I actually laughed when I read this. Sorry that you are genuinely worried, but you shouldn't be. The K1 visa process CAN take as little as 6 months and there is nothing that would take effect anyway in that amount of time, but like others have said, there probably won't be too many changes as far as LEGAL immigration. And I have gotten a lot of bad information from liberal college professors due to their bias and it sounds like that is all his professor was doing, an anti-trump rant, nothing more. I would just decide what you both want to do with your future (live in the US or Mexico) and go forward with that. I know for me personally, I made up my mind that I wanted to be with my now husband and it didn't matter how that had to happen, when you decide that no matter what happens you choose eachother, you get less scared about stuff like this

Thanks steph&max. I placed the SR for EAD only, last June 21, my 75th day. since then i havent gotten any news or update. I called and ask for Tier 2, they didnt transfer me coz it was busy, so I didnt push for it anymore. It took 12 days before my online status changed. You will get it soon, just chill coz i just did chill coz if not, il go crazy counting the days. LOL.

They're not informed enough.In the past I believe some people would get a stamp or sticker, I'm not sure, that would allow the to work but it's been quite a while.

As far as I know only one is allowed they have to meet all financial requirements. Also, they prefer to see family members from US petitioners as sponsors. And thirdly, check with your embassy if they even allow joint sponsors.

You're very welcome! I called last week on Monday and they told me it could take 1-2 months to get it. They had gotten our case at the embassy the 19th. Then boom two days later after I called, my fiancé in the US got the email and I was able to make the appointment last Friday for mid-March, there was February available but we can't do it that early. It took about 1 1/2 weeks to get that AFTER they already received the case at my actual embassy. You can track the case and see if it arrived at the embassy on DHL.

Wow we haven't even called NVC once...because we know we cannot have the interview in FEB due to some job stuff, so most likely we will have to schedule it for March or April. Even if we wanted to have it asap.
Anyways my fiancé just received the letter with our case number and saying they are sending it to my embassy ? I find it funny that when you don't even try things move quickly!
The letter says they will contact ME before we can take any next steps. Let's see how long that takes if we don't do anything, also I wonder how they'll contact me.

Hello, welcome! These are just my two cents....
1. With the cover letter, should I list all the proof that I provided for our meeting? Or is it okay to just state that I have listed proof (and keep it neatly together)? On my cover letter I only wrote it like this:
-Proof of having met in the past 2 years... page #
-Proof of ongoing relationship....page#
And I made a cover page for each of those explaining what was going to follow in the next few pages
2. A little silly, but do I need to sign proof? Like copies of boarding passes/itineraries? I sign everything else, right?
I think you only need to sign pages like the cover page, the letter of intents, the pages that explain what will follow,and all the forms, but not actual boarding pass or itinerary.
3. I have booked a flight to see him in March (I've never flown before, so I won't have stamps in a passport from a previous meeting). Is it a good idea to use my itinerary as proof of an ongoing relationship?
I think since this is in the future it wouldn't really count yet
