This actually makes me angry. I'm happy for OP, but angry that the rest of the people who submitted petitions before her were pushed back because of her request. And based off the posts and approvals recently on VJ is does appear Philippines beneficiaries are being processed faster.
That just makes me PO'd. Politics is BS in this. I know true expedies exists, but I don't see this being fair to all the other US citizens who are pregnant and not have their spouse there. And yes, I'll say it for the US Citizen because that is the focus of consideration for USCIS.
Meh, perhaps getting pregnant and then file expedite may get my husband here quicker. I know any pregnancy I have would be high risk.....
So many of us waiting patiently (at least trying) and this just is a punch in the gut showing all of us that following the legal process is worthless.
End rant. Meh back to waiting and hoping for some action on my form within 3 months instead of 5 months from now.

Never would have gone for a K1. EVER.
Glad you like the it though... Thankfully there are options in the world.

Also please note which forum you're in. The OP is chasing a SPOUSAL CR1 visa. This is why THEIR expedite may hold another person's normal adjudication time.

Also please note, as far as we can tell, no one adjudicates specific countries. There's a pile, likely in order(ish) on their desk to work through... Regardless of country.
But hey if you have been in an office and know that Sue works on a country, and Joe on another, that's great info to have! Any proof of sources would be nice.

I find this shameful if indeed true. There are people who cannot get expedited living in war torn countries!no jealousy here, I ended up in the country in time to have my baby with my SO so I have no horse in the race.
Others should not have to pay the price of extra time because of poor family planning or failed birth control.

    That's great for you.
But put the shoe on the other foot. For every person being expedited, someone else is being held back. How would you feel if you were being held back?
Since you're on the K-1 route, you have no idea what the 1-year wait for CR-1 is like. So, if you were waiting for a year for your wife to get here and then were held back even longer to allow someone to cut in the line, tell me you would then be praising your Lord. I doubt it very much.

This is so ridiculous. It is "our immigration process" and let me tell you something...OUR immigration system sucks.
I am not pussyfooting around talking about the system that needs a heck of a lot of fixing.
To wish that the OP will be denied for voicing his opinion just takes the cake of all cakes with whipped cream on top.

So....have any of you 'like or leave it people' ever complained of something about this immigration system as well ?

I thought so ! So when are you packing those suit cases ?
    Ridiculous comments in this thread.
OP I wish you the best for your interview and yes, this system sucks.

So...if people don't love absolutely everything about this country they shouldn't even consider moving here?? Make perfect sense...*eyeroll*

We will agree to disagree on this. Not everyone is in love with the United States. So of us are moving there because our spouses are ineligible to live in our home countries. Yes, I am moving there. Do I think it's better there than the UK? Not necessarily.
The oppression of free speech is one of the worst things that can happen to you. That's what brings trouble! I would be very disappointed if I had to live in a country that did not allow me to express my disapproval of the government and its policies. It is possible to disagree without causing "trouble". It's called debating.

That's a bit harsh. He's entitled to an opinion. It's called free speech. That's the whole point of democtatic elections and the right to vote - to allow your opinion to count.
Perhaps a public venue such as Facebook is not the best way to air your views when you are going through immigration but nevertheless he is entitled to his opinion.
The system is not perfect, by any means. But it's the only system we have to be with our loved ones. There are many things I don't agree with in this process (auto-expedite based on geography/nationality being one, by the way) but it is what it is.
