One of the problems I have with how politicians and the public in general look at income ( and taxes ) is that there is never any clear understanding that 40,000 dollars can get you quite a bit in certain areas of the United States, while in others you would struggle. There needs to be a greater effort to understand the differences in regional economics and not just apply some blanket tax cut ( or tax hikes as we will probably see shortly ) without regards to how it might affect different areas of the country.

We still have people pending as far back as March. Zimba is at 238 days.
I am up to 111 days.
-
I was really hoping to have NO2 by the time I headed over to South Africa to see my wife, but it looks like that probably isn't going to happen.
-
Still get the error message. I am using a Mac though and I cannot use IE. Usually I use Firefox and it works. The great designers of the website think everytime I am using a different browsers than IE that I am using "Netscape".

My I-130 was approved yesterday, so I am hoping the 1-129f gets approved at some point and some point soon.
-
Well took a good min, but at least I have one approval. Got the emails just a few seconds ago... Hopefully the K3 is coming soon.....
Now a quick question.. my wife has changed her address since the papers were initially filed.. do I need to notify someone as to the address change?
-
Nothing new here but a touch on the I-130 after the last touch being over 4 months ago.

yes and my case was sent to VSC this morning!!!! so keep hope dip sticks.. yours reached Chicago just a few days after me!!!!
i honestly NOW think and believe that those 3 whole months that my case was NOT viewable online slowed us down tremendously!!!!! i hate this!!!! and noone at USCIS will listen they keep saying everything is normal!!!
no its not!!! ppl who filed in september and whose cases are viewable online... their cases were already sent to the Service centers. before me.. so.. whaaaatevvverrrrr...
me n dip sticks need a punching bag!... well atleast i do
At least there seems to be some movement on the straggler cases that got left behind in prior months..... Still doesn't quite explain why we still have people from march and april waiting...
-
I think certain applications are subject to background checks, but I do not know if there is a way to tell. Based on my observation there seems to be a lump of people approved each month with a few stragglers left behind ( you and I ) with no explanation and very little available to us to try and find out anything.
I also think the processing dates are quite similar to pizza delivery times. All pizza places with tell you 45min-1hr or during busy times say up to 1 and 1/2 hours even though it might be there in 30 min or less. This gives them a way to cover their asses when things actually do take a long time.

I am sorry to hear about this.....Here is a  for you to help you get through this time.. I know it isn't much but know that there are people pulling for you..
If your spouse is the petitioner, have you considered having him/her look into contacting a local lawmaker? It may be time to take some action, if for nothing else than to feel as if you are being proactive..Please fill in your timeline as well..

I am still waiting for my approval. Looks like everyone in August has been approved. I do not know what is going on..
The same thing that has happened to countless others....RANDOMNESS!!!!
Look at the sheet and you will see there are March, April, May, June and July NOA 1's that still do not have an approval... For every block of NOA 2's that come, it seems as if there are always a few stragglers left behind with no explanation...

Libersolis, am glad that your case was touched and i hope you'll get an approval soon. There is one thing im just bothered though, looking at your timeline, it says, 07-14-06-I-129F Sent, 07-16-06-I-129F Arrived at CSC, does this mean you sent ur I-129F directly to California Service Center? Cuz as far as what i know and what other members did, I-129F for spouse should be sent to Chicago. But yours was sent to CSC and got NOA1... hmm this made me wonder what is wrong after 4 months that is the only time u got touched.
I sent it to Chicago. I just put CSC for Chicago Service Center even though there is no such thing.

inb4 the move.

I wonder if my wife tried to call USCIS today. I think she said she was going to try, so that may have generated the touch ( or not ) Either way a touch is a nice little boost for me right now.
-
I try not to get my hopes up with regards to these things, but it is nice to see a change in date after seeing no movement for over 4 months.
-
I can't believe it.. I was actually touched today on I haven't had a single touch on either of my cases since I filed them. Nice to know the case still exists!
-
Perhaps you can add what service center they are at, and the average wait time according the the processing times..
-
I believe I am getting closer too.. of course if I was going further back then that would be a serious problem.
-
I'll be calling next week!

