    1. No but always good evidence that you live together. Joint taxes, health insurance, car insurance are great but if you have additional ways to show you live together and have finances, do it.
    2. Not required.
    3. When you send I-751 for processing, they will send you a NOA (notice of action) which will serve as an extension of your residency. You must show this letter along with your GC.

So I just now finished my N-400 application online with pending i-751(Oct 2017 VSC filer) and i think 95% of us don't have our 10 year card yet. I heard there's a few I-751 Oct 17 filers that got their green card already but i'm not sure if they were VSC or CSC.

I was on the fence for the longest of time because a couple months ago I started noticing a trend where pending i-751 started getting interviews before applying for N-400 where was combo people had their application transferred immediately and their interviews were much after and when they did interview, they wouldn't get approved immediately because the immi officers would be like 'sorry you still got a pending -751' and might require additional time. At this point, the pattern is no longer there. I see movement or no movement on either sides: pending i-751 and pending combo (+N-400). I was trying to avoid 2 interviews: one for i-751 and one for N-400 where both me and my husband would need go. But if it's really a combo then it's great. If I did/do get called for interview for i-751 only, at least after going there with my husband and coming home with the 10 year green, i wouldnt need to bring my husband for me AGAIN when I do go for the N-400. So yes, while there is chance that i-751 only may get called for an interview if their case stay where it is or get transferred to anywhere other than Nebraska and get their 10 year GC faster than ppl with pending combo, i haven't see much of a pattern lately to make any statement/prediction.

The good thing about N-400 is it does force ppl to look up your case and call you for fingerprint and they do transfer the case. So they are def looking at it and whether they do sth about it or not is another question.

I'm curious to see if delaying my N-400 by 45 days is going to cost me. hmm 😕 in the long run when everyone but me starts to get interviews before me.

To all, get ready for work tomorrow

I havent posted in this thread yet but I am just so happy that I am approved!
I did not apply for N-400 and I did not get any email notification from USCIS but I checked on the website and got a nice surprise!
I was quite disheartened at first as many people seemed to be approved and they filed wayyy before me.

Aug 17 2017 Filed to Cali
Aug 25 2018 Received letter for 18 mths extension
Oct 10 2018 Got my case transferred to Texas
Nov 30 New card is being produced

I am soooo surprised! I didnt submit much evidence as we don't have a kid and we are living with his parents. So we only submitted photos, joint ownership of our vehicles and evidence of joint bank account (bank statements). That's it. I was so prepared to go for an interview that I even collected all my bank statements for the past year and tried taking more photos (we are not fans of taking photos) lol.

I'm sure most of you guys have more evidence than me so just be patient and wait for the good news! Good luck to the rest of you!

Just for the peace of mind for anybody travelling, I just came back from Bangladesh (10 days) without my hubby. Landed at jfk, showed my expired GC and 18 month extension letter, they did take me to another room for further review but that seemed only for verifying the originality of the letter, no interview or anything like that. Gave me everything back without question after half an hour (there were other people going under further review so it takes a bit). TLDR; As long as your letter is real and your background is clear, travelling into the country is no issue at all

With the recent transfers of ROC cases to Texas, they have been handling them pretty well looking at what people say here. Texas is pretty slow with AOS for ex. So don't worry, you are on the right path 🙂

Texas seems to be good with responding to cases. See if you get something in 2-3 weeks.

    Whelp...

I guess I actually did get an early Christmas gift! I honestly was shocked to get the DHS email, followed by a USCIS text message alerting me to an action being taken on my case. Fingers crossed it wasn't an RFE, I logged in to find this beauty awaiting me.

497 days later from my NOA1, I finally made it...I really am at a loss for words. From my K1 visa that took 58 days to get my passport back when it was supposed to be 7-10 as I was told by an agent, to this process that used to take a few months that turned into 497 days, this has all been a test of my patience, I am just finally glad I can breathe a sigh of relief and now take my time on filing my N-400.

No idea on how long this will take to get in the mail, but if I have had this much patience already, a couple more weeks shouldn't be a problem.

To all of those still waiting, my heart goes out to you, it seriously does. I do not mean these as empty words as we have all been in this together. All the best to everyone else out there waiting. I am now off to update my timeline and the spreadsheet.

Divorce waiver, got a text saying update on my case last evening then logged in and saw "New Card Is Being Produced". Can't believe my eyes and hopefully it is true!

    Here is my timeline:
    4/12/17-- Mailed out the application
4/13/17-- Delivered and USCIS's receipt date is 4/13/17
    5/15/17-- Finger printed
Then 2/16/18-- Case was received at my local office and found my receipt date changed to 4/25/17 ??
7/5/18-- Case was transferred to TSC
8/24/18- Got notice saying RFE was issued (however, it was dated 8/27 on RFE)
    9/1/18-- RFE received
    11/14/18-- RFE response mailed out
    11/15/18-- Delivered
11/16/18-- Got message saying "Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received"
11/26/18-- New Card Is Being Produced

I know everything is still unpredictable and don't want to be super relaxed until the card is really received. I have attorney helping my case but I do checked here a lot since this March and got many ideas out of the forum. Thank you very much!
Hang in there and good luck!

Me neither. I don't think all people get transferred. And I am a CSC filer and sounds like CSC-ers get transferred to Nebraska which seems to be slow, so I actually hope I won't be transferred. Honestly, I kind of given up on ROC at this point and hoping that my N400 will be a speedier process...though so far it is also not encouraging....
