core civic has a facility here in leavenworth that they are trying to reopen for ice/cbp. they tried just 1.5 years ago to reopen it and that was not approved. yet here we are again with them trying to open it. core civic does not have a good track record as a place to work at nor as a place to be held at.

sounds about right. my washer, dryer, and refrigerator are from 2002. i've heard many horror stories with smart appliances costing so much to repair that it's cheaper to just buy a new one, and the repairs come way too soon to make them worthwhile.
