Mine JUST got cashed this morning. It got to VSC April 20.

I'm not sure how you can say you filed more then 6 months when you filed 2/28/16...

I didn't send anything but the marriage certificate. I hadn't even thought to until reading about other people's applications much later. Had I known, I might have included a couple things but definitely not a whole slew as some have listed off here. From what I understand, all the financial/co-mingling stuff is a big requirement for ROC but not for AOS.

I'm going to give OP the benefit of the doubt and assume that by saying "I'm Canadian" she meant that she isn't from a high fraud country. Not that this means she will be processed quickly but a lot of people are under the assumption that low fraud countries tend to move at least a bit faster. If that wasn't what she meant though, that is indeed cringe worthy.

Never mind the fact that there have been hundreds of reports that show workers in Germany (for example) are actually much more efficient on the whole than American workers BECAUSE of not in spite, of their additional vacation time and better work life balance. No need to be a bully - one can like the USA and still critique its flaws.

There are laws and there are norms. It's the law that you are required to carry your GC all the time and it's the norm that nobody will ask for it as long as you provide the other forms of identification like Driver License or State ID. How many of us have been asked to show GC while travelling in the US?
The need of carrying a Drivers License (and not its photocopy) while driving is comparable to the need of carrying a GC while crossing the Border.

One thing that I've learned on this board is that being Canadian is often meaning that immigrant visas are often processed SLOWER than many other countries. Sit back and enjoy the ride. Montreal is a very slow consulate

( I had my EAD bio done on 3/30 and GC was scheduled on 5/2. As my hubby is on sick leave and can't afford to take time off anymore, we decided to try a walk in. )

Successfully got a drivers license in New Hampshire and changed my registration to be married name !!

I really hope the person that lent her parents money is not bad news.
She may be in over her head, I hope she is alright and nothing fishy or dangerous is going on.

So we tried a walk in at the Bronx today. After a little discussion, I was told to come back at 12 ( it's actually written down on my notice.
It was funny, I actually had to correct the officier about the codes... He told me having 2 appointments is normal! Told him that everyone I know who applied for EAD/AP AND Green Card only had 1 appointment with code 3, which should normally cover both.
Now I have 1.5 hours left to wait, So I will go eat some pancakes at IHop! Lmao

Just woke up with a couple of texts from uscis:
-My daughter's combo card was delivered. Yay! I ran like a crazy person to the mailbox and there it was!
-Got my noa1 for the EAD I had to resend last week. It shows as "Validation error" when I enter it in my case status tho. Too soon I guess

We got an e-mail last night saying that the EAD has been mailed. Job search is now in full force haha hope that I can get something soon. I'm seriously looking forward to working
