She's cleared to leave now but I'm so infuriated I plan to pursue justice.  I have a genuine feeling that what they have done / the way they have treated her (and me) is way beyond their ministerial duty to counsel.   They are not suppose to be relationship terrorists and attempt to end relationships!   They are not suppose to slander the Filipina nor the foreigner!  They are not suppose to drag parents into the mix when age doesn't require it!  They are suppose to counsel and counsel only!   A little audit is in order I do believe!  

I'm not at liberty to discuss as the Attorneys are working on it now.  Some CFO folks will be shown the door I guarantee it!

My fiancé is on the way here.   I'm 25 yrs her senior, I visited her once, submitted photos but not in a club.   I don't see the difference in my case and the guy whose fiancé got denied.  Weird.   Seems a little unfair to me.

After almost 3 months of my fiancé attending so called 'counseling sessions' at the Manila CFO office, they finally release her certificate!  It basically became a fight between me, the counselor all the way up the chain to the Undersecretary.  It didn't hurt that I had the best legal counsel in Manila guiding me/us.  CFO basically spent over an hour in the last session apologizing to my fiancé for her anxiety, sleepless nights, stress, delays, and additional financial burden.  Basically, they, the CFO, know they're in trouble now.   See you in court!

I feel bad for you in this situation.   I would go to your Congressman, just walk in the office tell them the store, have all your documents with you and request an additional interview with a different CO.  Just my thoughts.  It sounds like the guy was just having a bad day and wanted to make someone else's day bad too.

CFO refuses to answer my questions..  Why did you tell my fiance to find another man?  Why did you tell my fiance to stop receiving money from me?   Why did you tell my fiance I'm an abuser when there's no record of such anywhere?  Why are you unjustly holding my fiance in Ph against her will?  etc!  They are cowards!   This line of questioning and statements doesn't fall in line with their ministerial mandate to counsel!  It's strictly agenda based!

Last appointment to conclude this week.  Should there be no certificate to follow, court filings, etc. will occur in June.   CFO can't deny the certificate but they can be jerks and delay it until after the Visa expires.   That's how they play their game.

I've heard of people having trouble like this before.  It's not uncommon.   

Beware of the CFO.  If they treat you anything like they've treated my fiance and I they will probably recommend the 10 yr old stay in Philippines because of the possibility that your husband will abuse him.   Also, better have all the legal adoption paperwork with you along with all his documents.   Those people are ruthless and despise anyone who has a backbone!

Yes, they probably do have too much power but they also have years of proof of filipinas being abused by their "partners".  

 

I would suggest that you relax and allow her to relax.  If it is truly love that will be seen by everybody.  If it is something else, they have saved her.  It is a game but it is their game.  Please relax and let her know that you love her.  Complaining and getting upset will not help her.  Show her love and support and all will be fine.  Show your anger and being abusive will only strengthen their resolve to keep you apart.

 

I guess you have to decide if stirring the pot works in the best interest of your relationship.  They are not attacking you personally.  They have seen something that makes them question the relationship.  It is up to you to prove them right or prove them wrong.  

 

I agree that sometimes we have to decide which battles we want to take on.  This battle can impact more than just you.  

 

I wish you the best but sometimes it is better not to have the last word in an argument.  CFO isn't going anywhere and sometimes it is easier to work with them and not against them.  

 

Last year they had something like 10,000 US visas approved just from the Philippines.  That is one of the largest groups in the world.  It doesn't seem like they are actively trying to stop immigration.

My fiancé is smart but not overly aggressive.  She's somewhat passive and very sweet.   Perhaps weak on the surface.   The problem lies in my past relationship with a Filipina who came here in 2016, took a lot of my money and left me.   I was scammed and she lied and slandered me heavily to the CFO in order to justify her actions.  We will definitely have the last word in this argument.    I would suspect from the meeting that CFO doesn't want to be pushed into court and be exposed for their tactics.    A certificate is coming now!

It's getting extremely interesting.   Cannot disclose at this time but let's say fiance and I both sleeping better now.  The lengths this CFO office will go blows my mind.  They are far far outside their scope !  Bullying in the guise of counseling !!

I have seen SSI years ago (15 years ago) tell the applicants they need to send money back to the Philppines for their social security.

And that's part of their strategy I think.  Wear em down, frustrate em, make em quit and go home.   Visas are typically good for 3-6 months once issued.  

In my opinion this CFO concept is absolutely worthless.  It empowers the Government and limits freedom of citizens with their own choices.  Making the entire office the perfect socialist, liberal mindset / philosophy.   Bernie Sanders would adore the CFO!

If they give my girl a hard time this week I am prepared to force them into court to explain their Stalinist position!

A word of caution.  Watch your 6 when attending CFO.  They are an organization who has the objective of keeping as many Filipinas in country as possible.  And they even have the underlying objective of breaking up relationships in order to do so.  This is a 'no value added' bureaucracy!  The counselors there are abusing their power and trying to make themselves out to be an important!.

It's simple.   Charter a private jet to Taiwan, HK or Brunei.  With the money paid to the private charter company there is an inside track to getting an immigration stamp.   Just make it a condition of hiring them.   Problem solved.  We may do this I'm not kidding.  I've been speaking with someone who knows immigration people personally.  Gotta play the game!
