    If they have took your passport that is a good sign. and Administrative processing could take to years.  Every case is different

    Correct me if I'm wrong but did Trump not say that he wants to temporarily ban the immigration of Muslims into this country? I am Muslim, my husband is Muslim....so yes, we are worried. If Trump wins, no one else does.

    No not in the slightest. Before we met in person we discussed the idea of marriage if the chemistry was as strong as it was while we skyped ect. It turned out to be even stronger when we met so we decided to get married.

    The civil certificate would be the one issued by the registrar or clerks office. So it sounds like you sent the right one. My only guess is that perhaps the certificate got lost in the cogwheels somewhere. Or somehow the courthouse didn't give you the right document. I second what rcripps said but this time go to a different clerks office just to be sure you are getting what you paid for.

    That's a bit harsh. He's entitled to an opinion. It's called free speech. That's the whole point of democtatic elections and the right to vote - to allow your opinion to count.
    Perhaps a public venue such as Facebook is not the best way to air your views when you are going through immigration but nevertheless he is entitled to his opinion.
    The system is not perfect, by any means. But it's the only system we have to be with our loved ones. There are many things I don't agree with in this process (auto-expedite based on geography/nationality being one, by the way) but it is what it is.

    I've just heard on the news, whatever channel the MIL is looking at, that they don't know if she was interviewed for a Visa. That "they only look at doing an interview if there is a problem". Say what?! That was meant to come from the head man of USCIS.
    They actually believe that people are issued these Visas all the time, without an interview. Very sloppy research, really.
