  1. That's the problem... we are both covered by our own work insurance (not together). The only place we have been since we got married out of state is South Carolina for 3 days and we drove down there. Everything is in his name except our joint bank account (both our wages are deposited there). That's why I am slightly confused as to what we can use. We file our W2 together every year and put both our kids on there. We both work a lot so we don't really go anywhere...

  2. I'm a bit worried about evidence... so I'm coming on here in advance. All I can really think of is my life insurance and 401k shows him as the beneficiary (my husband doesn't have any) and we have a joint bank account. My husband is always working so all the bills are still in his name and we are currently renting from his parents (although that may change in the next 6 months) and so we have no rental agreement. I have a learner permit which has our address on it. I've looked at what others have and it seems like I have hardly any evidence even though we have been living together just over a year now and will be nearly 2 years when we are applying for ROC (in 6 months).

  3. I've been here a year and I still get homesick. It doesn't help that I can't drive or get anywhere (I am trying to learn but finding time and a person to take me out can be difficult). Getting a job did help, but I still miss being able to take myself places and not having to rely on anyone else to take me to do things. I am bored, I do not like living in the middle of nowhere and I miss the city. We have talked about moving next year closer to a big city so I'm happy about that. But it is hard to come from everything you've known. It takes time! I moved here for my husband but I was happy where I was in England. Things take time and eventually I'll be able to drive which I think will really help me since that's one of the biggest reasons I get home sick (not being able to get out and about).

  4. I just passed the second stage of screening for a big company. The opportunity to work there is absolutely amazing and the money is really good! I gave it 150% at the assessment and my interview I'm so glad I got it. But it does mean that I'll have to leave where I am, which isn't entirely a loss.. customer service isn't for me. Although I tough it out because it's a job and I'm grateful for it. $9 pay raise though will not go a miss!

Congrats JFH!!! I hope you can make it over in time for Christmas!!!

Hurray Ceisen! I hope your POE goes smooth!

So glad to hear you started working AMJZ! I hope you enjoy it!

I bet you will land the job with flying colors Andy!!! Let us know!

Just waiting for my trip to see Jon and to be there for his interview on January 6th. Jon has his medical next Tuesday O.O

Thank you, customer service is really something but it's a job and for that I'm grateful!

Interview for Walgreens went well, got the job pending a pee test and a background check :D

    Congratulations!

  5. I hope that's the case. My husband was considering taking a second job, but we agreed it's best he doesn't as it would interfere with his current job which could lose us money. I've had to tell my family in England I can't afford to send xmas presents as our kids birthdays and Christmas are all in 6 weeks of each other. We just can't afford it. The manager next door is waiting to hear from the regional manager as she recommended me to him. Hopefully he will get back to her and if he's ok with it she is going to write me a letter for expediting.

  6. RFIE stating that we don't meet income requirements for a 4 person family, we actually meet for a 5 person family. We sent pay stubs to prove this as his W2 was short for last year as he got a promotion. They requested initial evidence. Sent 12 months bank statements, 12 months pay stubs, full W2, Letter from work confirming everything and a cover letter confirming everything and the situation. Yes he earns $33,400 (with out bonuses) $37,000 with.. but we are actually struggling and I really need to be working running up to Christmas. I really didn't need them to reset this. I have a possible job offer so I might try and expedite if they follow though...

  7. The manager at a store I live near by really wants me to apply there. She said they have jobs available to start soon. She asked me to apply and said if I can get my card expedited she will write any letter I need. I applied for EAD along side AOS in August with a NOA1 of August 23rd. We just replied to our RFIE to do with the affidavit and that was delivered today. My husband does earn enough, but with Christmas and 2 children's birthdays coming up our finances are stretched and I really do need this job offer as it's also walking distance from our home (can't drive yet as no EAD). Has anyone successfully expedited their EAD? I know a lot of people at my stage already have their EAD so I was wondering if I could at this point?

  8. He earns $2000 over the minimum and that's with out the bonuses he gets. I think what I've said we should do should be enough then. Get all his tax return info and pay stubs and bank statement and a new letter from work. Then hopefully it should be fine if we include a cover letter explaining the situation. His tax return for this year will be well above. Just last year was $3000 short.

  9. We sent:

4 pay stubs (he gets paid bi weekly).

A letter from work stating he earns enough etc.

his 2015 tax return (which is $3000 short).

We were RFIE saying he doesn't earn enough. But if they looked at his pay stubs and the letter from work it would have clearly shown that he does now earn enough. He just didn't at the start of last year.

I suggested to my husband that we do the following:

Print bank statements showing income: He is concerned about they don't need to see what we are spending money on. But I assume they are only interested in what he has coming into the bank account.

Pay stubs: As many as possible for the last 6 months.

His tax return again (since they asked for it, even though we sent it before).

A letter from work again stating his wages, his hours, that it's permanent, his job position etc.

A cover letter stating he was given more responsibility at work last summer and that increased his pay, which is why his yearly amount is not reflected in last years tax return.

Are there any official links on filling this out? My husband wants to go by what the letter says but I feel like they will deny the petition if that's all we do costing us more money to then send another AOS and more time.

I think what I listed above should be enough but if there are any more suggestions I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks.
