Congratulations! I wish I had this much luck. So awesome you had such a great experience.
Thanks! I wish you good luck as well.
At least this goes to show that N-400 (combo interview) status can change from "You attended your interview" -> "We approved your application" -> "We scheduled your ceremony" instantly, without external factors, and can be done by the IO and field office during the interview.

Congratulations for your approvals... This may be a stupid question for most people on this thread, but I want to ask it anyway. How do you apply for N-400 when you don't have a "valid GC"? I mean your permanent CG... Do you send in a copy of your expired GC + Ext letter? Does that serve the purpose?
Thanks
Yes I uploaded a copy of my expired GC and extension letter since I filed online. You don't need to have a 10 year GC to apply for N-400, you need to be eligible based on this: https://www.uscis.gov/citizenship/educators/naturalization-information#eligibility_reqmts

My N-400 combo interview was scheduled for 9:30 AM. I received a notification (text & email) at 9:10 AM from USCIS stating that my I-751 ROC has been approved and the case status changed to "New Card Is Being Produced". This was quite confusing since my wife and I were en-route to the field office. We arrived at 9:20 AM and checked in at the reception. At 9:25 AM the IO invited me to the office and mentioned that my wife does not need to accompany me.
The IO administered the oath and asked for the interview letter and green card. She began by saying that she reviewed my I-751 ROC application earlier and approved it since there was sufficient evidence submitted, and that she'll proceed directly to the citizenship interview. She asked me 6 civics questions, 1 sentence to read, and 1 sentence to write. I passed the tests and we moved on to review the application. After asking all the Yes/No questions and verifying my bio, I signed the forms, and she recommended my application for approval. I was fully prepared to wait a couple of months for our Oath Ceremony, but the officer was very nice and said she would actually be able to get me in to the one they were having at USCIS field office on March 15th. She handed me form N-652 and asked me to wait a few minutes for the Oath Ceremony letter.
At 9:40 AM they handed me the N-445 Notice of Naturalization Oath Ceremony and my online status changed to "Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed". Quite a pleasant experience and surprised that I walked out with an Oath Ceremony letter within 20 minutes.Questions:

You got a call ? wow that is news to me and I'm glad they did that.
I'm in the same situation , what was the timeline between when you get the interview notice and the call from them ?
Yes they called my mobile. I was surprised too.
I got my interview scheduled on 1/29 and my interview is on 3/4.
Hope that helps...

Awesome! Glad they are doing a combo and you don’t have to worry about getting there and being told they need to reschedule your N400 interview once ROC is approved!
Yes absolutely, glad to see they are well prepared and it is definitely assuring to know I have to take my spouse.
The person who called me was the interview scheduler who assists in scheduling and notifying the interviewee.

I got a call from my field office to remind me to bring my spouse along for the N-400 interview since my ROC is pending.
I informed them that I did not get an official notice about the combo interview. After the call they emailed me a generic i-751 interview checklist.

How long after you applied did they transfer your I751? Mine hasn’t been touched yet.
2 weeks after bio-metrics, so keep an eye out

Good to know
I see on your timeline that your I751 wasn't approved yet? Did they do a combo interview?
My ROC Is still pending with VSC.
My interview is in 2 weeks and I hope they do so. I have NO confirmation about the combo interview and my service requests are unanswered. However, my ROC was transferred from VSC to NBC once I applied for N-400.

Just had biometrics today, and case was already updated that they have reviewed it.
How long did it take after your biometrics before you received the update about interview scheduled?
It took 5 weeks for my interview to be scheduled. YMMV

How did you request? by phone call? by erequest (online)? in general, I am wondering how do people get information? i made an infopass (15 months from ROC, 3 months from N400).
Please refer to this post.

If you applied N-400 and did not get your ROC yet and they transferred to NBC, it seems that you might get combo interview. However when the interview will happen depend on your local office's time line. My case, ROC, EAC18061XXXX ( filed Nov 27, 2017) still waiting in local office ( means service center, I assume) since April 9, 2018.
Filled N-400 also.
I'm in the same situation, but some people still got their ROC approved after being transferred to NBC with N-400 pending.
I have raised a service request to see if my interview will be combo interview. Will see if they response.

I94 is only for those who ever had a non-immigrant status in the US. Otherwise it won't show any record.

Yeah, it's all in my signature. Around 21 Dec my I-751 was transferred from CSC to NBC. My N400 interview is scheduled for 12 March, and I'm getting interviewed for my GC approval at the same time.
In December, after my I-751 was transferred, I called USCIS and was told both my cases had been sent to NBC for processing. When I got my N400 interview notice but nothing on my GC, I sent the inquiry to ask what the status was. Today I got a response in the mail advising the combi interview.
Really on the same boat in that case... I'll submit the case inquiry in a few days as well. Thanks!
-
Beware... If your case does not get rejected right away and it keeps progressing, maintain a good paper trail and evidence of communicate with USCIS cause you never know when it'll come in handy
