  1. Hahahahahah yeah they don't sound desperate at all to come to the U.S. As previously asked, why only U.S guys?

I met my wife here in the Philippines 20 years ago. She lived in NY for 12 years and then we moved back here 4 years ago. Seems like a lifetime ago we did all the visa stuff. She has dual citizenship now.

My question is actually for some girls that work for me. Where online can 3 very pretty, very nice educated girls go to meet someone? The expats they meet here are only interested in sex and these girls are interested in finding soulmates. I'm glad I am married because I would have a hard time choosing between the 3 of them.

Does anyone have any suggestions about online sites or even a single friend or relative that is looking for a nice girl?

    Thanks in advance

  2. You can't summarize it better than this.

If she pulls the affidavit of support it does not matter that he has proof of a good faith marriage because there is no basis to AOS.

For ROC it would be possible with a divorce waiver but not for AOS. She must be willing to continue with the affidavit of support

and prove a bona fide marriage. Since she already has contacted USCIS about being scared he will leave her after the GC she

has set in motion a very scrutinizing interview to say the least and when he adds her cheating evidence it will be the end of it.

We know the marriage is not bona fide because she cheats on him and already wants to sponsor another person.

It does not take a genius to see that she is not serious and a big nut cake. Not only did she sabotage their relationship by

contacting USCIS but probably hopes they will deny him so she can sponsor her next victim all justified by feeling it wasn't her fault

    if he is denied.

I don't care what they told her on the phone, they will not approve him because he did nothing wrong and she is 100% in the wrong.

No affidavit of support + no bona fide marriage = no green card. Period. No ifs and buts. Giving OP false hope is not helpful.

His wife sounds mentally unstable and he should get away from her for his own sanity.

  3. There is nothing worse than when a woman is in charge? What a messed up discriminating kind of comment is that?

For the love of God wake up and join the 21st century.

There's nothing as worse than a woman trying to be In charge. Im sorry you going thru all of these. But my advice is if you can still hang in the marriage until you get approved, then do it. If you think she might call a police on you or filed a restraining order against you, then move on and cancel this present petition then file again with waiver. It is really going to be tough. You going to get interviewed and most possibly a stoke interview. Make sure to have (sufficient!!!!!) documents to convince the I/O. Do not let her call the immigration on you. They are as worse more than police. You want to live in US? They determined if that is going to happen. Keep up with prayers and heads up. You love your wife and that's why you with her not just for green card.

  4. Im sorry if I hurt your feelings. I was just trying to return a favor to the guy before you. He doesn't know what my family is going through for him to mocked us and brought the stepping stone and integrity issue. My brother have the right to be here with us. Me and my brothers all served in the military so no matter what, our eldest is coming here. He is a resident in singapore and his son is serving their army so he have the right as well to get their passport. There is no stepping stone bs here. Its all about family being together.

Wow, sweet attitude. Just a FYI, immigration to the U.S is not a right, it's a privilege.

  5. Yeah Gothenburg or Stockholm it is. I don't know what of those cities is closest to you. I looked at both clinics (to see who had the shortest waiting time), and ended up in Gothenburg. So if you're in a hurry or want to get it over with asap, it does not hurt to check both locations :)

    Good Luck on your Journey!

Thank you so much for the information, Maria! :)

So according to this info I can only choose between two doctors to have the medical examination.. Do you or anyone else know how long it usually takes? I will need a lot of planning for this and the interview as I live nowhere near close to Stockholm and I don't know the city at all.

Thanks again for all the useful info, great thread.

  6. Oh my freakin god!

I can't even believe what I just read. I'm literally sweating because I put myself in your situation and I got furious just thinking about it. The least they could've done is apologizing and make an exception and tell you what the RFE is about. I'm gonna follow this until you're done.

PHONE CALL RETURNED BY A SUPERVISOR - ASKED ME IF I HAD EVER RECEIVED AN RFE - REPLY - NO! - DATED APRIL 30TH HE SAID, BUT IT WAS NEVER SENT - THE LEVEL OF UNPROFESSIONALISM BLOWS MY F@#%$ING MIND - NOT SO MUCH AS AN APOLOGY, ONLY THAT I WILL BE RECEIVING AN EMAIL AND/OR HARDCOPY ON OR BEFORE 9/25 WITH AN UPDATED STATUS. :bonk::bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

  7. Hi,

As copied from the pdf on the travel.state.gov page:

Fees for Applicants Residing in Norway

You are liable for any and all examination fees. The physical examination is approximately 3000 NOK for adults and 1000 NOK for children under 15. The fees may be paid in cash or by credit card. There are separate fees for the chest X-ray and the serological tests which are paid directly to the laboratories that perform the tests. These prices may be higher for non-residents of Norway. There are also additional fees for vaccinations if you are required to have them; these vary depending on the particular vaccination(s) required.

All is in this PDF: http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Medical/OSL%20-%20Oslo.pdf

    Hope this helps :)

    Hello Everyone,

Any Norwegians out there that know exactly how much medical examination will cost? including x-ray and blood work. I know that the cost of the vaccinations vary. any information will be very helpful.

    Thanks everyone!

  8. Hey everyone, we're working on filling out as much of the AOS documents as possible so we can file as soon as we have our marriage certificate. Part 3, question 15a is confusing me a bit. The question asks "Have you ever served in, been a member of, assisted in or participated in any military unit, paramilitary unit, police unit, self-defense unit, vigilante unit, rebel group, guerilla group, militia, or insurgent organization?"

My fiance served a year in the Swedish army, which we listed on part 3C. I think the above question is for non-government regulated militia type groups, is that correct? So I think our answer would be "no" but I just want to confirm. Thanks!

  9. Hi,

No, the doctor down in Malmö retired so the remaining options is in Gothenburg (Kungsportsläkarna) and in Stockholm (Sibyllekliniken).

A tip is to read the reviews about the stockholm embassy, a lot of fellow swedes post the asked questions there :)

    Mvh

    Hi,

My wife had MMR n Tdap vaccinations record in 2012.

Do you think its still acceptable ?

Wat city did you have medical exam done ? I wonder if the clinic in Malmo city is still active ?

Wat requirements for medical exams in sweden ?

Any helps with interviewing questions and experiences would be appreciate

    Thanks

  10. I really hope it gets solved Maria! Håller tummar och tår.

We are in the process of sending in our AOS and my father was preliminary diagnosed with stomach cancer and we thought we had more time. Now the official diagnosis is inoperable pancreatic cancer and time is running out. Is there a point in even trying to get the AOS in and expedite travel authorization or should we just abandon ship and do spousal visa? I'd leave around September 7 unless there's a drastic change.
