her chest x-ray they noticed something. They asked her to come back to the clinic for further testing where she would have to go into the clinic for three days in a row and provide mucus samples for TB testing. Mucus testing for TB is done for active TB, however, my wife has ZERO symptoms of TB. The mucus testing for TB takes anywhere between 1 to 8 weeks, they are telling my wife it will take 2 months for the results to come back and they will send the result to embassy directly.

Has anyone else experience this? What do we do? The clinic hasn't told anything else to her and we are panicking now. What will happen to the interview that she has scheduled for next month? Will they reschedule it? How would they reschedule it? Will we have to contact embassy or the clinic will contact them?

Could we get a medical examination done at another approved clinic? And ask for faster results?

Any suggestions or information here would be extremely appreciated.

I'm so sorry that this is happening to you guys, I have a personal friend that went through exactly the same issue. The first thing is to make an appointment with her regular doctor, have her explain the situation so they can do some test and figure out what could be wrong.

In my friend's case, the results for TB were negative, he did have to wait serval weeks for those to be sent to the embassy and yes you probably are going to have to reschedule, please contact the embassy.  There are a few reasons why the X-Ray could show something, especially if the person is a smoker or has had pneumonia in the past.  Don't be scared and have her talk to her doctor.

What happens if your PD becomes current on the Visa Bulletin but the USCIS Service Center still hasn’t approved the I 130 petition?

If you are working under the "Permanent resident filing for a spouse or child under 21" category nothing happens, USCIS needs to approve your case and send it to the NVC, this is where the Visa Bulletin comes into play and the NVC will start working on your case immediately.  But the Visa Bulletin hardly ever becomes current prior to USCIS approval, unless you get an RFE (Request For Evidence, could potentially delay your case) or your case is held up due to security checks.

I am tracking on an google sheet,

Date Checked : The day I did a check, you know go to the processing times page, select I-130 and California, Click get processing times.

The other two columns are values on the date I checked.

I just checked this right now on https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ and got this result:

17 Months to 22 Months ||  Permanent resident filing for a spouse or child under 21  || October 07, 2016

My PD is 29 December 2017 and service center is California and am still waiting. But I want to ask that if the petitioner is a green card holder and he files i130  for the beneficiary . But the petitioner has applied for his citizenship. If the beneficiary gets it i130 approved before the petitioner gets his citizenship. Then the beneficiary will have to wait for the F2A category to be current before moving to NVC and I learnt the current waiting time is two years.

    Is this true??

    Any news on your case?

I have a F2A that went to california.

    PD is June 8th

One of the evidence I added was my wedding website with google analytics added.

My site was accessed twice now, once on June 24th and again this week.

Same ISP both times ("early registration addresses"), Unix OS and chrome browser. classified as new user each time!

June 8th, 2017? right now they are working with November/December 2016.  If you are indeed 2017, at the current pace, I estimate another year before USCIS approves your case.

Finally I got my case approved after 1year 3months and 17 days its been a struggle for me had a lot of problems cuz of the wait my case is transferred to NVC now my PD is Feb/21/2017 F2A and upgraded my I 130 to US Citizen on Jan/28/2018 and got my Approval notice in mail Jun/9/2018 and my case online did not change to approved online it was a surprise when i got the letter.

Oh wow man, congratulations!!!! Remember to fill in your timeline, it will help us all.  Congrats again!!

  9. Thanks all for your replies.

@Gloriazlh, My petition hasn't been approved by USCIS yet.  I estimate that it will be approved in around 1/2-2 months from now or at least be close enough.   Right now it looks like USCIS is slower than the NVC handling the cases since according to the Visa Bulleting my petition is already overdue for immediate action by the NVC.

It looks like the general consensus is to wait for my case to reach NVC, I wonder if it's that people have had bad experiences adding babies at the USCIS stage?  Doesn't it make sense to add them at USCIS stage for the NVC to issue the correct invoice the first time?

    Thanks!

  10. Hi all,

I, Permanent Resident, petitioned for my wife and we have a priority date of Jan/27/2017, we now have two babies (twins) and my question is if we should include the babies now or wait for the NVC stage?

I've searched the forum and mostly the recommendation was to wait for the NVC, but those are old posts and doesn't reflect the current climate.  With USCIS CSC taking it's sweet time to approve petitions I wonder if it will be best to just to do that now and avoid further delays at the NVC stage.

If I understood the process correctly, before paying the fees you have to include the babies as to pay the correct fees which could mean additional delays in submitting/processing the inclusion letter.

Anybody here going through the same? What did you do? What's the general advice?

Oh well i hope the months pass fast I’m very stressed... let me know if you have any notifications.

Just try to relax about it, nothing good can come from things we have no control over.  With a bit of luck by early next year, you are going to be in the US.

My wife is in the DR with my twin babies, so trust me I know how you feel.  And please let us know when you get your approval. :)

Pd: 23 January 2017, I’m waiting for my noa2 hmm have one year and three months waiting for this and nothing.. someone here is in the same case ?

I from Dominican Republic, my husband is resident.

    Hi Lucia,

We are in the same boat, but I'm petitioning for wife PD: Jan-27-17, it looks like right now they are working with the early December cases. It may be a couple of more months for our PD to get processed by the USCIS.

  13. @nightingalejules Thanks! they are all well and healthy and I miss them like crazy, and congratulations to your sister and you too!

About the i-130, it was my understanding as well that I could just include the babies at the NVC stage, but that lady at the USCIS confused me when she said that I should just send the request for inclusion to them, my fear by doing so is that it could delay the process even more.

    Thanks again!