I could be wrong but I thought that Manilla wasn't allowing cosponsors for the K-3 visa anymore..

...we cant afford to take out another country coz we havent fixed IRAQ yet.
Doesn't mean we can't break N. Korea
It is also important to note that while the United States military is currently stretched thin, it has not come anywhere close to using the full capability and power of its combined armed forces, which don't forget, were built up over 50 years to fight World War III.
-
I doubt they will have the military support from China this time around, though I could be wrong.

Intentions of illegal criminals are not in question, their first Act on USA soil is that of defiance by intentionally breaking laws and continously stealing, defrauding and breaking laws to benefit their personal Agenda
We all have families to support that does not justify breaking federal laws to do so.
1000+ intneding immigrants scarfice comfortable lving conditions, decent income potential & months even years seperated from their loved ones to go through the immigration process by LEGAL Means.
Those who vilate the law and intentionally avoid federal regulations, avoid paying income taxes, do not deserve leniancy, do not deserve a free path to citizenship or any path to citizenship for that matter.
If an American Citizen / legal resident is caught evading Income taxes or not filing, the IRS will come after that person and put them in prison regardless if they have a family to support or not. yet these Illegals come here work illegally fail pay income taxes, send their money Back to Mexico therefore do not contribute to the growth of the economy and can't not be tracked by the IRS, So these Illegal Federal Criminals Criple the sytem, and avoid consequnces of their illegal activity.
In No way is their illegal pressence helpin US Economy, It is Hurting the Economy, the Education of our children, the tsandard and quality of medical care.On the surface employers save minimal amount of $$ by being able to pay lower wages and avoid certain insurance costs by hiring illegals, but the Long term negative effect ends up costing Billions per year for each illegal that Steals Govt. aide, takes advantage of medical care that i sput in place for LEGAL residents, Ctitizens, causing Hospitals to have to shut down, putting more people out of care. This doesn't even take into taccount other costs such as illegal drivers and the ris ein population and drug traffciking 8-% of which come sileghal;ly through USA 's Southern Border.
How does one Quantify the costs of Drugs and their effect on the USA population. Now Drug cartels are finding More Profir by Smuggling people instead of drugs IT IS ALL CONNECTED.
Pushing middle income families to lower standards in education for their children due to ilegal immigranst requiring thschools accomodate their children with leneicnacy in testing or language help, Illegals bring the value of property down. So the long term effect is costing billions per year, the minimal amount of $$ saved by hiring them is not worth the end cost.
There is a solution, those who entered ilegally should be made to return to where they came from, then ONCE they have PAID back taxes for ALL years and Fines, and Filed tge proper paperwork then They can apply for LEGAL entry and Legal Residancy. NO benefit of ANY kind should be granted ( except Emergency medical care) to any person who enters country illegally, before applying for benefits one should establish that they have entered the country legally! /USA Children citizens Born to Illegal immigrant Parents Should NOT be allowed to petition their parents. The cost of USA having t pay for Illegal Immigrants should be passed on to the Govt.s of those countries the illegals originate. The USA should reduce the amount of Froeign Aide to those countries based on the amount they cost USA and legal residents.
if 1 illegal costs USA 1 billion / annually then that should be deducted from the trade or support, commiosn USA provides/ to countriy where that immigrant origniated from; be it SWEDEN ( as if) or Mexico .
The USA in turn should reduce trade between countries that refuse to raise the standard of living for their own people. America Should be more self sufficient even if at first it costs citizens/ residents more, the long term it will save Billions,
what about the ones who enter "legally" but stay "illegally" after their visa exprire too.. I know tons and some are my friends (not only from Thailand though..some EURO countries too) and I think the number of those people are very high - they dont have to fear being caught as much as the ones enter illegally though (from what I know) so what would you suggest about that?
Deport them. What else?
